This is just a marketing ploy for kids to buy more barbie clothes since "one size does not fit all" anymore lol

of course it is. I wrote about that in my first take on the subject. These are moves spurred on by drops in Barbie sales. They are hardly doing this out of the goodness of their hearts.
So when are they going to make fat Ken dolls? Or ones with actual penises and five o'clock shadows?

Well, I looked it up and I don't know about a fat Ken Doll, but Barbie already has "Barbie Shaving Fun Ken Doll" where you can "shave" ken's face or have the hair grow back. As far as an actual penis, Mattel has maintained that the dolls are for children, more often then not, specifically for little girls. They don't want adults or children to sort of view the dolls in a sexual way. Hence, no nipples, no pubes, no underarm hair. I mean even adults can't see a penis in a movie without the film being X or unrated... and we're adults.
Now let's see if they can do the same for movie stars. Males included.

That's nice. I wonder which one little girls will like to play with the most?

That's kind of difficult to say because technically its going to be the parents buying the dolls so if they aren't into say buying the curvy doll or the petite doll, the kid will never even get the chance to experience having a variety.
Wow. Have you never known any kids before? That's not at ALL how that works! They'll see the options when they play with friends. It doesn't matter at all what their parents buy them.
Actually I worked with kids for about five years, and my statement still holds true. Whether or not its the child's parents or a friends parents, parents are going to be the ones buying the dolls. Do you know most kids don't have or make their own money because they are too young to hold a job. Yes... so my point is STILL if parents aren't buying the petite or the curvy or the tall dolls the children won't even get the opportunity to have a chance to try the variety in dolls. Of course if a friend has them, they might get the chance to play with them.

They are just fucking dolls. They're toys man, who cares?
But will they have the Rocky Dennis Barbie?
That's what I want to know.
Wait til 3D printing gets better and then you can make your own to your exact specifications.
Great.
