I don’t think he does based off something that happened today, but I definitely have strong feelings for him.

This is a long story so buckle in.

I’ve been friends with this guy who’s almost 10 years older than me since I was 19. He went to back to college, and that’s how we met. We’ve always just been friends and never crossed any lines with each other and are part of the same group. He graduated 3 years ago and moved back to our hometown (turned out we’re from the same city), but we’ve stayed in touch and I see him almost every time I visit.

Last year we were hanging out and the topic eventually went to dating (not each other just in general). I described my perfect guy and he said something like, “oh like how we do?” And that’s the moment the light bulb clicked in my head. Ever since then I’ve been developing feelings for him. I felt like he wasn’t returning my feelings, so I backed off to try and readjust my emotions.

A couple months ago, he called me out the blue and we’ve been texting/calling/watching shows through zoom together practically every day the last few weeks. My feelings for him are back and are definitely getting stronger. I’m not sure how he feels. It’s like he’s hot and he’s cold, he’s definitely sending mixed signals. He’s asked me what my plans for grad school are, wanted to know if I’d move out of state to go to the same school as him, stays on the phone with me while I share my location while in traffic, etc. In a show we watched recently, they were talking about date ideas and he kept telling me he wanted to take me to those places, so I started to feel like he might feel the same as me. Today I finally had enough of wondering and texted him that I’m wanting his attention more and more, and he deflected it and made a joke.

When we met 8 years ago, I was just a kid and he was pushing 30. I’m worried he still thinks of me as a kid and doesn’t see me as the woman I’ve grown into.

Is he just a good friend? Does he want more? What do I do?

I'm 35 and he's 43. We've been dating for nearly 9 months. My mother thinks we sound more like innocent 14-15 year-olds holding hands and kissing but no one initiates anything, there isn't any passion nor sparks at all. We haven't even seen each other naked either. We had done nothing sexual. Honestly, I don't care too much about the sexual part. I'm more worried about the forming a family part.

We had a woman-to-woman talk and she believes that at some point, it all comes naturally and the man eventually leads (or it comes naturally from me) unless there is something about him I don't know. She thinks the fact that he's waiting that long and ok in a relationship he's not getting anything is rare because very few men will wait that long. She thinks that's part of the reason things are taking longer. She believes some passion will help things, will progress things and form a family.

My father on the other hand is more worried about when we'll form a family already. I'll be honest, I'm with him on this one. I'm worried about that part too.

Be honest, do you find our relationship weird?

A women dating around will not only not help her learn what kind of partner she wants, but will destroy her ability to bond and make her ineligible used goods.

Men don’t want to marry women who support themselves.

Women owe men their entire lives bc men must support them financially.

A marriage can not be a partnership thus is offensive to a man. A relationship must have a leader and someone who obeys otherwise it Is disrespectful to ken and only hateful loud mouth cheating aggressive women who don’t respect anyone l, want a partner instead of a leader.

Men expect obedience no matter what is happening within the marriage.

If the marriage is abusive, the woman chose poorly.

Young men are not under a time constraint bc they can marry later. They have time to date around.

A man should be a decade or so older then the women to make the marriage work.(despite the fact marriage in average is 3 years age difference plus or minus, either gender)

Women need an older men to lead them bc they are irrational and can’t navigate life.

A real woman will stay by her husbands side no matter what.

Birth control makes women lazy unaccountable & should be abolished.

Pregnancy is 💯 a woman’s responsibility.
