Obviously it will matter more or less depending on which people are misunderstanding snd what the consequences may be, but still, overall would you say you are someone who is bothered by being misunderstood and if so do you resign yourself to being misunderstood, or try to make yourself heard,

or are you someone who does not care much as in you will make an effort to be clear but after that you’ve done what you can and people get you or they don’t, Cesar is vie 🤷🏻‍♀️

I hate being misunderstood it’s one of my biggest issues. I mean I think k it’s good to be clear but it bothers me to I think an unhealthy degree to have people misinterpret health esp when I think they are doing it on purpose or just being lazy as apposed to simply genuinely not getting my meaning. If it’s genuine I don’t kind at all it’s the more disingenuous stuff that gets me. I think bc I grew up in a really crazy environment where true was raise raise ass true every moment was like being on trial by people who only wanted to amuse themselves with your earnestness and see how far you’d go to prove your gawd turn just F you up for life anyhow—- no matter what I did no matter how hard I tried to be correct & precise I was gaslit and punished for stuff I didn’t do.

But I’m no longer in that situation & I don't know I think I should work in letting people do the work if they want to understand something they can ask if not that’s their problem… but basically that’s not my personality lol I’m gonna explain stuff till it sticks or someone walks away 🤷🏻‍♀️

My boyfriend of 3 years got upset because of something I said. He proceeded to call me a fat “c”, fat b$&ch, stupid b$&ch… among other things.

We were having a discussion about electric cars and gas prices. I said that we need to rely less on petroleum and I thought the government should increase the tax credit so that electric cars would be more affordable for the regular person.

He said why should I have yo pay for someone else yo have an electric car?

I responded “My taxes go towards a lot of wars that I don’t support so I think this should be considered the same. There are many things that I pay for that I don’t support. The good this will create outweighs the people who don’t want clean cars.”

He served our country as a Marine and he proceeded to tell me that I was an ungrateful “C” and all the other insults. I listened quietly during his rant. He kept hanging up on me and then calling me back to insult me some more. I was very calm and I remember only saying “tell me more of how you feel about me.” I didn’t insult him back because honestly I don’t insult people I love, it’s not my personality. Then on his last call I was silent and when he was done he said “Do you have something you want to say to me” or “what do you have to say” something like that I was really upset but I didn’t react at all. My voice was steady and the only thing I said was - this is it for us. Then he started yelling again and insulting me some more.

Wondering what everyone thinks about this. Was this my fault? Was his reaction warranted? I honestly don’t think I could ever “be” with him after he called me a fat “C”, and honestly I’m more offended he kept calling me fat than the C word, but I keep thinking who would say these things to a person they love? I wouldn’t.
