My impression always was that the primary reasons for this was that 1) there is a shortage of black men to begin with and 2) successful and therefore epecially desirable black men "being taken" by white women caused particular anger among black women.
My own experience in dating or talking to black women (including mixed race ones) is that other black women liked it and viewed me more positively for it (I am a light-skinned Hispanic) whereas some black men viewed it negatively.
Partly true and partly not. In 2017 nearly all groups are portrayed in the media and there are a lot of women of color in adverts, tv shows, movies etc. ANY person that has an issue with interracial dating has that issue because of some prejudice they have. Regardless of what may have brought them to that point, there is some slight form of hatred and that is disgusting, no matter who you are.
I think its cause white people are the majority in your country. It has nothing to do with trying to put a stigma on other races to be not beautiful. But the result of always seeing beauty from one race is people of that country tend to be brainwashed. Brainwashed in the sense that no matter how you look at it, media does influence our perception of beauty. For example , this new fascination of bigger curvy girls with booty.
Blacks have no real money to represent themselves in Hollywood or media as good as caucasians in general.
It's all owned and operated by cacausians and blacks are at the mercy of cacausians to get some relevant shine and appreciation when it comes to media, culture and beauty.
However, in black countries black men and women are fairly represented well in crap movies, low budget commercials and beauty magazines etc but can't never compete globally against caucasians as a whole in anything.

what about all the other races that aren't White, do they also suffer from "White Media"? Coming from a Non-White dude, don't blame the system, look at yourself and become the best version of yourself to show everyone that the media can't control your life and that you can live life the way you want to. The problem with victim mentality is it gets you nowhere in life, but makes you bitter/angry all the time.

If you want beauty campaigns with black women in them, go to Africa, just like you go to Asia to see Asian women in ads.
Don't expect a society that is like 80% or more, white, like is the West, to have black women represent 50% of the ads.
P. S: interesting it's all about black people, while ignoring Asians and Natives.

The issue is , the "Good black men" usually marry/date white women which leaves black women with limited options with it comes to dating.

In western civilization, whites are the majority that means that they're going to be starred in the majority of product adverts and movies.
If I went to live in Nigeria I would not get angry at the fact that almost all movies are made by black people about black people for black people.
im in a interacial relationship with black guy and from what i heard why the black woman keep looking is because their own guy dont wanna date them.. and lots of black guys nowadays chhose to marry other than his own race.. i have lots of African friends and they said the woman is too materialistic...

In my country for the past 10 years it's been advertised with all colours both on tv and in shops. Especially foundation adverts.
I can't disagree with the film thing though.
What else do you expect in a nation that is majority white compared to only 13% black? I'm sure black role models dominate over white ones in African nations!

im biracial and when I was watching a movie my mom was like 'see this is why you never marry a white girl'' its so strange hearing these words especially from your own mother. my mother has basically tried to brainwash me into not liking white girls of course that didn't work but still... a lot of my family think its acceptable to be racist towards them and its not right.

You'd never date a black woman? Seriously dude, the skin in the end is just a particular pigment. Likely what you have seen of black women may not portray them in a positive light. But in the end of the day, ANY race can become instantly sexy. Trust me. The fact is, most men crave any woman as long as she has a nice body and long silky hair. Ask any guy and most will admit that is their ultimate dream. There are plenty of black women as well as women of other races that are exactly that. Also, you may end up dating a woman that looks completely white, yet up a few generations, has completely black family. So in reality, you can't just want a particular race these days. People are simply too mixed up now to get anybody pure. And anyone truly pure is not worth finding as it'd take a lot of research and time that in the end won't be worth it. For all you know, you have African heritage. SO be careful what you wish for.

Most of the pepole in my area are white then middle eastern or Asian so it's a lot less likely but I'm perfectly open to dating black women and the relatively few black women i have known all left good impressions.
Oh. Sorry I guess I misunderstood. But let me mention this though. I lived most of my life in Texas. When I decided to try online dating, there were multiple profiles that stated flat out NO BLACK MEN. I'm sure this was true vice versa. So it sadly does exist. You are right though that it would be hard to do so in the middle east as I've been in Jerusalem for almost a year so I completely understand. I am so glad you aren't actually part of that problem and please disregard.
Thats exclusively a Kiesha problem. Black men don't give a shit. In my experience black women have the highest and lowest self esteems, yes at the same time.
Not trying to discredit your opinion since I totally agree with you, however it seems like things are starting to change now. The Bachelorette tv show just had its first black bachelorette this past season and a white guy won the competition. The movie Get out was also a major success with its main character being a black man involved in an interracial relationship with a white woman.
And there are the black girls that don't give a damn, I just stopped by to see comments.

It is silly that someone could be viewed as less attractive because of the pigment in their skin.
Silly but true. Studies show that people view most dark skinned women as significantly less attractive than lighter/whiter skinned women. This is why so many dark skinned women buy skin bleaching ointment or use lighter foundations of make up. They want to be accepted my society's definition of "beautiful".

It's not just the pigment of their skin. Blacks and whites have different facial features. Every race has different facial features. Example... native Americans have very high cheek bones. Asians have slanted eyes. Blacks have bigger lips. Blacks have different hair. It's not just as simple as skin color.
I date a few black guys, hung out in total black clubs never ever noticed any dirty looks. Also never heard any racist shit from them. Was always fun. May be because I don't give much shit
