You are 100℅ right. I wish guys would be guys and girls would be girls. Obviously everyone should have the same choices and options but I do believe guys should be encouraged to be masculine and girls feminine.

Guys are guys, and girls are girls; no matter what hobbies they have, and what they are interested in.

What defines you as a "guy" or a "girl" is your functional XY or XX chromosome.

One of the major things people have to understand is that the gender pay gap is not for the same work, same proficiency, and same hours.
Men generally get higher paying degrees and that's why they get paid more, they also generally work more.
What some people want is pure equality despite decisions of both parties, which is insane. Someone working at mcdonalds shouldn't make as much as a doctor, it's pretty obvious. But that's what some groups want now.
Women can choose to become doctors easily today, they just generally don't as much as men.

First off, equality isn't interchanging gender roles. Secondly, while women DO have higher IQs, IQ tests only gauge one's ability to recognize patterns and take tests. Thirdly, men may be better fit to be soldiers, but just ask Russia, women aren't terrible soldiers by any stretch of the imagination.

Hey if you want to limit yourself to the roles society has prescribed to you be my guest I just find letting other people dictate what I do and how I act to be a sad existence. I'll take individuality and choice any day thanks :)

How did you get a D? Then again I failed English and I'm an amateur author. I think school systems just suck.

I don't see where you seem to have gotten this idea that i'm in anyway intelligent haha, seriously, my level of intellect doesn't go much further then throwing in a fancy phrase here and there to make the rest of my stupid rants seem a little itty bit less mind-numbing xD.

And, I was actually pretty happy with a D, On my practice exams i got G's and E's :/. Though, I don't exactly blame the school system for it, Its designed to obviously single out the smartest student's, which unfortunately i am far from being as i stated before haha.

And an author at 17? Woah!, congratulations and good luck with that!

Man, Living close to my dream there, I always wanted to be an illustrator, it sucked, In art in school, I never got below an A for my art work, Yet i never got above a D for the theory behind it (I just wanted to draw, Not write about what i was drawing ya know?) So yeah.. maybe the system does suck haha.

Oh well... Became a carpenter instead unfortunately haha.

People should be able to do whatever they want. Just don't force anyone. If a boy wants to play with "girl" toys or vice-versa, let them.

Also women are perfectly capable of joining the military. But what I don't agree with is having double standards (lower physical standards for women), because that's how you destroy the integrity of a military. As long as women can meet the same standards, why not let them join the military?

Simple fact of the matter is, Very few to almost no women COULD meet those same standards,

You know, Its retardedly expensive to put a soldier through training and stuff, So, I doubt if they made physical requirements the same, Barely any women would actually pass, Which would cost a metric shit ton in paying for recruits destined for failure.

The reason women have lower physical standards now is just because they simply cannot perform the same as men, Thats not me being sexist, Thats just fact im afraid.

But, If there are women who CAN meet the same requirements, Good for them, And i have no problem with them, But, Is it really worth spending hundreds of millions the government dosent have to fund a female recruitment drive in which very very very few would actually make it through?

I remember seeing something for the British Royal Marines that said only 25% would make the physical cut, And this is for ripped men, How would women fair? Maybe 1 or 2 %?

      Just not worth it imh.

Pretty interesting viewpoint. I can't argue with that.

Though I don't think training for women should be scrapped entirely, the military needs all the help it can get. Just throw people out of the training immediately if they under-perform, and get rid of the ridiculous double standards.

Mhmm, Well. Nah, The military dosen't really need ''All the help it can get'', The US military is the single biggest drain on its economy, if anything it could do with sacking a few thousand servicemen to save money.

The Military actually turns quite a lot of people away from employment for the simple reason they have no purpose for them. Being in peacetime conditions and what have you.

If a war breaks out, Sure, Let the women in, But... right now? nah... Its really not needed.

Men and women are 0,3% different from each other. We all start out with a blueprint which is female (hence why men have niples). In the future men and women will physically become much more alike. In fact we already are. Much more than our ancestors and other animals. So in a way I have to disagree

That 0.3% genetic buildup is enough to create some absolutely massive physical and biological differences.

Everything from different dopamine receptors in the brain (I. e men and women like different things) to different nerve endings (Women have more nerve's then men, I. e they feel more pain when inflicted with identical injury).

So, Yeah, If you want you can disagree on that one point, But, What about the rest of it all? You post only covered with you disagree with 0.01% of my take. and you used that to say you disagree with the other 99,99%.

