You guys do realize that the vast majority of times that race matters is just when you or someone else thinks it matters. By bringing it up more and more when it really doesn't matter at all, you're only further separating us out more and more for no good reason which isn't helping anybody.
That's because it is a problem. It always has been and probably always will be. There's no need to stay hush hush about it
There is no problem here... Who someone wants to fuck doesn't matter. Who the majority of a certain color range of people want to fuck also doesn't matter.
Sigh... that's not the problem
Enlighten me
Look at what @SomeOtherGuy said. The point is that black people still date black people and most don't prefer white people over there own race there's nothing wrong with interracial relationships but it is false that black people feel like they need to date white people to feel "superior" white is NOT the ideal race for most black people and many other's
"The point is that black people still date black people"
That's where that sentence should have ended. Like I said, who black people ACTUALLY prefer doesn't need a mention whatsoever. Race hardly needed to be mentioned at all because that's never the case in the first place. It doesn't matter what race it is let alone what skin tone of a race you are.
Race matters a lot more than you'd think.
If I was born black in America, there is a much higher chance that my family and my extended family will be poor, which greatly limits my access to a lot of capitalized services such as education; medical, mental and dental care; and STEM Camps and Programs. This can go on to affect my jobs and put me at greater risk for incarceration.
Because of my constant run-in with the law, and negative depictions of me in media that have shaped people's views, Police Officers are more likely to have a negative bias of me. This perpetuation also causes those of my race to feel paranoid and afraid of cops, especially since it's only been 60 years since people of my race gained equal rights.
Many people's grandparents are over the age of 60, and lived during a time when white people truly did have more rights than black people. The prejudices held by them and by my own black grand parents have most likely been passed down and still exist today.
This is only a chunk of the issues faced by people of color in society today.
I'm not saying that today's generation is responsible, but we do have a responsibility to put an end to the cycle and acknowledge that these issues do exist. We also must accept that they will take a few more generations to be fixed.
The best thing you can do is not pretend like Race doesn't have an effect on a person's life. Race does matter. We are working to make race a non-issue, but that will not happen in my generation and maybe not even the generation after me. But eventually it will happen.
What does damage us though is when we are not inclusive of our race. Blacks that are racist against whites should be called out, because you are barring your community from being understood and allowing your issues to be solved through cooperation and communication.
But that is all a tangent away from the myTake anyways.
I couldn't have said it any better then @SomeOtherGuy did 😌
@SomeOtherGuy I understand and agree with you, however, you're missing what I was saying. I'm saying that in the majority of cases, race only matters because you or someone else feels like it matters. In the example (s) that you brought up, the past generations are the ones making it matter for the future ones/ours and it has a sort of ripple effect (although it’s obviously a bit more complicated than that). If they didn't have the those prejudices, then it wouldn’t have mattered so much today or at all. Now, this seems pretty obvious so why am I bringing it up? I’m bringing it up because the myTake Owner is bringing up race where it doesn’t need to be brought up. It doesn’t matter what race the OP that spurred her myTake mentioned.
That’s not that case with any race, so, there was no reason to make it such a big deal. There was no need for her to mention her own skin tone, there was no need to guess who black people prefer, and there was no reason for her to make assumptions about who the other races’ “ideal race” is or is not. The only thing that serves to do is further separate and categorize people for no good reason. It’s only dividing and, as a result, indirectly hurting people in the long run because it’s only enforcing the idea that we need to be separated out into little groups and separate those groups into groups and so on and so on when that’s really not the case nor should it be.
Race does need to be brought up here. This obviously is an issue
You can't just say something is true without backing it up. How was it necessary to mention HERE, not in the example (s) that @SomeOtherGuy mentioned on this thread.
That was the point of the video's and picture's... That's proof right there. Also the link to the guy's silly question is proof that it's still an issue
I already saw all that.. I'm looking for an explanation of your "proof": How does it disprove me?
I already made my point pretty clear. I don't get what your trying to prove...
Categorization is extremely important. Don't ever deny that.
It is the backbone of our language. It allows us to unify together and to communicate ourselves to others.
The only time it is dangerous is when our unity causes us to be exclusive and gated. If I identify as a black female, that identity has it's own set of barriers and shared experiences that a majority of black women face. I would be able to unify under that and share my experience, which is extremely liberating.
However, if I refused to communicate my experience with others outside my group, or was hostile towards anyone who I felt didn't identify, then it would be detrimental.
It's a tool with a lot of positive and negative repercussions based on its use.
Classification is important. Don't deny someone their identity.
