Modern feminism has gotten so sick and twisted that now (thank God) more and more WOMEN are standing up to it. I think women are finally starting to notice that feminism has very damaging to male self-esteem, confidence and identity. This is creating something women absolutely DO NOT WANT.

I recommend watching "the Red Pill". It's about a feminist who researches MRA's and MGTOW. She was cynical, but curious. After months of research she finds herself questioning her own views and the very end says "I"m not sure what to say, but for one thing I can be sure of... I no longer call myself a feminist".

Male privledge still exist. Things have come along way, but still. The worst insult to a man is to be compare to a woman. That is telling enough.

There isn't anything wrong with admitting you have societal privilege. As a white person, I know I have societal privilege. It doesn't make me a bad person. It makes me aware of the reality of things. I could cover my ears and scream and deny it all I want, but at the end of the day I won't have people follow me around in stores thinking I'll steal something or people avoiding eye contact with me when I'm walking down the streets in daylight.

Can you give an example of Male privilege?
I can give you a long list of items which I know as a female I am privileged with that men are not.
      Automatic enlistment for males.
Men are 97% of combat fatalities.
      Men pay 97% of Alimony
Men make 94% of work suicides.
Men make up 93% of work fatalities.
Men make up 81% of all war deaths.
Men lose custody in 84% of divorces.
80% of all suicides are men.
77% of homicide victims are men.
89% of men will be the victim of at least one violent crime.
Men are over twice as victimized by strangers as women.
Men are 165% more likely to be convicted than women.
Men get 63% longer sentences than women for the same crime.
Court bias against men is at least 6 times bigger than racial bias.
Males are discriminated against in school and University.
Boys face vastly more corporal punishment than girls.
60-80% of the homeless are men.
40-70% of domestic violence is against men

I have links to sources for all these.

I do not doubt those facts, but I think you may be missing the larger point. Much of that is an effect of patriarchy as well, and most this is male on male crime and systematic of the rat race that is patriarchy. Patriarchy is bad for all of society, not just women. I know that I have been personally affected by this. I am not a very macho guy and never have been, I happen to be asexual and aromantic which are the only aspects of my identity in which i do not experience privilege. When I thought I was straight, (simply by default because I did not know about asexuality and aromanticism) I was try to live up to a masculine standard that I just could not. Think of this example, a tomboy vs a um... feminine guy? You see there is not even a nice word for men like this. It is still considered shameful for a man to be like a stereotypical woman. So much more so than it is for a girl to be like a stereotypical man. And another thing, A girl being compared to a man is only usually only insulting when it comes to appearance. Otherwise, the worst thing for woman to be called is a "bad woman" i. e. slut, whore, etc.

Hearing a male talk about "the patriarchy" seriously is like someone talking fairies.
If a patriarchy existed, there would be none of those things I mentioned.

The only part of a Patriarchy which could even slightly be used as a base is the predominate in roles of political leadership... which is the way it is not because women are not allowed to be in government but choose not to be. If there were 10 seats and 3 women applied and 20 men... all 3 women get in and the rest were men you could easily say "well only 3 in 10 women are in government" but in fact 100% of women who apply are in government in that case and only a fraction of the men.

But in regards to moral authority, social privilege and control of property; in the domain of the family, fathers or father-figures hold authority over women and children. NONE of that is even slightly true these days.

Patriarchy is a scapegoat for a supremacist hate movement with a savvy PR campaign.

You seem to be talking mostly about political and legal issues. I am mostly referring to social issues. It is undeniable that being masculine is more celebrated in this society than being feminine is. Even if that is not as extreme as other societies and other times, that is still patriarchy. Also do keep in mind that some feminists are threatened and attacked as well. For example, Anita Sarkeesian and gamergate. And that was over video games for god's sake.

How is being male more celebrated?
When I look around being a girl is celebrated constantly.
"Girl power" is a thing... "Boy power" is NOT
The female orgasm is used to sell shampoo, it is glorified in movies, male orgasm is shamed and taboo.
We are given open freedom to say and do what without fear of being accused of some kind of perversion
National woman's day is a major thing. National Men's day gets attacked and shamed every year since it's attempted creation.

Your used of Anita Sarkeesian is hilarious. She isn't even a real gamer, she is a scam artist. The gaming industry is mostly male because there are more geeky men into tech than girls. The games created by girls are not as good as the ones men created.

Look at Dongle gate and the poor guy who got fired for making a common joke about the word dongle and even though Adria Richards had NO part of that conversation, all she had to do was whine and the guy was fired and she was a "hero". That man had ZERO power.

