It makes me embarrassed to be liberal, honestly. I care about global warming and climate change, I believe in reducing unemployment even if that means government created jobs, and, to an extent, I believe in free education at least in theory.
But, God...why do other liberals love poor people so much?
It's the ultimate irony because they don't actually know any poor people in their lives besides the ones they give money to on the street. There's very few poor people who even feel they have enough stake in the country or in life to give a damn about the term "liberal" and probably doesn't know or care to what it means in the context of progressive agendas.
I don't feel like getting the link but i'm sure you've seen something like it before--someone on facebook posted a video where a guy wheres a suit with dollars attached and holds a sign saying take what you need. a bunch of rich manhattanites take tons of dollars while a homeless guy takes only two dollars and says that the guy should give the rest to other people who need it...
Are you kidding me? First of all, it's money. People want money and honestly i doubt people would feel comfortable just taking dollars off of a person. Also, it's single dollars. No one rich cares that much about single dollars. Also, really? A homeless guy only takes two dollars and tells you to give the rest to someone else. I have countless stories of homeless people thinking five ten even twenty dollars wasn't enough. Who are you kidding with this?
And a final news flash, other liberals, POOR PEOPLE DON'T LIKE YOU!!! That's why they systematically voted for Donald Trump over you and always try their best to vote you out that is when they even care enough to bother (low income white male voting had dropped during obama's two terms)
They don't like liberals because they see through the BS. Libearls don't care about poor people. They care about making themselves feel good and getting recognition from the hippsteresque community that they're helping the less fortunates. It's humiliating to an actual poor person. Sure, a homeless person will take your money if you give it to him, I mean again it's money. But he's not going to say "thank you so much sir you're so darn generous and kind with the way you look out for us lesser poor folk!" Especially in America, ever man and woman is a king of their own mind and believe they are the center things. To the poor, rich liberals are something to be maligned and maybe even taken advantage of. In a poor person's mind, being poor is awesome and becoming one of the rich is selling out. The percentage of poor people who actually are obsessed with upward mobility is not as high as you think. They're happy being poor and hey why should we be mad at them for that?
So let's use our liberal love of doing good to reduce crime, to raise the amount of kids who graduate college, to create a really strong middle class where all people in America can thrive rather than act like we're Jesus coming down from the cross to save all the unfortunate souls with our benevolent and Herculean compassion.

To address a new troll strategy that's being waged at me, I don't care if I get "comments." I write because it's on my mind and get messages all the time giving me props on takes (not that I need it necessarily.) Most blogs and articles don't actually have in depth comments on them if a comment section at all. They're for reading if you're interested and talking about with your actual real friends (something I'm sure the trolls who have the time to write anonymously on a strangers take don't have)
As for why I don't get many "comments." Again, a lot of it is on purpose. Yes, there are some people who have personalities that make people just want to suck up to them for some reason. In reality, the vast majority of well known people on here have quit because at some point the amount of hate lodged at them from the community was too much to handle and it wasn't fun for them to be on here anymore. The way I keep my head above water is blocking the majority of moderators and other well known people on here. They respond to a lot and essentially dictate what reaches the top of the site's page. They never see my stuff and so I only get noticed by people who come on here casually which I prefer. Again, I don't write for props and i certainly don't write with the expected intention of getting trolled.
And finally, you're welcome trolls. You're welcome because really you're either no one or you're someone who i've blocked and has now resorted to going anon. You're welcome because you have a fine, young mind addressing your existence and for the two seconds you can use it to feel like you matter.
And to the people who run this site! There used to be a time when i would open Gag and No BS i would have over 100 notifications back before you got notifications for invites or for likes. I know you do your best not to promote me because i am an ahole for lack of a better word. You should be much more concerned with traffic to your site than appeasing preteen girls, but you won't 'cuz you're pussies...
