If I'm pretty like people tell me, how come guys don't ask me out?

I've been told so many freaking times how pretty I am and how much I look like a model, but it seems like the guys just aren't seeing it! It makes me think, am I really pretty or are they just being nice or do they just like what I'm wearing? Yes, I may have a shaved head and dress eclectic and unconventially. And I may talk, think and act differently (mostly because I grew up in the midwest), but I feel like it's mostly because of the area I currently live in, which is somewhere in the deep south. I do see some Afro women in relationships, but not as much as I see White, Latina or Asian women. I try to talk to some guys, but it seems like they're not interested enough or I don't feel any connection. I'm an ISFP by the way.

I've posted 6 recent pictures of myself. Any ideas as to why guys may not be interested in me?

(I plan on moving back out of the south after college).

Well, if it’s usually girls telling you that you are pretty, I wouldn’t take it seriously because there are girls who think other women are pretty but that doesn’t mean men will agree.

Secondly, I unfortunately don’t find you attractive, but that doesn’t mean other men won’t. Thirdly, you have a resting bitch face and you need to work on having a more approachable body language (I know because I used to have a resting bitch face also lol).

Before men decide to approach, they will first decide if she is physically attractive first, then go for it - would you approach a stranger who looks pissed off? Fourth, I’d grow your hair out as I think it would help (most guys prefer feminine women and bald headed women gives off signs of masculinity and feminists).

Lastly, you need to be around the kind of men you want. For example, I approach women in downtown a lot because I like professional women and that’s where many are. Staying at home or being at a club won’t help you if that’s what you’re doing.

First, I'm aware that I don't naturally possess a smile and maybe that's something I can work on, but I don't wanna smile when I have nothing to smile about. If I ain't got nothing to smile about, I'm not gonna fake one.

Second, just because it's mostly women saying so, doesn't mean that it isn't true.

Third, just because someone's resting face doesn't show a smile, doesn't mean they're missed or upset. That's something that people like you need to realize and work on because you can't judge how someone's feeling just because their resting face isn't a "happy face".

Fourth, my head is fine. Just because a woman doesn't have a head full of hair doesn't mean she's less feminine. There are a lot of women with a head full or hair and they give off a lot of unlady like qualities. Again, there's no one way to look or behave like a lady. Same applies for men. Just because a guy is bald, is he less masculine or more? Everyone doesn't need hair to be feminine or masculine. And putting stereotypes onto people like that is not only discriminating but it also shows how the men in society feel a woman should look like, when they have no right or say so in what a woman should look like.

Fifth, I don't go to clubs. Not my kind of scene. I think I'm not in the right region/area because a lot of people, where I live, are pretty conservative and traditional, in a sense.

So, despite your "advice" and "suggestions", I'm not changing who I am nor how I look to attract someone who's not on my level. I'd advise the same for everyone. Period 💯

I think you look stunning, and you have a great choice of clothing! What I think is that due to this, guys may find you intimidating, but you never know who's taking a peek at you from afar. With beautiful women especially, they don't get approached as often as you think they do. I've dealt with this before when women would always compliment me, but I rarely got approached. Turns out I learned from a friend that a couple of her guy friends were interested in me and were wondering if I was available, but I would've had no clue otherwise.

He seemed to get my words mixed up. Never would I ever ask him or a guy online about how to attract a guy with my appearance. I wouldn't change my looks just to catch a man's eye. I do not consider myself Black and you do not know what I am nor how I identify, which trumps what others see me as. Yes, I am an American woman of Afro descent, but I am a Human being first. A woman second. My ethnic/cultural heritage is last. But yes, it's something that is quite common, in certain areas and acceptable, in certain aspects. Some encourage and accept it and many do not. My family wasn't for it. Some still aren't for me shaving my head every week.

But what I'll advise for you to do is to do some research on women shaving their heads in different African cultures and the history of head shaving for female slaves during slavery.