This is getting pointless. We are not going to change each others mind obviously. I know that I would have and could benefit from male femininity not being shamed. Feminism is the best means for me to accomplish that goal. But honestly, I am more of an armchair feminist. I am an asexual awareness activist, The end of ignorance surrounding asexuality is my goal in life. Through this I have learn the importance of recognizing the privilege I do experience, one of those is being male. So forgive me, but this penis wielding male sees general feminism as important for society's well being.

Just because someone claims they're a feminist, doesn't mean they act appropriately in the name of feminism. Some people use the guise of feminism to be assholes, when they are in fact NOT behaving as an actual feminist.

All this stuff is femnazis who don't really know what feminism is.

There is a deep problem with "feminism" as it is. But what do you suggest as an alternative movement? Egalitarian is a more modern idea, it has significantly less force behind it but equally less of a negative reputation

I think it's important to distinguish between violent feminism, radical feminism, and sex-positive feminism. Each of these branches of feminism have totally different systems of thought. Re-read some of these statements and replace "feminists" with "christians" and you'll quickly find you're pretty much talking about Westboro Baptist Church. That's the equivalent you're talking about.

Feminism is feminism, stop trying to break it down into sub groups. The ideology is the same across the board, the entire group believes the same lies, false stats, and they all benefit from the actions of the wicked and do NOTHING to stop them from committing those actions. And if you push the propaganda then you ARE part of the PROBLEM. Emma Watson for example went to the UN and talked about fucking Wage crap... this does not help real issues!

The peaceful majority are NOT the ones getting anywhere and doing anything, they are essentially a useless fraction of the group. Like a charitable section of the KKK. The biggest voices and the most active sections of the group are the evil ones. Large groups like WAR and NOW, they are the corrupt, they are the ones who push bigoted laws and anti-male bullshit. NOTHING "positive" and essential has come out of feminism in decades. It's why they are quick to take credit for basic female accomplishments like when a girl wins an award.

The fact that the Feminist movement has come in two waves and that the third wave is so disorganised as to be nonexistent is something which has happened, which was neither created by me nor can be changed by my denial of it. The earth revolves around the sun. Family, genus, species. Feminism is arranged into subcategories. I'm not trying to break it down; that's just how it is.

If I start a group called "Positivity" and in the beginning the idea was to do good things and make the world a better place and over decades it became a group where the biggest change, loudest voices, and most powerful people were only those who were doing horrible things under the name of "Positivity", it wouldn't matter what anyone said about the group being "a different wave" or "divided into categories"... the group would be inherently bad and would not be something a person trying to do good would want to be part of.
The reasons the scapegoat of "it's not all feminist" is used so often while "the good ones" don't seem to be doing anything to stop the bad ones, is simply because even though the "good ones" don't want to be considered one of the majority they still reap the benefits of those evil actions.

Actually Muslims are defined by the actions of it's people who follow the ideology.

Christians are not because the wack jobs do not make up the larger portion of the ideology.

The negative actions of feminism are not little fringe groups making insignificant change, like the WBC nuts do. It is the larger faction of the group, it is NOW and WAR, it is people with massive power and persuasion, it is the people who get bigoted laws pushed, creates mass media campaigns against men. THIS is not just the "extremists"... this is the CORE/Leaders of feminism.

If you claim not to be though, you must really hate having the same opportunities that men have, for example going to work, having property, not being married off, etcetera. Though this is what I feel and witness daily.

I am a woman and I am not a feminist, and I know many many women who also would take insult to you trying to force the ideological title on them as well.
I am not surprised to see the boiler plate "You don't like feminism, you must hate the stuff feminism got for you"
It's typical for feminist today to use the feminism of decades ago when it wasn't poisoned, as a scapegoat for why you should be part of it today.
Here's a little 411... not supporting a hate group today because when it started out it had with good intentions decades ago, does NOT mean I hate those particular freedoms which happened to have occurred in the beginning stages of the group.
If you actually read Mein Kampf, Nazism started out with good intentions, but you sure as hell wouldn't support it now because of it's foundations.
The actions of feminism DAILY are why I don't support feminism. It has not done anything forward moving in ages. It does a hell of a lot of bad though, but hey... they have good intentions!

Take owner - obviously you never read mein kampf by adolf hitler, the autobiography of himself, and how he planned to rid Germany of communism and judiasm along with everyone else that he did not agree to. No where in the beginning did it have good intentions, don't know how the genocide of several innocent humans would be for good intention anyways.
You also need to realize that there are women in other parts of the world who do not have the same rights as us here in the first world. Women in the country of China have little to no rights, hell they are even forced to get an abortion.

