I've been in two at this point, there was a girl I was with for 6 months in 2020 but she had her mom tell me she passed away and months later when I was talking with who is now my girlfriend, I was given answers by her new boyfriend at the time when I begged him to say something.

She ended up messaging me but offered no explanation and the only apology i got was "I'm moving in with him in a year, sorry". While it sucks that it ended that way, I'm glad she didn't die cause the last thing I did before that stunt was pulled was ask her why she didn't tell me about the late text she got from who's now her current boyfriend at the time. Yeah, that sucked and I wish I'd been with my current girlfriend from the start.

Me and her are still together and going strong. We talk every single day and say "I love you" every day. She's been there for me like nobody else has and I've done the same for her and will continue to.

I've grown so happy with her that I question the way I described finding her, I said trying to find someone was like being on a planet made out of trash and fecal matter knowing that for the entire planet, there's one microscopic diamond there but the rest is literal shit and I had to dig until I found it.

Of course it was all worth it as I now experience love which is something I thought for a long time, I'd never experience in my life and it's wonderful. I'd never want to be with anyone else but I did question if describing so many people as trash and fecal matter in my analogy was too harsh.

However, as soon as I started watching loyalty tests, yeah I'm thinking I was right on the money there, pun intended. You name it and girls + guys did it in those tests, it's sad that people are so horrible to eachother nowadays.

What do you value most in a relationship? The most important things for me are affection, support, gotta at least be cute, nice, genuine, introverted and loyal. Money is a factor but not a big one for me

I've been an introvert for as long as I can remember, I've always kept to myself and often view the "popular crowd" very negatively, often seeing them as nothing more than immature entitled brats who will get nowhere when their parent's money runs out.

While that is most definitely a harsh characterization, it is an experience I've had frequently with those who consider themselves extroverts. I also find that these people are often real life examples of the Dunning-Krueger effect in that they're supremely confident that they know everything while simultaneously knowing absolutely nothing, which explains why these people are so liberal and dogmatic in their viewpoints.

For these reasons, I don't think it could ever work with an extrovert, although my first girlfriend was a conservative extrovert as they apparently exist, however she ended up sorta not really cheating on me. She ghosted me after being official for 6 months and reappeared only when I begged someone who knew her for an explanation and she'd gone with someone else as she then told me.

I've become much more assertive in the past year but still remain an introvert, not liking big crowds and rarely enjoying small talk unless it's with my current girlfriend who I've been with for the past 2 years following the fiasco that my ex created above. I see most extroverts as people who simply follow the herd, not taking a single moment to question what they're being told, or not being capable of thinking for themselves. Of course that isn't true for all of them but it is in my experience for most of them.

My girlfriend has become more assertive as well, not afraid to present an opposing argument and won't nod her head simply to avoid a debate. I'm the same way and the idea of nodding my head in agreement or staying quiet when I have an opposing opinion is a crazy idea to me. Me and my girlfriend are doing great and I couldn't be happier with her☺️
Do you date introverts or extroverts?

I’m almost 29 and have never had a girlfriend or dated. At this point, I just feel like its gonna be a repeating cycle of going on dates, only to get rejected once a girl finds out how inexperienced I am. So I was asking this because I was wondering if this has happened to any guys on here who are or were inexperienced at an older age, or if their inexperience gave them no issues with dating.

My parents and I moved to Texas from Connecticut in 2018 and we're now able to see family much more regularly. I've grown tired of it though as there's no chemistry between me and them most of the time. My cousin and her husband and kids, I have good chemistry with and we can talk for hours. But my immediate family, all they want to do is sit and listen to horrible music from the 70s and get hammered drunk.

It's also a 90 minute drive to get to where they live and when I arrive, it's like I'm a ghost, they just want me there for the sake of being there. Then after an hour or so, I leave to go back before they get drunk so I won't have to deal with that. There's a ranch as well that we go to but it's 4 hours away and they do the same thing there. Sometimes they let me and my cousin's husband shoot guns on the range and my uncle even took me hunting 4 times in the past 4 years I've been here.

It's very pretty there but then coworkers soon show up and start getting drunk, then it all goes downhill from there. I work 55 hours per week in a job at my uncle's construction company but i don't make much and rent is literally 4× what it was in 2019 and continuing to increase well beyond what my job will allow me to afford. I'm taking steps to start a career in LE and I'll be able to slowly but surely transition into my own home by then.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze, if you can even call it that since I don't find enjoyment in spending time with them sitting down. I often go to the bathroom but after doing so, I go to my car and leave and nobody really notices. I didn't go to the ranch for Christmas or Easter. The only person I really want in my life right now is my girlfriend, I've even gone as far as muting all messages besides her. A medication change in late 2021 has made me much more assertive and ready to stand my ground and not let them manipulate me into doing something I don't want to do.

Do you like family gatherings?
