You disagree or you dont like them or what they say.. But everyone has their take on things, whos to to say he's right or wrong. But being rude is no answer. To reply in a way to put your view point over, if not you just end up in slanging match which goes no where...
My boyfriend calls me names that I dislike even after I say please don’t. Now he always use the “it’s a joke” explaination. He even say “im gonna abandon you” or “discard” and when I ask how can you say such a thing he response with “it’s a joke”
Try, "I wonder how funny the joke would be if I abandoned you because you continued to do things that hurt my feelings after I asked you not to."
If he says, "Are you serious?" you can say, "Maybe I'm joking. Maybe not."
But if he says, "But babe, you KNOW I'm just joking, I told you that." You can say, "Yes, and I told you that I don't like it. So are you going to stop it or not?"
I mean really, you deserve a man who treats you well, with respect. Is this guy so awesome that you need to put up with verbal abuse and threats of abandonment which are power plays and manipulation? If you stand your ground, I guarantee it will stop. It's possible he will try to call your bluff and say, "Fine, it's over," in which case you say, "Fine," and walk away. Then he will run after you and say, "I was just kidding! Ok, ok, I'll stop with the joking around."
You're the asshole. It's because of assholes like you that Trump won.
You can't expect to be liked and go around saying "if you say this, then I'm going to label you something insulting."

Aditionally, if you don't like someone'someone's jokes, just punch them, then we can all laugh at you getting your ass beat.

Yeah,... this topic has always been tricky. If you make any kind of comment to someone,.. either that person will take it as a joke or they will be offended & report you in. Now if the moderators of this site wishes to remove this off, go ahead, but it's true. That's just a given fact.
5. Is the one I run into quite often. You run into these trolls who hurl insults and castigate entire communities. Then when you call them out for what they are, they whine about it. They can't take it.

well said man, this is why the only person im degrading in my jokes is myself or if i make a joke that might be offensive i try to keep it to a minimum. what's the point in jokes if they only upset people

I agree with every word you said. All too often I see people making derogatory terms about women, treating them like sex objects and then pulling the joke card at the end. It's not funny, it's disturbing, and primitive.

Well, I somewhat agree with you... For example, when I'm funny, but not THAT funny, it's because I'm a bit stupid.