Unity and egalitarianism isn't about denying people their culture and identity. It's about being inclusive and open to all cultures and identities, so long as they're healthy ones.
I wanted you to provide a valid argument instead of using circular logic. :/
You can't use the thing in question to prove the thing in question... I was hoping that you'd go through your myTake and explain what exactly disproves my argument so that we could continue the discussion, but @SomeOtherGuy's is more than adequate.
@SomeOtherGuy Yeah, I should have clarified that in the response: While categorization in general is very important and necessary, not EVERY categorization is important necessary.
Continuing on through your response, categorization is inherently exclusive and gated. Otherwise, what would be the point? “I would be able to unify under that and share my experience, which is extremely liberating.” I agree. Racism are still very much an issue, regardless of WHY it’s an issue, and be able to unite with those going through the same thing is very in important when dealing with that, however, that’s not so much the case when the wrongdoings against said race aren’t relevant. The phrase 'use in moderation' comes to mind.
Lol I'm going to be honest I'm to lazy to type out everything I really want to say and read these long paragraphs your writing
Your going into things that has nothing to do with the take...
Feel free to bow out
I'm talking about a broader topic with him because he brought it up and I feel the points he's making are worth discussing. It's not like you're contributing much to the discussion anyhow.
Lol because I don't have time to. I barely get on this website to begin with. I only get on here when I'm bored. I don't take anything serious on here. It's not important enough for me to feel the need to contribute.
If that's how you feel
my god... do SJWs pretend to be stupid all the time?
Black women I want y'all to know that as a black men, I love my beautiful black queens and I will always love y'all nothing makes me happy but to be with a beautiful black women. I plan on marrying one and spending the rest of my life with a black women.
You love who you love. The problem is that being "light skinned" was portrayed as better and reinforced by people. Just do you, if you don't want to date outside of your own race that is good for you and if you do want to date outside of your own race that is also good for you. Respect what other people do that is right for them.
... That's not the point !😩
True. As valid as your argument is, Anon, the point here is that Black People are still dating Black People and this concept that they aren't is overblown and silly.
Thank you !! @SomeOtherGuy you actually comprehended what I was saying and understood the point unlike all these other people
I totally comprehended what you were saying, I was just saying to respect the decisions of other people. This includes the decision of many black people to only date other black people.
All you need is the statistic that less than 10% of black people truly marry interracially. Case closed.
Well yeah.. Statistically the majority of people date and marry within their race.
Exactly...
Well I haven't actually seen that question before until now, but I just wanna point out that liking one race doesn't mean that you dislike other races. I've seen attractive people of all races.
That's not the point of this my take...
What? Do you mean black men love white women and black women love white men always and you STILL have hope?
?
?
What? I said black men love BLACK WOMEN and black women love BLACK MEN lol
I don't know why everything is always blacks vs white race. I just prefer the human race period. Are they kind? Are they respectful? We all bleed red.
That's good... More people should be like that but, that was not the point of this take.
You missed the point

@mutedaisy lol thank you for actually comprehending what I'm saying
I know. You're were saying that many black women and men still prefer their own race. Which I can see your frustration with the guys question, it was quite silly, I just personally like to see everyone for who they are as an individual, not just their race. So it's weird to me to think of any race limiting the dating world to a single race when there are so many beautiful options out there. But that's just my opinion = ). Good job on you take!
@mutedaisy I absolutely got her point. If you read my response, all I was saying was that everything is always whites vs blacks and it's ridiculous to limit yourself to one race without ever knowing the individual. Can you understand that? Should I find a rude picture to go with my comment to you as well?
Yes I agree with you again that people should be more open but again that's not what this take was about... Black and white will probably always be an issue. This take had to do with an issue that involed the race black and, white. Which is why the focus was on those two specific races.
Okay... the question the guy asked: why do black people like white people? He goes on to say that in HIS experience, everywhere he goes it seems the black men like white women and the black women want white girlfriends. He says they are "obsessed". Right? Then you said in your take basically: Hey guy, where are you from? Around here the black guys I know wouldn't date a white girl and the same goes for black girls. And you started that by addressing the guy with "this is so not true". Then you even went on to say that "The people who are saying these things aren't even black so they should not be speaking about something they don't even know about." Am I tracking? So without sugar coating it anymore, and please don't take offense, I'm trying to let you know that I get it... this take comes across as you being offended almost. You even say that his experience is wrong. You said that. How can you tell him his experience is wrong because it differs from yours?
Just as he can't say your wrong because your experiences differ from his? And because he isn't black as you said, he shouldn't be allowed to speak about his own personal experiences? That's what you said. Again I TOTALLY get what your saying.
