This woman knows I’m interested (I directly said so at one point) but other then that I’ve kept my communication light, funny and non-sexual.

Also I’ve been careful to not to be overly available either. Only messaged her once ever couple days. I’ve been doing most of the initial texting but she was engaging with me up until recently.

But she just texted me “can I be honest about something”. I haven’t responded yet. I’m going to wait to tomorrow morning (she took a full day to respond to my last message). I’m also about 99.99% sure whatever comes next isn’t going to be good.

I am guessing she’s going to say either she’s either not interested in dating and/or she’s dating someone else now. She might give me some line of bs that “she’s got too much going on right now to date someone” (anyone makes time if they are interested).

And then she is going to say “can we just be friends?” and I am ready to respond with “hey it was nice to meet you and you seem like a wonderful lady. I wish you the best of luck”. Then delete her number.

I know it's officially meant for automation per articles of incorporation, but my dad is retiring soon and I can't really find a "proper" job (full time, permanent, standard hours, decent pay, good co-workers, etc). However, there's nothing legally prohibiting me from engaging in other business as long as it's related to tech, with the exception of game development for some reason. Because if I'm gonna advertise myself and offer tech services via NextDoor and other apps, might as well protect myself legally and give myself more credibility while I'm at it.

So there's a speed dating event happening near where i live in a couple weeks and i may go ahead and try it out.

But in the meantime i may as well ask if people here have tried this and how your experience went? Also did you score any real dates while you did it? how far did those go?
