Why Everybody Should Delay Sex Until They Are 30

Here are reasons why everybody should delay sex until they are 30 years old.

1. Mature State of Mind

In your twenties, your brain is still developing. You should use this time in your life to build experience in post-secondary education and a career without the worries of relationships, sex, and children.

2. Some Money in the Bank Account

You should start a Child Care Fund, just in case you get an unplanned pregnancy. Just put some money in the bank that you intend to spend on your future child. It is an investment like adopting a dog from an animal shelter. You put in some money for the child, hoping that the child will grow up and bring you some good returns.

3. Enough Time to get Preventative Medicines and Check-Ups

If you have not engaged in any sexual activity before, then you should use this time to get vaccinated, because this is the perfect time to do so. This brings to my next point.

4. Enough Time in the Workforce to get a Job with Health Insurance Coverage

Vaccinations aren't free. So, you may want to work up for a job during your twenties to get health insurance to get the vaccines.

Disagree because:

- You can use contraception during sex or have sex without penetration if you're a cis heterosexual couple who doesn't want children.

- Some people gets mature earlier than others. So something that applies for some don't apply for everyone.

- Depends on which countries when it comes to point 4. Health care is free where I lives and families with children gets family benefits.

I wouldn't necessarily wait until my thirties before having sex, but all of these points are influencing you to have more of a mature state of mind and a great organization habit to where you're ready to have sex before you know you are, and that I would agree with.

In college and in high school, I'm sure people had sex for fun or really because it was irresistible for them, and that's okay.. and yes there were accidents causing pregnancies, making it a better choice for them to be more prepared before having sex at that time. Though it really comes down to when you've matured, and when you know sex isn't much of a priority in your life rather than other things such as school before it's really time for you to start having some fun.

I believe that phtsical maturity stops at around 25. But there is no correct age for mental maturity. Becoming financially stable and saving money for dating, wedding, kids, and all that beforehand is obviously a good idea. There is really no correct age when you should start having sex or start a family. We all live differently. Whatever works for you is the way to go.

I think most people should just wait until they are with a person that they are in love with that they could see themselves with for a long time. I personally want to get married and have children but waiting till 30 is too old to be trying to do that in my opinion... 25 is preferable but that's just me

It may be beneficial to start dating at or around 25 (whenever one feels adequately stable around one's circumstances). That way, at least you have 5 years of dating experience before you hit the big 30.

The main point of the myTake is not to emphasize the exact age, but the circumstances often related to age. One big factor is wealth. At 30, many people would have some job experience or are somewhat stable/secure in their lives. Of course, some people waste away their 20s, sowing too many wild oats.

What if you end up in a freak accident being disfigured by then and then no one would ever want to sleep with you? Or what if you simply died in an accident before then? Either case you never got to experience sex in your entire life because you waited to long and something happened before it

Absolutely not. Feminists want to deny biological reality and it often ends in disaster for these women. So your idea is to become educated, get a great career, and find a man in your 30s I guess right? Women don't tend to date down, that's female nature and it's what you're wired to seek out - signs of a good provider. Therefore you'll need to find a man just as successful as you, or more successful, and in comparison to the average these guys will be well of guys. What you ignore there is the tendency for men to prefer younger women - it's what we're wired to seek out - fertility. Those successful men will prefer younger women, and because they're successful they'll have that option. Thus older women often struggle to find a good guy to settle down with as they find that most of the good ones are taken already. Then, if they do find one, they aren't as fertile so they struggle to conceive, and maybe don't have any at all.

I've met many couples like this, they either eventually give up or they spend thousands on IVF treatment desperately trying and failing. Then, if they do get pregnant, because they're older they're more at risk of complications. One man I spoke to who was in this situation with both of them having waited til their late 30s had to watch his wife give birth to a still-born. Other older women I've spoken to have told us how lucky we are to have kids and how much they regret not having any because they waited too long. It's a terrible idea. In the end they're miserable.

Well, the purpose of birth control is to control population growth, regardless of personal happiness levels. I think it's doing a fine job. You can't have life both ways.

I don't think it's one or the other. I think all societies should progress to more education and career opportunities for women. If women don't want to reproduce so early, then they can at least make themselves more useful during their lifetime by entering the workforce. Sure, their fertility will drop as time moves on, but that's the point.

30 is still in prime adulthood. A bit late, but still the prime. Anywhere from 13 to 39 is considered the prime adulthood. If you have sex when you are 30, then you still have 9 years of your prime years left. :D
