these days, complaining about "political correctness" is just how people whine about society frowning on them for being openly racist. Like "I really want to call Obama the N-word. I really want someone to call him the N-word publicly. And I want the fact that he is called the n-word to qualify as a valid argument for why he should be impeached, imprisoned, and hanged. Stupid political correctness!"

I don't think that Marxism ignores reality, I think it actually makes a profound statement about it. Also, Marxism is cultural thing to begin with, so I don't see the connection there, however, I've felt for a long time that the PC mentality is way too idealistic and backwards... It ends up creating exactly what it wants to dissolve.

I usually just become more politically incorrect when people try to "correct" me, and I let them know very clearly that the fact that they are offended is not any of my concern, nor is it any of my responsibility to manage their sensitivities.

👏🏼 *high five* 🙏🏼 This is exactly what I've always believed growing up. It literally makes no sense the hating and shaming circle that occurs between people who have obviously been considering being the victim or superior to others for so long. Very well put! Bravo! 👍🏼

I agree wholeheartedly. As a white guy, I'm tired of this notion that all white dudes are just waiting around to inherit the family plantation so we can sit around on the porch dressed like Colonel Sanders drinking mint juleps. It's a ridiculous attitude. Not all white men are privileged. Plenty of white guys struggle in life. For every Chip who attends a private prep school and gets a 335i for his 16th birthday, there are three Billy Bobs who end up sacking groceries at the Piggly Wiggly.

Political correctness and "tolerance" is the new-age way of censoring opposing opinions by directly and indirectly applying pressure onto the person with non-compliant views.

The modern left has gone so far left, they managed to go back full circle and are the biggest intolerant bigots around. Not to mention it is almost cult-like behaviour of outcasting anyone who slightly disagrees with you instead of being open for a debate.

I agree with your take except the black girl part. You can criticize minorities without being labeled racist, just dont say something about their skin color or race. White people are usually the people who make it a race thing, like when they say they dont find a race physically attractive they immediately get self consious and try to explain why they aren't racist for it, when me as a minority understand it and never even said anything. Also when i say i dont find my races girls attractive the only person who said i was racist against my own race for it was white.

Now what you hear in the media about it being a race thing, chances are they just blew something up out of proportion for a story, so take it with a grain of salt. But i do acknoledge some people play the race card.

Remember when there was that whole controversy about some black guy criticizing Russel Wilson, saying he didn't act "black" enough? What is acting black? What is acting white? What is acting a color?
I don't know, and I will continue to not know until someone shows me empirical evidence where people act certain ways based on their skin color.

How DARE you publish such , heretical , thought crimes !! Your IP address has been traced , you will receive an early hours " surprise visit " from agents of the PC KGB. you will be taken to Room 101 for a " nice little chat " , then on to a lovely re-education camp !! Spot on for exposing this BS for what it is... a stinking big fucking pile of BS !! George Orwell's 1984 was not intended as an instruction manual for Western " governments " seems to have inspired them all rather well... Great take, good use of the Pink quote too. Reminds me of some metal news sites/forums where they describe metal bands with female singers as female fronted?

It's like why? What's the point? That has nothing to do with how they sound and singing/instruments isn't limited to a gender. I mean there are good and bad bands with female singers as well as male singer. Their gender has nothing to do with it. That's like describing Judas Priest as a gay fronted metal band.

What about a little introspection? What about admitting that some people slaughtered hundreds of thousands of natives and took over their land? what about admitting that some people enslaved a certain race of people and treated them like animals and thought that these people were inferior because of the color of their skin? What about your own self righteousness? We can be politically incorrect when we don't have social injustice anymore, until then we need political correctness.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being pc. Do your thing, but don't let it become a double standard. Yes, white people committed some grave actions against Natives, for example. But you're not going to say all other races are scot-free in respect to committing heinous acts against others, now are you?

Do you know that the term slave comes from "Slav", and that it was the Roman Empire that enslaved their own color of people from whence this term comes? Do you know that Native Americans enslaved Blacks and were on the Confederate Side for the most part? Nobody is innocent. My European ancestors were not even here in this country when those crimes were committed. Convict the actual criminal, not his relatives. Find out who IS guilty, not assume that anyone of that race is automatically so. Assume also that no race it pure and beyond suspicion. Assume nothing until you know for sure WHO SPECIFICALLY is guilty. "Judge not, lest you be Judged (KJV Bible)." "He who is without sin, cast the first stone" - Jesus

... I never said anyone is innocent. Every race has fault in their history. I think it's completely backwards to hold an entire race at fault for what happened centuries ago. Acknowledge it, sure. But demonize them? Do you hate Germans/Russians too then, for all the stuff that went on during WWII?

Along with all the double standards listed above that came about from continuing to hold specifically the white race at fault, no others for any other crimes committed. Because only the wrongs committed by whites are what really 'count?

Yes, but the people who actually did all that aren't alive anymore. Why should I, as a white person, be punished for the actions of people I never even knew?

As a black woman, you are welcome to say something negative about me as long as it is not about my race or my femaleness because then yes that would be racist and sexist. Political correctness is seriously just a buzzword for "treating people with respect" and I'm not sure how anyone gets pissed off about that. In 2015 people are finally being called out for shitty ignorant behavior and the result is "takes" like this, people getting mad that it's not the 80s anymore and that they can't say shitty, offensive, ignorant, damaging, hurtful things about marginalized people and get away with it.

I didn't write this take because I'm mad that I 'can't say shitty, offensive, ignorant, damaging, hurtful things about marginalized people and get away with it.' I know I'm not alone in people being hyper sensitive about anything that based on race, sex, orientation, etc. and as soon as they're 'singled out' by any of those, they cry wolf. Your co-worker got promoted, and happened to be white? Purely coincidental. Perhaps she was genuinely more qualified or actually put in more work, and skin colour being the determining factor isn't reality...

Political correctness is a disease, founded by people who were too thin skinned to hear the truth. This is why I'm sick of reading the news, nearly every story is a case of PC police. I believe that if everyone just said what they meant life would be a hundred times easier, there would be fewer divorces, fewer lawsuits and more honesty.
