The True Reason Why Black Women Give Dirty Looks to a White Woman with a Black Man

Being Bi racial I've heard so many stories and perspectives about interracial relationships. And one thing that always seems to come up , especially from white women is why Black women are so angered seeing a white woman with a black man. Most of you will think it's jealousy, or that they are simply racist. But it's much deeper than what it appears.

Lets start off with how white women are viewed in society .I had done a google search on beauty campaigns and advertisements . And I notice every single campaign had a fair skinned white woman attached to " get bigger lashes" or " but this perfume so you can smell like me" it's funny but it is almost rare to see a woman of color on a beauty campaign. Which strikes up the idea unconsciously that women of color don't belong on campaigns because they aren't considered beautiful . Especially when worldwide campaigns of white women shown in a predominantly mono race that isn't white poses the question why aren't there more beauty ads of women of color. But it's okay to have a collection of white women in ads who all for the most part look the same.

I also looked up romantic comedies.why? Well for the most part I believe everyone enjoys a movie about romance. Hoping one day they can have a romantic story of their own. And it is no surprise when it comes to leading roles the majority of movies are based on white peoples love lives. I can't really think of any box office hits where the leading roles were a black man and a black woman loving eachother without problems.So is the underlying meaning that only white men and women deserve love and black men and women don't? And if they do fall in love why is the black woman being cheated on in the movie and ends up keying her husbands car?

So what I can gather that we are taught through the media is that black women are completely invisible.. in their beauty and in their love lives .Of course we all know that is not true but this is what society has shown us.

So yes there is a difference between a white woman who is embraced by all aspects of life and cultures and a black woman who has been shunned and invisible by not only society but by her counterpart.

By all means I am not trying to put down interracial relationships or saying that they aren't okay . Because I truly believe people fall in love with the person not their race. But I answered the question and hopefully these social stigmas of what is beautiful will be open to all cultures and races and not just one

A lot black men have made it clear that they don't think or find black women beautiful simply because they are black. Yes self hate and internalized racism is real. But honestly when I see a black guy with a non black woman (and maybe other black women think this as well) I think "oh, another black dude and non black woman, typical". We see it all the time now and most of know why, yes some people just fall in love with someone outside their race ( I have, I'm dating a Spanish/Mexican man). But a lot of black men have been brainwashed into thinking if you got a white girl or girl who's closer to European decent, then you made it and will have it easier. It doesn't help that some of our men are telling us to be proud about being black and to embrace. Drop fake euro hair, stop the blue contacts, stop bleaching, etc. Then we sit back and listen to them and we're like you know what they are right about this. We should be happy with our blackness cause this is how God made us and we shouldn't hated it all. So we go natural with our hair, eyes, and skin and we present that to our men to thank them for it. And what do a lot of black women see or get it in return? We see them running to the nearest woman who looks or has the exact something he just tol us to get rid of and stop embracing. And some black women are just standing there like.. WTF are you serious? It's like we just can't win in society or even with our own men and black women are just getting fed up with it. We're the ones who birth you, feed you, fight for you, and support you but we hardly get that in return, but instead we get shitted on by them. Yet they want to say we're angry to much, we fuss to much, we too strong to much etc.. When you're constantly being downgraded and called something you are not, eventually you're going to snap because of it. And because you snapped it just gives them even more reason to believe the stereotypes or thoughts they have about black women. Go on you tube right now and you will find a bunch of Tommy sotomayors just giving black women shit.. its frustration for a lot black women, especially dark skin black women.

I think if you start with an assumption and look for justification for that base assumption you'll find a way to prove your assumption correct. When that conclusion wasn't based in reality from the beginning. Media is representative of culture. It does not dictate the culture. That's why children from all racial backgrounds can watch shows growing up like Batman and feel inspired to greatness, because the race was entirely irrelevant.

Not once growing up did I look around at characters in movies and think "why are there so few black people. I can't relate to any of these white people. I guess i'm nothing, because I'm not being represented on a racial level". What I did think when watching shows growing up were more along the lines of "That person is only human. If it's possible for a human to do it, then it's possible for me to do it". You often hear the idea that racism isn't born with, but is taught. This is another one of those things. Somewhere along the line someone told you that you need to see characters on tv and movies who are your skin tone for you to feel as if you can be empowered to do anything at all. And that because that hasn't happened you are now a victim and justifies the hate you feel towards those who are racially represented.

I disagree with you. Media plays a major subconscious role in everything. How come fictional super heros as Batman, Superman, Spider man, Iron man etc are never black? But the maid, cafeteria lady or garbage man is black in cartoons, movies etc.

