People seem to have this mentality that if they don't agree with you or like you, they just cut you out, whether that means to fire you from a job, distance themselves from you completely, and even alienate you from the family.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Why can't people just agree to disagree and form a compromise to conflicts?

It used to be that you had to do something egregious and completely out of line to be alienated or estranged. Now, it is something as simple as a disagreement about politics, an argument, or not liking features of one's personality.

I've dealt with people like this... like they have gone through some bad shit in their past and you empathize of course... but then they start bringing this trauma up whenever you need to talk with them about important stuff. you get into an argument and they do this to 'win' the argument... or just to shut you down from talking more. i do hate it and feel its manipulative AF. do you agree?
