How Do Arab Girls Look Like "Under Their Burka"

After seeing the ignorance and stereotypes surrounding Arab women and the Arab world in general I decided to create this myTake and share some pictures of Beautiful Arab celebrities.

First off, let me start by pointing out that not all the Arabs or people coming from Arab countries (this distinction was made on purpose) are Muslim. In fact there are millions of Christians living in the Arab world especially in Egypt, Lebanon as-well as significant minorities of Christian Syrians, Iraqis and Palestinians (About 10% of Palestinians are Christian).

After this distinction has been made, another point has to be clarified, even Muslim Arab women don’t always wear the Burqa, in fact nowadays they RARELY DO (The Burqa and Niquab are mainly prevalent in the gulf Arab countries and especially in Saudi Arabia and still, not all Saudi women wear the full coverage and many younger Saudi women just wear the Hijab).

The Arab world regroups 22 countries and almost 400 Million people which basically means lots of different mixtures and looks (different shades of skin color/eye color/hair color and texture...)

The Arab world is usually divided into 5 groups:

Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania), Levant (Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine), Egypt and Sudan, the Arabian Peninsula or Gulf states (Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Bahrein, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar) and finally Comoros, Djibouti and Somalia ( I put this in finally because even though they’re part of the Arab league there is a big debate on whether or not the following countries are considered Arab but I don’t want to get into this).

So without further due, here are some pictures of famous women from the Arab world

I just wanted to point out that the Burqa itself is not a sanctioned part of any religion, only the head covering/hijab which is actually sanctioned in both Islam AND Orthodox Christianity. Thanks again by the way for mentioning that there are indigenous Christians in the Middle East. Too many of my conservative Evangelical friends are unaware of that fact and it offends me as an Orthodox person.

True, Arabs used to wear the Niqab even before Islam, it's mainly cultural and in the Qur'an only the Hijab is mandatory!!!
You're welcome, of course these are very authentic and old Christian populations and I grew up around them, so Sad that some of them don't feel safe anymore, we lived together for centuries and now some idiots are trying to change that...

Girl , im an arab from Morocco , I have to agree about arab women not putting their burka or niqab actually majority of girls here don't even wear a Hijab with that said , sadly a lot of Maghrebians girls are just average looking chicks who wear tons of makeup in order to look " beautiful " but instead they end up making a fool out of themselves and most morrocans young guys including are getting fed up and tired of them that's why you see a lot of arabs men marrying or at least having european girlfriends , the most beautifuls arabs girls are from Syria and Lebanon and they have a sexy accent too by the way in the Maghreb there isn't christians , there are jews arabs especially here in Morocco , yes there are some christians arabs in Lebanon and Egypt but it's just a small portion.

I could care less how they look, the instant you mention the word "burqa," you've lost me. In any case, Christian Arabs are a dying breed. They're dying because Arab Muslims are killing them and driving them into a diaspora that is fanning out into the Western World. My best friend growing up was named Simaan, and his family were Maronite Christians who fled the Lebanese Civil War. They were a prosperous family that lost everything when they had to move. So that's the Arab world, a genocide of Christians as a final solution to the Crusades. Lovely.

It's not true, not only Lebanese Christians died in the civil war, it affected the whole population. I don;t think you know the exact definition of Genocide.

However, if they are a celebrity, they are gonna be the better looking of the bunch, cause they're in the media... and that goes for every race, irrelevant to where you are from... if you're on tv, 'most likely' the odds are that you're attractive.

Are the "famous" women representative of the majority of the women in their region? I highly doubt that most black women look like Beyonce the same way that I doubt that the majority of Arab women look like those women. I could be wrong.

Okay, so these ladies look pretty hot. Still no excuse for the victim-blaming for rape that is the prime reason in Islam for why women are required to wear burqas. That goes back to Muhammad's refusal to accept that Adam was held prime-responsible for the Fall.

I will say this: these images are an extra reason to ban the burqua: all this beauty is wasted beneath those glorified garbage bags.

The burka is not very common, Hijab is what is demanded in Islam and it's not because of rape, it's an act of devotion piety just like how nuns cover themselves :)

I have seen many Arab / Middle Eastern women that look delicious to me.

I'm into dark hair, dark eyes, and darker skin tones so that makes sense for me. :)

These women are certainly gorgeous, but you neglected to mention they are not allowed to walk around in their native countries dressed the way they are in these pictures! Even in less draconian Middle Eastern nations women must cover their hair and can't wear all that makeup. (and additionally many cannot walk around without a male escort) No woman should be forced to do such things.

Then please pardon my ignorance, I do know in Saudi Arabia women's right's aren't exactly stellar. I have seen plenty of pictures of women over in the Middle East at least being required to cover their hair. I saw a documentary on life in the UAE, and I saw women native to that country walking around with their hair covered. May I ask, where are you from? And you got me curious, what do you look like? (You can't blame a man for being curious now can you? If you don't ask, you don't get right? XD)

Saudi Arabia is kind of strict true, sometimes they even apply rules that don't necessarily correlate to religion such as not letting women drive, I guess it's just how their society works ^^ But even when I lived in Saudi Arabia I didn't cover my hair often, the rule is kind of loosened up
In UAE many women cover their hair, true, but it's not a requirement, many other women don't cover!! :)

I would love to get to know a girl from Magreb... for me, among all those arab regions, I prefer the Magreb after doing a little research at images at internet. their dark and deep eyes caught so much of my attention... plus i like their skin colour because it's not as light as white neither as dark as black and it has a different tone from mixed black and mestizos... besides that their body shape reminds me a lot my natives of South America, specially their legs and butt..

Ain't that something? Of course, the arabain feminine culture is exotic but its polarized between two extremes. Because of the male dominant mid east, women barely have a voice and they're gravely objectified, and this has largely caused us to misunderstand them. But as far as beauties go, certainly there isn't a lack of them there.

Yeah I've thought middle eastern women were really pretty, just you could really only see the ones from nations that were more progressive.

I have noticed at least from my university, women from the middle east are REALLY tiny, sorta like Eastern women. Granted, when you're 1.9m and 105kg, a lot of people seem tiny, but it was something I've noticed. Tiny is cute though.
