You could draw the comparison with other fascist leaders to the same affect.
Citing Godwins law is a non argument. In this case, comparing a modern tyrannical socialist movement to the Nazi's is an apt comparison and dismissing it because "Godwins Law" is ignorant.
Godwin's law only states that the longer a political debate goes on the more likely it becomes that a comparison to Hitler will be made. It is NOT A case of "you said nazi/Hitler, you lose".
Come up with some substance or admit defeat.

Who the victims are doesn't much matter, all that matters is that there WERE victims.
I'm well aware of Hitler killing his political opponents very early on, the possibility that some of them were socialists is meaningless, they opposed Hitler for one reason or another.
This is no different than Bernie Sanders supporters being against Hillary Clinton, she's not extreme enough for them. Her policy ideas are leftward, but not leftward *enough* for Sanders supporters. Just like these socialists who were killed by Hitler were not socialist *enough*.
For someone to be like Hitler, they do not need to hate homosexuals, Jews and everybody else Hitler hated, they simply need to hate a group or groups of people to the level he did as well as support most of the policies he did (big government, minimal personal freedom, etc).