I am for equality for both men and women. If I want to enlist, I want to be treated the same as a man, if I want to work I want to be paid and treated the same as a man, if I want to go to school I want to be treated the same, etcetera. It's nice to live in a country that now grants this.

No actually... I did indeed read Mein Kampf. It does NOT talk about mass extermination of jews.
Historians cannot find a single document linking Hitler to the attempted mass extermination of all Jews in Europe . They have found documents linking his top people, but never him.

Also his intentions WERE indeed good at first. You seriously posted that response believing your google search was accurate?

He was simply trying to dig Germany out of debt and restore peace to his country. But I digress.

I understand that women in other parts of the world have issues, but until feminism, I also see the issues men face not only in other parts of the world but here in North America. For example: Right where you live MEN have ZERO parenting rights. Just like women in China who are forced abortions... MEN have NO say in how the life they create is dealt with. They also are still required to support that life if they choose not to be a parent but the girl keeps it. That is RIGHT HERE!

So you are for equality of both men and women. "If you want to enlist" you have that choice. MEN do not.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Military_service
So if you want to be treated the same as a man, you either work towards stopping conscription or you work towards making it mandatory for both sexes.

When you WORK you WILL be paid the same as a man, you just told me so much about yourself with that statement.
Wage gap is bullshit and has been shown endless times. In regards to being treated like a man, you will have to work the same hours, not take female accepted leaves, etc.

If you want to be treated the same in school, you will either have to give up all the female only scholarships, women only classes, follow dress code. If you are treated like a male you will be more likely to drop out, since it has been shown that schools are geared towards female learning and girls are graded lighter than males.

So yeah, it is nice to live in a country that grants you those priveledges which males don't seem to get.

Yeah because stating he would force individuals in other countries out of their homes and or eliminate them is such a good thing. *sarcasm*
Also with your second post it's funny you use Wikipedia and not an actual military page. In the Air Force, the woman has to be the same weight as the male if she is the same height as him.
I work 50 hours a week and earn a tad bit more than minimum wage and I'm the only person that has a high payroll as compared to my employees. Wish I would have known about schools who do that for women, I earned scholarships based on my academic performance and got the grade that I earned, please tell me where I can go to get this easy treatment since you know? (Sarcasm)

Also with the argument with the child support, why should a child not get the help from his/her mother/father?

OK 1st... please quote the line you are referring to.

2nd. The wiki page was a list of countries where men are REQUIRED to enlist. My apologies if that is funny to you. The weight and height are irrelevant.

3rd Your attempt at marginalizing my next comment fails horribly. Employers pay the same rate when the exact same jobs are taken into account, the "stats" used for wage gap, take ALL jobs by men vs ALL jobs by women and average them out, it doesn't take into account that men USUALLY work longer hours, Harder jobs, and have less leave.
The fact that you earned one of the MANY scholarships offered to women that are not offered to males isn't the point (good for you), the point is that there is a massive number of scholarships available to women only compared to the few for men.

The "easy" treatment happens so much you are ignorant to it.
-Be it, reduced testing for employment, or "affirmitive action".
      -100% perental rights
-reduced penitalties for the same crimes as men
-freedom to claim victim and have it be taken seriously even when it's a lie.

Here's a list of women only groups for you
      en.wikipedia.org/.../List_of_women%27s_organizations

Here's a list of all the women only scholarships
      www.scholarships.com/.../

      Here's a list of women only programs/campaigns/benefits
      www.cultural-misandry.com/female-only-programs/

These lists are long and all have links to their source... but there they are.

thats such a poor line of reasoning. The republican party freed slaves so all blacks who vote democrats must want to be slaves. Except that like feminism republicans have radically changed.

I'm kind of surprised this opinion got a response, especially considering it is espousing the exact same arguments the Take dealt with as being false. "There are extremists...", "If you claim not to be, you must really hate...", etc..

Wow, typical feminist, trying to shame all who point out how hateful their movement really is! Both men and women are waking up to it, and are rejecting the hate, the lies and the propaganda. If they really are such a minority what is being done to stop them? Nothing.

This is well done, I also could add to it, but well researched and presented. My media company is working on a documentary about these issues and I would love for more information. Thank you!

Yeah i see and talk with a lot of girls my age and many of them use it to hate men because of their experiences. Its amazing how this one word "feminism" has caused so much hatred towards each gender.

I absolutely LOVE how every time a feminist attempts to disregard or attack the take owner exactly like she said they would in the original take, She shuts them down with facts and sources. haha
Why can't they can not admit that they are wrong or that they don't have any valid arguments.