So... after reading both sides... again... the point, is pointless. Both of you have experienced different things. And so I was nicely trying to say that it really doesn't matter who dates what color or why. Anyway... I'm done now lol. Night!
He used the word "obsess" Many people on here try to make it seem as if black people are obsessed with white people. As if black people think white people are better then them. That is offensive indeed. This was not just directed to his question but, his was just an example. He is wrong to say that a black man would pick a "white" or "tan" women over a black women just because there white... That is not true and that's offensive to black women and black men. I personally don't believe that he should be speaking for every black man
I can agree with that, the bottom part of his question was ridiculous and I agree with you about that. He shouldn't have worded it like that or spoke for an entire race or gender. No one should because no one can.
He said that given two women one white and one black a black man would pick the white girl even if the black women is more attractive... That's where he put his foot in his mouth. That's obviously bs
And again, as I said previously, I agree with you about that. He shouldn't have said that.
Okay... So basically while I agree with your original comment... It isn't relevant to my take
Lol I'm done. 😂 Everything MINUS that one comment at the end is relevant. Goodnight.
Okay if you say so like mutedaisy said, you failed to see the point. Gn tho sleep tight (:
Child please, lol
Lol. I thought you was going to sleep?
" @mutedaisy I absolutely got her point. @Mistnigqa808 I don't understand?
#OPOwner I was just tagging her for you ^_^
@Mistnigqa808 oh, forgot I was anonymous, 😜 lol. Thanks = )
@Mistnigqa808 there was no point in tagging me.
@mutedaisy im sowry + please dont kill me... im too young to die >_<
@Mistnigqa808 lol you're 99 %
I'm a white guy engaged to a black girl... Is that wrong now?
No ! There is absolutely nothing wrong with that
I agree with your sentiment but this is dumb as shit, just as if an Asian said Asian women still love Asian Men. Most of the time all races date and marry their own, so these kinds of posts are vapid.
i just love women, simple as that, im half black, i dont care for the race if she is fine in my eyes, she is fine.
I love black women and black me tho
That's awesome!
Yassssssss!
You understand where I'm coming from?
Yes and I agree with you
Thank you. I thought I was the only one
Ok cool intake. I basically did this for the xp, sorry not sorry.
Okay lol... I don't really care
You cared enough to write a response lol.
I'm saying I don't care that you just wanted the xper as in I'm not offended that that's the only reason why you commented
Oh i see. So why do you feel you had to write this intake. Like who cares if some people think that.
It's annoying and people need to stop believing that bs
I prefer to date white women, not due to media streotypes, etc. But this does mean I won't platonically befriend a black woman. Yes, I am a blk male.
Okay... Lol. That has nothing to do with the point. Your one black guy who prefers white women... Okay cool beans.
I literally was told once by a black guy i had a huge crush:"Im sorry but I dont date girls who look like me"
What race are you?
Lol
If i said he is black and he doesn't date his Same color. guess what am I...
I thought you were saying that he said he doesn't date guy's who look like him... Okay tho what's your point? He obviously was just very ignorant
My point is that you are cluesles about real life and you proved it yourslef, by posting this insta pics and this take... please, child.
Lol. Care to elaborate? How am I clueless about "real life" when I'm speaking about reality? My personal experience. Your comment was irrelevant
Keep ignoring uncomfortable truth, you will go far...
good luck lol
Keep believing bs lies and you will go just as far (:
Lol. Actually you haven't. You don't even know how old I am. If your 29 and I'm 17 then you haven't lived my life twice. If so you would be 34... So yea check your math
Ugh, dude get lost, so annoying You can't argue with everyone who has their own opinion and own views.
You look like a retard now, honestly...
Lol. Mad or nah? Noone said you had to respond. It's not an opinion tho. It's a fact that black people still date other black people😂 If anything your the one making yourself look dumb
no they don't. they just don't and that's the reality, face it.
Lol 😂 okay. You sound dumb but if that's what you wish to believe I'm not stopping you
Wow people like you have a one side track mind , you can't speak for every black women and black men in this world. There are black men who love there beautiful black queens just like there are black women who love there black Kings. Stop being ignorant and stereotype.
Good luck arguing with a brick wall.
I'm not arguing I'm just letting these dumb mf know the truth. They can get mad all they want. They just look stupid and naive believing that bs.
Yeah, but they dont think they do lol
Lol well they do. They can go on looking dumb. I'm just going to keep lauging at them.
Good attitude about things!
Lol yup
Fascinating, very fascinating.
happy new year !
