I’ve known him for around 8 years. Up until the beginning of this year, I’ve been single. Never really wanted to be in a relationship etc etc.

I am 28 and he is 40. We have always flirted, he’s always been somewhat abrupt towards me in front of his wife, when the flirting has got too much and it’s getting intense he will stop himself and say “I’m married”. He’s always displayed jealousy when I interact with another man. He’s complimented me, he is always staring at me. He has said if he wasn’t married he would take me out etc. One time, he was talking about me in front of me and he said “she likes Italian men but I’m married”

He’s always encouraged me to meet a guy and settle down. However, he does not seem to like the fact that I’m in a serious relationship. He might say he’s “happy for me” but his facial expression and actions say the polar opposite. He is constantly giving my partner death stares, always ignores him (or if he has to say hi, it’s very icily polite), always asks me about him trying to gage if we are still together, when I told him I was buying a house he got very excited and happy - and then asked if my boyfriend would be living with me. I said yes, and his smile disappeared straight away and he became abrupt.

Why is he acting like a child? My partner thinks he’s obsessed.

Guy 1: The Junior
I met him two years ago and developed feelings for him. We're both musicians (amateur) in a band. Most of our interactions have been when jamming. He's younger and under work circumstances my feelings have been a secret. I couldn't let him go, even when he started dating this girl. After less than a year, she was fired and moved to another prefecture. Recently, we've exchanged glances. I'll be fired this month because of my messy relationship with my bosses who tricked me into signing a contract. Well, it's more complicated than that, but the point is that I told the Junior is that I'm leaving. He worried about me. When I leave, it will change the dynamic of our situation- the boundaries that keep us apart will no longer exist. He's a pianist, and shortly after I told him I'm leaving, he invited me to his recital. I promised him I would go, and it'll be the first time we interact outside the workplace.

Guy 2: The Friend
He joined the workplace back in April. He's also a musician and his work involves music. He's my senior. We're in the same circle of friends. Our friend doesn't believe we're a match because he's an "innocent" Christian and I'm not. But, we have great conversations. He once told our friend that he doesn't date in the workplace. But, ever since finding out I'm leaving, he texts often and helped me find a new job. The other day, we attended a formal work event. I didn't notice that he'd texted me, looking for me. I noticed while there was a speech happening and we were seated apart. Afterwards, I was busy talking to others and he was too, so I didn't rush to him. He disappeared and I went to find him. Eventually, I did, and we talked. But, there were others in the room. I later returned to the event room, as it was important to me. At the end, I was taking pictures with others outside. I spotted him walking towards the station and shouted out to him to take pictures together. We did. He told me to have fun at the after party.

So there's this guy i text with, he texted me first and mostly does. But, he disappears in mid conversation. He was also gone for 2 months. But he just always comes back. And it hurts so much when he disappears. I get depressed, crying all day and stuff.
So me and my friends, came up with two conclusions.
1. He knows that i like him. And he thought, 'oh! This girl likes me! Must make her fall in love!' and is using the toxic technique. Just for fun
2. He just does whatever he feels like not regarding what i will feel.
Ps: i asked him why he disappears and he said, 'sometimes i just don't feel like to be on social media'
But he's online forever.
So... Isn't this just another way of saying, 'sometimes i just don't feel like to talk to you'?
So for the first one, I've been thinking this forever. But, when he talks to me, i just brush the thought off. Because, he's so nice, so clean and everything!
Also, i would've known if he was actually doing that right? While talking, i would've known something!
So i think It's rather the second one
And i also want advice on what i should do
