About a week ago i saw an online dating advertisement with the picture of an Indian woman dressed in a traditional Indian dress along with her traditional Indian nose ring, while I thought she's beautiful and the dress was nice, the caption said "Meet Single Arab Women Near You".

And if you google "Arab people", the featured image is a South Indian man wearing traditional Arab clothing and headpiece.

Also, there's a video of a girl interviewing random people on the street asking them to mention any Middle Eastern country or any Arab country, most of them answer “India”. Arab is somehow is associated with Bollywood as well, when Bollywood/Tollywood is from INDIA and NOT Arab :|

First of all, India is NOT an Arab country, and not even in the Arab region. Furthermore, Indians and Arabs speak different language, have different religion, etc. But since it seems so many people need a brief geography, language and religion lesson, so here it goes.

India is in South Asia while Arab countries are in West Asia.

Arabs are Semitic, and yes some people in North India can be mistaken for Arabs, but the South Indians look more like Bangladesh or Sri Lankan and are said to be of originated from Dravidians.

Indians speak Hindi, Arabs speak Arabic. The language is totally different and even have different writings.

Indian are mostly Hindu, Arabs are mostly Muslim. Hindu has many Gods and Islam has only 1. I'm not going into details are they aren't remotaly the same religion.

While Arabs are Caucasoid, South Indians are Australoid

There’s a South Indian man who was staying abroad and people keep asking if he’s from Middle East. They asked so much that he got annoyed and started wearing kum kum (the red dot) on his forehead. From then on he was greeted with namaste 😂

If I talk regular shit or something that doesn't show traditional culture - 99% people think I'm an American. Remaining 1% think I'm British.
If I talk about things that involve culture (music, dance, clothes etc) - 50% of people think I'm from Middle East. 45% of people think I'm from India and I speak 'Indian'. 5% of people think I'm an Indian and I speak Hindi. Which I don't (but I'm glad that they didn't say that I speak 'Indian').

Many Indians can't speak Hindi. Many of my friends can't even understand it!
Also, that woman is most probably from either Rajasthan or Gujarat.

I wasn't too bad - I knew a lot of the differences - I think distance is possibly a factor since I am in Europe near the Middle East and India, I have a better chance to tell difference but I might struggle to tell difference between a Chinese and Japanese or Korean person - Good informative take.

It's easy for me to differentiate Chinese, Japanese and Koreans. It's kinda difficult to explain through words because I'm Chinese so I can differentiate so yea. I'll try my best to explain. Japanese is the easiest to differentiate, they normally have kawaii (cute) looks and are more tiny in general compare to Korean and Chinese. Some (not all) Japanese girls have crooked teeth and they have warmer skin tone if I'm not wrong. When differentiating Koreans and Chinese, it's a bit difficult. Korean has more of a dewy, snowy looking skin. Most korean girls look very innocent (considered pretty) and for Chinese, the girls have more like a dolly skin and figure. So yea, I can't really explain well, sorry if it doesn't help. Haha.

Actually India is not a part of any Arab country. Pakistan is the part of Indian before divided. India have all culture Muslim Christian. And Buddhism like this so there is wast culture in India. So yes somehow Indian look like Arab or Arab look like Indian. I never seen any Arab guy or girl but through the picture I think no Arab are not look like us.

geography in middleschool was basically memorizing maps and the name of places, bodies of water and moutains on it. i rejected the stupid memorizing of shit in general and intentionally wrote straight F in all those tests. i didn´t fail the class over all though, cause i made up for it in the interesting topics.

Americans don't learn geography, typically. Some high schools offer it as an elective.

In any case, geography isn't really a valid subject, beyond some basic knowledge of how to read longitude and latitude, and the orientation/transit of the earth. Also what you're talking about is not geography, but anthropology.
