It's time to break the ice and introduce some people to reality. I find it hilarious people will say that certain dog or cat breeds are much more playful or loyal or protective or what not, but there is no such thing as race in humans. Talk about willful blindness.

What's the point? Yes we all have genetic differences but we all have to get along and live together. And we are all homo sapiens, no neanderthals running around I hope. And imagine if there were neanderthals.. what kind of racism would they face!!!

And not to state the obvious, but actual genetic differences between races would be one of the best, if not the only, real reason to discriminate based on race.

Discrimination based on genetics is stupid! I mean that's like saying it's okay to discriminate against disabled people (due to a genetic defect) and think less of them because their genetics are different!
Actually, any kind of discrimination is stupid! Who are we to decide that one person is better than another?

Not in the generic context, no. That was the product of Darwin and eugenics in the 19th century. But the ancient world recognized differences based on ethnic origin, tribal affiliation, and the like.

To an extent, I agree. But as a Hispanic, what I hate about this is that it is told through such an Old World narrative that it completely dismisses the indigenous peoples of the Americas by just lumping us together with Asians. How would Europeans feel about being lumped together with Africans since all humans came out of Africa?

If whites are so intelligent how come they were living in stray huts for thousands of years while at the same time advanced civilizations existed in the Middle East, North Africa, and India?
Does your IQ theory explain that?
Or will you just dismiss inconvenient facts with pseudoscience like "ancient aliens" and "ancient aryan race"?

if all the people in your blood line have lived in a particular place in the world lets say Canada then you will have genes which allow to live better in Canadian environment. skin colour darkens as you get closer to the equator as it is most hot at the equator, there's more sun light there so peoples skin is darker, once you get below the equator skin colour becomes lighter again. your race is determined by evolution.

I actually touched on this in point 4. "Kind of makes sense, especially if you believe Africans spent the last 100k+ years being shaped by evolution in Africa, and Caucasians spent the last 100k+ or whatever years being shaped by evolution in much colder climates." The environment will have a big impact on the genetic lines that survive in a population, that's for sure.

yes, African people are better protected from skin burns and skin cancer caused by UV rays, in turn their skin takes a longer time to convert UV rays into vitamin D. Europeans are less more prone to skin burns and skin cancer caused by UV rays, but their skin coverts vitamin D in much less time.

this is so because in Africa is a lot of sun, while in Europe there is little sun in the winter and vitamin D is necessary.

so all the Somalis going from Somalia to Sweden for example are going to be out of their element.

Yup, such as point 4, Africans might be more vulnerable to cold. I also remember reading an article about Caucasians having much worse allergy problem than other races... which would make sense, when you consider the colder environments Caucasians originate from don't have such an abundance of pollen, fungus, mold, exotic plant life like Africa, for example.

Races may differ genetically, but that does not JUSTIFY, give ANYONE the right to discriminate against someone because of skin color or ethnic background.

Also, why does it matter if races mix? Is that any of our business?

Hmm. Why do people NOT have the right to discriminate based on race? It may not be nice, but who are you to say they don't have that right? The President of the Universe?

Such as, Black Lives Matter does NOT have the right to use force to shut down political rallies or events they don't like. But they have every right to hold their racist, prejudiced views if they wish. There is no thought police in the USA--people have the right to associate with who they wish, and hold what views they wish.

Because it is PRIMITIVE and IMMATURE. Do you want to go back to the time period where people were kept as slaves? Do you want another civil war, is that it?

I do not agree with how BLM protesters are going about things at all actually.

I am not denying your claims at all all I am saying is that with this take it seems as if you are trying to justify why it's okay to be racist.

If you rely on strawman arguments like claiming civil war and slavery will happen if "racism" is not forcefully stamped out, you might need to examine your logic and what you believe.

And since when do we let what is primitive or immature stop us? Abortion is a perfectly legal "right" than people will riot and protest if threatened. What is more primitive than killing your own offspring?

I do agree there must be differences between then races due to obvious difference.
However, I can't shake the feeling there is an malicious agenda when research says one race is somehow superior to another.

I never said one policy is what is needed, you can have social policies that help everyone without claiming one group is superior to the other.

Respect must be shown to everyone in order for unity to occur.
For example, workers during the industrial revolution were fighting for their rights because they felt unfair treatment. After they got them, progress in the western leaped forward with many new innovations and inventions.

Everybody has certain needs that must be satisfied. Being viewed as inferior is detrimental, everyone has that need of being treated as a equal human being.
