I couldn't agree more tbh. The feminism of today has nothing to do with the real feminism (my opinion). As for the third world countries I agree that women have less rights than men but there isn't much we can do about it. I would gladly help if I had a chance though..

In 1st world countries feminism is no longer needed and the thing we do need is equalism which is equality for all not just making females equal to males in areas that males have it better but ALSO making it so men are equal to women in the area where women have it better. But Feminism is def. needed in 3rd world countries.

I agree with you. There is a branch of feminism called "Womanism" which focuses exclusively on WOC rights in the global North and the global South.

"feminism" is about "women's empowerment" and "special rights" for women. The word itself contains the latin subroot "fem".. which is a focus on women. The correct word for true equality is "egalitarian" not "feminism". Learn the difference!

Part of the problem is that on key issues like the wage gap, there is no difference between feminists and feminazis. Both groups continue to believe that the wage gap is primarily due to sexism which has time and time again been proven false.

Yes I know it is illegal to know the gender of the baby and we all know how law abiding citizens Indians actually are. There have been countless cases of hospitals doing sex determination in exchange of money. Countless. Many daughters are also killed after birth.
So according to you, the fact that there are 945 girls for every 1000 boys in India and lakhs of girls are killed is no big deal? Wow. You are a perfect example of the misogyny. The sex ratio is skewed because indian families desperately want male children and are willing to take extreme measures to ensure it.

As to your earlier claim, India has a SPECIFIC problem with rapes and crime against women while America has a high crime rate in every domain.

@Transigence you don't live in India you have no idea just how severe catcalling is here. Catcalling leads to stalking then eve teasing and eventually rape here in many cases. Wherever you are from, it is not that big of a problem so it does not have legal implications. 90 girls are raped daily in India, if your country will have such problems then you come to know why such a step was taken.
