I was on a Christian dating app, and I found a guy who lived close to me to hang out with in person. We both desire to be married. During the 1st date, we talked about our pasts, like dating/sexual history, family life, and the basics. We briefly talked about our faiths and encounters/revelations, but we didn't dive into that. He doesn't text super often when we are not together, so I started conversations a couple of times to get to know him more during our time apart. He wanted to see me 3 days ago, so we met and had a great time. I still don't fully understand some awkward moments, like him not feeling comfortable picking up a phone call from someone I didn't know while I was with him. I sent him a message asking him to pray about getting God's perspective about us before continuing to ensure that we are compatible. He left me on read, and I had to send a clarifying message the next day letting him know that I didn't mean harm with that last message and apologized for coming off strong. He said it was alright, he understood, but he had never heard someone praying for that. I thanked him and told him I had heard people receiving that information from God before, but I realized that people's experiences can differ. He left me on read again.

My boyfriend (29) and I (27) were dating for almost 4 years. We lived together in a rental for 3 years. We talked about buying a house and had multiple house viewing. After 6 months one of our offers on a house was accepted. The day before we had to sign the contract he said he can’t do it because he needs to live on his own first. He feels like he missed out on that experience because he went to live with me right out of college. He says he hates himself for it and is embarrassed but it’s just something he needs to do. He found a rental for a year and is planning to move in next week. He says he still loves me and hopes we can be together again after he found himself. Also that he was planning on proposing to me next year but this is just something he has to do. Should I stay around or leave him?

I'm hoping to get some outside perspective on a situation with a guy I used to work with, as I feel I might be overthinking things. There's been a spark between us, but I'm unsure if it's mutual. Here are some details:

1. **Post-Work Interactions**: We often spent time together after everyone else had left, and he would walk me home, lingering a bit.

2. **Attention to Details**: He remembered small details about me, but I wonder if this is just part of his intelligent and observant personality.

3. **Eye Contact and Body Language**: He often gave prolonged eye contact, making me feel drawn in. He also mirrored my posture at the table.

4. **Subtle Physical Contact**: When sitting close, our knees would touch, and he wouldn’t move away. His body would be angled towards me, though he never sat extremely close.

5. **Mixed Messages**: He mentioned going on dates with others, walks at my pace, and has never inquired about my dating life. His messages are usually short, and we mostly meet in group settings.

6. **Personal Insecurities**: I’ve often felt like the 'ugly duckling' or second choice, so I’m unsure if I’m misinterpreting his friendliness as interest.

Even with no actual experience I still believe I fall under this category, I wonder if I need to manifest the law of attraction or something even though I do think that’s bs.

You know when you have a gut feeling? I’ve been on and off the dating apps for years, it’s come to the point where I’m not as interested & I swipe on matches/reply to msgs every few days. Dating apps are the only way I’ve tried dating as I dont have a social life but dating apps have been successful for quite a few people I know. I’ve never had a real relationship, I saw someone for a few months maybe 5 years ago & something told me after I saw him that’d I’d be single for a long time. With him it felt like settling & I refuse to ever be with someone that made me feel like that again.

I had to use dating apps bc I’m not very friendly & I don’t get approached in person. I’m told I’m cute/attractive & I will say I have a very low sex drive (haven’t masturbated or had sex in 5 years). I don’t think this is a huge deal considering this isn’t something that will be an issue that early on, a guy can’t just look at my profile/see me in person & know that right off the bat.

I get matches (never been the issue) but it’s always: ghosting, fizzling out, lack of interest (can go both ways), feelings not reciprocated, just not a good match & some guys are just crazy. I just always have a gnawing feeling like guys aren’t attracted to me, I’d get told once in a while that some guy looked at me/found me cute but they never do anything about it. And I don’t either hence why I’m posting this

TLDR: based off the description, is this something that’s unlucky in love?

I'm a 23F, about to be 24, still in college. Though I've been asked out before, not by the right guys, I'd never had a first date. I never had a boyfriend. I have a specific type/look in men that I'm attracted to. But the guys I would seem interested in are either not interested in me or they are not aware of my interest in them. I'm quite quirky in appearance, personality. But I'm very smart, curious, open minded and observant (If you're curious as to why I look like, you can go to this link If I'm pretty like people tell me, how come guys don't ask me out?

I'm also usually forward when speaking with others. After a guy who I fell for didn't return his feelings, I shut out and stopped approaching guys and showing interest, in fear of rejection and just encountering the obvious. It took me months to get over him.

A lot of people in my age bracket are already in relationships, engaged or married. And it seems like they're all pretty much the same in personality, style, common interests and friends. I feel like the odd one out without any experience or proposals. I was raised in the Midwest, but I currently live in the deep south. So that might explain a lot. This not only feels odd to me, but like it's too soon for everyone to be married this young. I want to be in a relationship, but I feel like I'm too weird or quirky for men to handle or to be attracted to. Like I just turn them off right from the start of the conversation or minutes into. So I just keep quiet and too myself, unless someone interesting enough catches my eye. I don't like to waste my time with people who aren't gonna make time for me, benefit me or who I see as fake and toxic. Pretty valid, is it not? I know what I want and what I'm looking for, but I'm open for something different to me.
