The last time I “dated” someone I was 23, we were in a STR for about 3 months & it ended because to me it felt like settling. Since then, I’ve met up with men from dating apps on and off throughout the years. Maybe 1-3 were kind of sketchy, that was in my early twenties too but since then all the other ones were decent but I just didn’t feel them. And I think it was mutual, sometimes I’d hear back, sometimes I wouldn’t but it was known the feeling was reciprocated. I’m old let’s admit it, I’ve never been in love but intimacy scares me & I don’t really have much of a sex drive at all. Sometimes I have to ask myself if I like men because even though I know I do, I do not like any of these guys in the end. When we communicate on the app it seems fine but when I meet them in person I’m just so bleh towards them. They don’t catfish me, they just don’t live up to my expectations & I’ve learnt to not have any at this point in my life.
