If you really broke down this election campaign process and listened to the public... There was very little "pro-Clinton" talk.
There was plenty of pro-Trump, anti-Trump & anti-Clinton. But very little pro-Clinton from the everyday public.
I should have seen the writing on the wall on this election, noticing all the above throughout the campaigning.
Clinton, with her determination to steal the nomination from Bernie is the reason the Democrats lost. People *hate* Hillary. I only voted for her because Trump was clearly worse.
Good thing is Mexico still refuses to pay for the wall and no one's gonna make them! Even if it does get built they'll just dig holes, use ropes, or sail around in boats. Besides something could happen. On the other hand I will now prepare myself World War III and The Hunger Games. I mean Jennifer Lawrence warned us. Hope everyone who voted for him will now realize their mistake and regret their decision!
u realize they never had a choice in the wall... its paid for in tarrifs... holes are much harder to dig than u obviously understand. ropes u can't use if someone is watching the wall which was part of the wall... how much stupid can u try to show in one post? and sail around? lol so now ILLEGALS are buying sail boats? they gather all their toliet paper to make the sails? did they call the cubans to ask for drafts on how to make rafts? The SAME thing happened back in 2000 when Al Gore won the popular votes yet George W. Bush didn't. Bush won the electoral vote and my parents said they remember everyone being P I S S E D.
The only difference is that no one was fearing their for their lives and futures, no one was having panic attacks, there weren't any protests or riots, the suicide hotlines weren't busy, Canada's immigration website was still up and running etc.

the democrats message was far too narrow , they were focused on winning the votes of 1 or 2 large cities in most of the swing states , they completely forgot about the rest of the state. which allowed trump to win places like Michigan and ohio. trump was smart enough to realise that voters outside of Cleveland and Detroit feel ignored and forgotten by the democrats and looking for an alternative
Actually half of your concerns are miss placed I would even suggest that the alternative should have been more alarming, why have soo many people completely forgotten about the Clintons pre 2000, Clinton was/is against gay marriage is a rape enabler, and is accused of being part of a paedophile ring, if just the accusation is enough to make trump public enemy no.1 why isn't the reverse true

Based on straight numbers, it would seem that democratic supporters were less unhappy with him than with their nominee - since it was democratic voters not turning out that turned the tide.

@jacquesvol What that says to me is that people would rather not vote than put their hat in the ring to fix things. The support for the republicans was about the same - it was the democrat supporters that gave them the win.
Especially in light of that, in my humble opinion, anyone who didn't vote can STFU.

2012, actually. I was 11 at the time. I was raised in a very political family, so I've been surrounded by politics since before I could walk. This year wa the first year I really explored each candidate in depth

Actually, i'm outraged with the supporters of other parties because they are just making the whole situation worse by protesting and shit. Trump is going to be your next president for 4 years. The people who are protesting are just idiots who need to accept the results and just move on. Trump could be good for you guys, but he could also be bad. Only time will tell.

that is normally how it works. one is good so the other never learns ;) even in kids. if the parents are good, many times the kids won't learn and the next generation kids will be good because they will hate their shitty parents cooking because their parents never really learned because "grandmas" cooking was awesome.