      Just curious.

When I say equality I don't them to be all the same, I like to have individuals in this world but not gender role specifiing.
There are girls who like that explosion shit and you find them also going to transformers bullshit cause they like dat (not cuz guys), I mean if there were no people telling others what to do and no bullying (bullying is a form of reaching equality, pll who are different get bullied) then that would be a much more interesting world. people be hiding what they truly are

Yes, society is making changes, but its not about genders, its about money & liability. Schools limit the type of physical activities allowed because they don't want to be sued by parents if a child is hurt while playing/fighting/being an innocent bystander/ect. It has nothing to do with attacking masculinity, that blame is on lawsuit happy parents & lawyers.

Actually schools do attack masculinity, its the feminization of the educational system and even the educational system is begining to admit to it. Its why male drop out rates have been increasing and why 60% of all college graduates are female which was not the case 40 years ago.

@hellionthesage Not to mention the rote learning technique employed by our educational system that is not at all in the wheelhouse of most men. Add in all of the ADD medication for young boys who are just acting like young boys and you have a pretty bad recipe.

Honestly, I think it's reached a point that most men would be more successful and fulfilled just chasing a trade and walking away from the educational system as much as possible.

@Someguy17 Very true, then you have the emphasis on "feelings" and lectures etc which benefit women more then men. Its a terrible situation, one which even the educational system is starting to reckonize (albeit slowly). We also have evidence that male students respond to male teachers better yet there are fewer and fewer male teachers (probably due to it being a rather hostile enviroment for men).

      @hellionthesage

Where is your proof that schools are attacking masculinity?

With a simple google search you can see multiple sources that back up my claim, so where is yours?:
      www.google.com/webhp

According to U. S. Department of Education information, men make up only 44% of college applicants. Colleges can’t accept students who don’t apply. But why do fewer men even bother applying to college in the first place?

Men are more likely to drop out of high school than women in nearly all states, though by varying degrees and with low-income and minority men much more likely to drop out than all other students. Even those who stay in school may not see college as an option. Male students are less likely to take AP courses and exams, which have long been used to earn college credit hours before enrolling in college.

It should also be noted that the national male-female ratio for 18-24 year olds is actually 51-49, meaning there are more (traditionally) college-aged males than females.

More and more older Americans are heading back to school, often part time or in the evenings, and their rate of enrollment is rising faster than students of typical college age. In 2009, students aged 25 and older accounted for roughly 40 percent of all college and graduate students, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

I don't really see it. Men and women are different biologically and psychologically. This is proven fact. Him pointing that out isn't really a stereotype so much as common knowledge (well it use to be common knowledge). As for him hating women, that is irrelevant to his current statements. I do not know the context of his supposed hatred or the reason for it and even if I did it would not matter because its irrelevant as far as this take is concerned. As for bias, well how much is your personal bias affecting your statements? You are as much subject to personal bias as he is and since you didn't even explain how that is the case its not a very logical argument. Its something between a dismissal and ad hominid attack. You attempt to discredit a person by claiming there argument is bias and then dismiss it on the same grounds. Its not a very good counter argument.

@hellionthesage honey, this whole website is full of angry women haters. He has no evidence of anything. No peer reviewed articles, no links to scientific magazines, no psychological reports, nothing. He is relying on a trope and a fundamental misunderstanding of what equality is to spew misinformation all over the internet. If I went around and tried to find solid evidence to rebutt every single person that engages in these conversations with me, I would fail out of school because of the time sink. So basically, fuck off.

Its scientific fact that on average women have higher IQ... I stooped reading here, this is factually wrong.

Men have an average higher IQ advantages over women of about 3-5 points, the main difference however is IQ distribution. Men have the bulk of geniuses and idiots, while women are for the most parts average, with very few very high and very low IQ's.

With those facts being totally wrong, do I even need to read the rest!!!

Actually that seems to depend on the country. If I recall, men show higher IQ in countries like the US, Germany, Australia, and some others. While women show higher IQ in countries like Sweden, UK, France, and Canada.

I didn't actually recheck those countries specifically, I just remember seeing their stats at some point.

@OpenClose IQ is not culture dependant, it most properly dependant of nutrients, stimulation and genes.

I do not think gender expectations have influence on IQ (the capacity).

To IQ for men and women look like this (from mensa and they should knwo):
