So, I agree with pretty much everything Dave says.
At the end where he says don't stay in school, he's actually saying the subjects that are completely useless to our lives should not stay in school. "And insist these pointless things don't stay in school." Is the actual line, so nobody can get snippy saying thst kids should stay in school. Nobody is saying they shouldn't. It's just the useless shit we get needlessly taught that shouldn't.
"If you can't explain why a subject is applicable in most peoples lives, that subject should not be mandatory."
I have straight out asked my teacher why we needed to learn algebra, where are we ever going to use it, and she told me that the only place she had ever used it was in that classroom. She admitted that she had no idea why she had to teach it to kids who would forget it the moment that test was finished.
I don't have much to say. I'm pretty sure Dave has covered pretty much everything.

If you don't want to learn, if you can't see the value of understanding the world around you then you are already lost. You can learn 'just what you need' and no more and become another prole. I want my children to have a love of learning, I want them to be hungry for knowledge of all kinds, to seize opportunities to learn like a starving man seizes food.
Algebra is beautiful, I would have them learn it for that reason alone.
Its not about not wanting to learn. Its about wanting to learn things we're actually going to need and use. We can learn the useless shit later if we want, but I have no idea how to write a resume, I have no idea how banking works, the only reason I know some first aid is due to attending St John Ambulance Cadets for five years. I don't understand politics one iota, and I don't know the laws of my country, or my own human rights.
Don't your kids have a right to know these things? Aren't they a little more important than algebra?
Here's the site for you.

This is so true. I've yet to have a need for algebra and I've forgotten it all really. But I've realised that school is academic, they care not for what purpose it serves in life only what purpose it serves academically.
HAHAHAHA HE'S A GENIUS! xD