Facts are facts and actions speak for themselves. Those who reduce their argument to shaming and personal attacks already know they have nothing to fight with which is why they play by the petty playground rules.

Those are just the few I could get on the post. There are hundreds upon hundreds.
Still waiting for one showing something positive and new... but all I have been getting is scapegoats and associations. Feminism taking credit for stuff they were not part of or foolish wins like forcing a male into a tearful apology because he wore a shirt with a cartoon girl on it.

The one outside the Argentine Cathedral was particularly hard for me to watch. I am by no means Catholic! But that is really in poor taste for them to choose that venue to attack people.

Who would stage their rally outside a temple, mosque, synagogue, church, etc? It reeks of extremism.

The name feminism in of itself shows inequality. It shows more importance to female issues. Egalitarianism is about true equality.

egalitarianism is not the opposite of feminism its not against feminism you can have feminism inside an egalitarian system. feminism is a social movement.; egalitarianism is a political system.

Egalitarianism isn't a political system, it's a social outlook. It's not democracy or monarchy versus egalitarianism, it's segregation or favoritism versus egalitarianism.
Feminism is a social movement, but I like to look at it this way: let's say you are standing on the right side of the room. You want to move to the middle of the room. Initially, however, the act of walking to the left side of the room is the same as walking to the middle of the room. Thus, egalitarianism and feminism seem to be working for the same goals, equality, but that's because they are both moving in the direction of bettering society for women. However, once true equality is achieved, feminism would turn into how chauvinism is now: acting for women's privilege instead of women's rights. Egalitarianism would seek to maintain the equality.

ever thought that perhaps the 'majority' you speak of is because the true majority of feminists work in, well, less horrible ways, and thus are less targeted by media?

If feminism was doing actual good, you would definitely hear about it in the media, they already try and take credit for stuff they have nothing to do with, and they try and turn tiny positives and make them into massive propaganda campaigns, so I can not even imagine how much push they would put behind an actual positive item. (I can't imagine it since there hasn't been one in decades.)

You do hear about it in the media? If you are going to say everything it's accomplished doesn't actually have to do with feminism, then you just have an argument that no one can get around, but it doesn't mean it's true. We have only been making tiny steps, tiny positives, because of so many people against equal rights. Now, as you are saying nothing's happened in decades, I won't push the things such as women being allowed to vote and have (mostly) any job they desire. More recent accomplishments? Calling out rape culture. Feminists are among the most forward group that is trying to put an end to rape, and yes, it's still a very hard battle, but I think that sheds more light on why we need feminism in the first place, if rape is so hard to get out of our society. Online feminism has done so, so much--attacking anti-choice (and since we're talking about equality here, I will also say that I am ofc pro-choice ), will continue this in another comment as I'm running out of room.

online feminism has been there to support so many women (and actually, men too) under sexist attacks, such as the gamers attack female gamers, the nude leaks of celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence... feminism has pushed many pop culture icons to help, people such as Lily Allen, Beyonce, Lavernce Cox--and when public figures have a voice and choose to use it, they can not only spread awareness of the need for equality but many have donated to causes for helping women AROUND THE WORLD. Not just America. You might say 'feminism isn't needed', but maybe that's because you're not thinking of the countries where it IS needed. America needs it but there are still countries where women under 16 are sold into sex slavery. Not so with male children--and other such horrible crimes, you cannot pretend are okay. Feminists are pretty much the strongest fighters of sexual harassment of any kind.

And very, very importantly--feminists, again going outside the obvious, have supported equality not just for men and women, but for those of every gender identity and sexual orientation. Feminists have helped the gay rights movement immensely. I wish I could say the gay rights movement has done the same for women and feminists.

You can tell me they've done more harm than good, but the harm I see is from people who are hateful and anti-equality. I'm a feminist, I'm proud of it, and I'm going to work all my life to make this world more equal--for everyone--whether they support equality or not, because everyone deserves it.

"Calling out rape culture"... stating that 1 in 4 women is a victim, when that stat is bullshit and has been show to be bullshit for decades, that doesn't call out rape culture, that propagates lies and creates false fear mongering making male perpetual monsters when it is no where near the case, it also marginalizes real rape because it creates a society where false claims are taken as truth without proof. It's a bad thing NOT a good thing.

And when you say they are trying to "end" rape... you mean rape of women by men. NOT women by women, men by women, children by women. These things are as pointed out in the post... COMMONLY ignored or shutdown by feminist groups.