Granted my childhood did include shows like Justice League with a black green lantern, black heroes and Static Shock a black super hero. Afro Samurai. Smart Guy on Disney. Sister sister was always on in my house for my sister to watch and so on. But I also watched anime shows where largely Asian characters. So in part where I'm coming from is that the media she is talking about in this take is already out there. These are American films, right? Blacks make up 13% of the American population. There are not as many black women in the movie industry for the logic alone. It's not that they are shunned. What's the difference between a black woman's love life and a white woman's love life? How about we just recognize them as women and not black/white women?

Also, if we're going off of pure logic here, white/European women were voted as the most beautiful on an international level in a study. Indian women were voted the least attractive and I think blacks were right above Indian women. I mean, these are just public opinions from the population on an international level.

There are several good Hollywood examples of black couples. Will Smith has been in several (Independence Day for example), the Cosby show had a highly successful black couple madly in love.

If it went strictly by racial statistics, we would see about 12% of movie and tv character couples be black. If you add economic statistics, that number is going to drop by half or more.

I suspect you are correct that many black women disparage BMWF couples. But I think the reason is they are thinking, "So, a black woman isn't good enough for you?" I think they also have the problem that so many black men are in prison that they don't like having their dating pool poached.

The problem is worse for college educated black women because their college degree rate is so much higher than for black men.

I'm from South Africa and because our population is 80% black , most of our adds and beauty campaigns have images of black people on them. Exactly. There are audiences for black actors, but in smaller amounts. The same ratings drop would happen if they made half of the shows on BET (if that's still around) with white people. Does an audience with 90% black people want to watch half of the shows with white people? Probably not statistically. Do black girls prefer buying black dolls or barbies instead of white? I get told I'm unattractive because I have a big nose and wide lips and I'm tall and curvy. My hair is too kinky and short and it's ugly. I have noticed sexism at work in the sense that women have fairly often made comments that I'm a male and they were expecting a female (because they'd be more comfortable). I figure those are things guys deal with but never think about, while women spread their oppression over the internet.

I recently heard a guy talking about how he was stopped by a police officer because he supposedly looked like a suspect (he was black). It sounded like he was upset about it. Then I thought about it and the same thing happened to me when I was like 21. A police officer asked for my ID because I looked like a suspect with similar clothes that he was looking for. I thought nothing of it all this time. If I was black I would likely think, "Oh my life is so hard, omg my oppression!" It's a matter of perception.

Well I went to a girls school with African-Caribbean girls and I happened to be only South Asian girl, the bullying I got was really terrible, I was made fun of, hit, kicked, slapped, spat on, sexually assaulted list goes on. I was told by teachers I would never go far in life.

I remember I was 7 years old and the head teacher asked me to tell my Mother I was a dirty nasty ugly child.

One child said to me I am vermin.
No one played with me in primary school.

I went to Church and no one spoke to me or my parents we happened to be only South Asians.

The human race is evolving, we have things like technology yet were still worrying about who's face is on a magazine? Who cares? Culture and race are two different things, a white girl born in china is Chinese maybe not ethnicity wise but that is her culture. Black people in general are the most loved and deviled race of all time.
Also, plenty of black comedies are top grossing, but for real NO rom com is actually any good.

Well, for a start Dolce&Gabbana is an Italian brand, and black women in Italy were, until a few years ago, a rarity. Romantic comedies in Hollywood have always involved white people, because that's how most people thought about when thinking "romantic comedy". I think that if black people stopped being so peevish and started instead to produce good romantic comedies, the public at large would welcome it, and stereotypes would crumble. Instead, what we get from black actors and producers are paedagogical and boring. It's basically the same principle still upheld by porn producers: why is "interracial" a thing? It's probably the most racist single manifestation in show business, yet it has gone unchallenged for years and years.

White owned companies,
in majority white countries,
usually hire majority white people, because that is the biggest pool of people in their area.
Also they are trying to apeal to the largest group of paying customers, which is the majority and those people are white again.

There are attractive people of colour, but there are fewer of them because their population is lower in white countries.

I genuinely don't care if a black guy dates a non-black girl. If you're happy, that's great. I'm not mad at all. However, there are times when I hate being black and envy nonblack girls. I feel like guys automatically shut down a girl and find her unattractive because she's black. It's discouraging and upsetting honestly. I don't hate white girls at all, it's not their fault they're white. I hate that my skin tone is what makes me unattractive in a lot of men's eyes. I wish I could be one of those girls who don't care, but I'm not.

I'm a black woman and I think its great! If anything I have had white women give me the dirtiest and most confused look when I look like I am involved with my white male friend...

So I'm not sure where you live, it may be different, but where I am in a affluent metropolitan place it is fine and no one cares, but then again haven't been in your shoes.
