So I’ve known my friend for a year through college classes, but we’ve only been friends since December, along with 2 other people. The first semester we met she had a boyfriend and I was getting over a serious 2-year crush so wasn’t interested in a relationship, but I knew I wanted to be her friend. I asked her, but she said no to being friends cause of her boyfriend. I was a little disappointed, but accepted it. The next semester we met again and started talking and hanging out more before our classes. I wasn’t going to be friends with her since I remembered she had a boyfriend and said no, but then I found out she had broken up with him and decided there wouldn’t be any harm in asking again if she wanted to be friends. Around this time I also noticed I was developing feelings for her. I emailed her saying I enjoyed spending the two semesters with her and asked her if she wanted to be friends and gave her my number in case she did. Few minutes later I got a text from her that said and I quote “I really enjoyed spending the semesters with you too and I’d love to be friends with you!” Since then we’ve been texting all the time, but haven’t been able to hang out since becoming friends cause we’ve both been busy. I want to tell her I like her and got her a Valentine’s present (a mug that says “you’re the best” and a small box of chocolates). I’ve read/heard that it’s better to get your feelings out in the open asap, but we’re also still getting to know each other, so should I go ahead with telling her I like her or wait a bit and do I still give her the Valentine’s gift?

I have a girl friend, who I've known since around May. She has a boyfriend so I always looked at her as a friend.

Since December, she became very flirty. Lots of touching (massaging, playing with my hands, fixing my hair a lot, touching my neck, etc.) And sexual jokes (For example, I showed her a hoodie and asked her opinion on it, she said if she saw me in that she'd spit on it, then told me with a flirty smile that that's not the only thing she'd spit on, or I accidentally squeezed her neck too hard and I told her I don't know her neck that well yet and she asked "Well, you want to get to know my neck well?"). Or when she said something slightly mean I told her I'll punish her and she said she'd like it and I'm turning her on. And tons of other examples like this. She's also not bothered by the fact that people think we're together.

She told me I'm her last thought before sleep, I told her don't joke around and she said she's not joking (I still think she was joking haha). Or when she almost tripped she said "I almost fell on you" and I said "Well you already fell for me anyways so what does it matter" and she didn't deny it and smiled. Another similar situation to this when she said my coworker loves me (romantically) and I told her "She's not the only one" and she blushingly smiled.

So I'm kind of confused on what I should think. I'd like to think she's just joking around but she says and does these so often that I don't know anymore.

So I’m at a bit of a crossroads, and thought I’d ask on here. To get right to it, I’m 30 and have no dating experience and never been in a relationship. Usually on Valentine’s Day, I go to the casino to play slot machines while I drink and vape THC oil as it helps lessen the blow that I’ve been alone my whole life. But just the other day, I heard an ad on the radio that the station airing the ad is hosting a singles mixer. Now I can’t decide what to do, but I am reluctant to go to the singles mixer because I feel like where I’m at in my life will get me written off by all women. Not only do I have no experience at 30, but I also still live at home with my parents, all I do for work is deliver for DoorDash, and I don’t have any friends. Asking what you do for work is one of the most common icebreaker questions and saying that all I do is DoorDash at 30 is more than likely gonna get looked down upon. So maybe I should try and improve these aspects of my life and go next year.
