the problem is when girls expect everyone to auto matically believe every rape or harrassment allegation, they are trying to get rid of innocent until proven guilty

The more movements that women come up with the more I just rather be alone...
The #meetoo nonsense has made women toxic. It's already falling apart, as we are now seeing women whine about "None of the men at work will risk being alone with me. WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
lately feminism and equality movements has become a "big thing" in our society. while i think its a good thing that more people are paying attention to the issue, i can't help but to wonder why couldn't be a normal, everyday thing?
It gave women the courage to speak up. It sent a message to women that they didn't have to hide in shame and silence any longer. That they had support and understanding - they didn't have to face and endure harassment alone.
Great take, sexual harassment and sexual assault need to stop, and thanks to @Political_dude to inform us this movement is finally changing the way people think and act
I've not thought much on it, but I guess its easier to stand up for yourself if you have the support of others who are going through the same thing. Its no longer one person against the world.
Yes. There is the women who exploit producers sex drive in order to get a better role in a movie. And 30 years later they decide it was only the role they wanted. Not the sex. The entire Metoo "movement" is nothing but a plot to destroy families of wealthy people. The nice thing about it is, that it destroys the women as well. They have the triumph of a week of attention in the news papers. But do you really think that they will be asked for working in companies? They are nothing but a risk factor. Every specialist in the field knows that rape allegations are 81% false. Metoo added a new quality to it. Now you should "just believe" the "victims" (notice the wording "victim", which makes you think the case is already solved when all there is is an accusation). Women have plenty of reasons to make things up.
I'm just talking about the fact that is had begun in the black community before it drifted over here.
Race may actually have a lot to do with some people's experiences with sexual harassment, to be perfectly honest. The founders of this movement can probably school you more than I can on that.
But my point was only to say "that's why most people didn't know".
@MyteriousDarkness, do you think I am claiming we weren't?
You asked, "Why didn't most people know about it [the #metoo movement] until last year then?"
And I simply said it hadn't gone viral among white people until last year. That's all I am saying, and you're going off on tangents that have nothing to do with what I said. I'm just answering your question.

Haha! I bathe in your tears, sweetiekins!
MeToo is a JOKE!
The bullshit of the #MeToo (bowel) movement. ↗
Dear ladies, if any date with guys didn't go as you expected, please, put a status #MeToo

Because it is often self contradictory.
I never get in a car alone with a woman I work with.
I never close the door to my office if only me and a female co-worker are in the room.
I never go to dinner alone with a woman I work with.
I try to avoid working with any woman under 35 or an unusually attractive or thin older woman.
A lot of people think that if one person makes a false claim the whole movement must be bogus, but that's not true.
I hope it leads to a change in society where powerful people are not permitted to get away with sexual harassment.
It gave women the courage to speak up.

It is but how many of these stories do you think really contribute to the movement. Plus there is a double standard in Hollywood

All #MeToo has done is change the way men interact with women. It certainly changed mine.
It has be 12 years for the #metoo movement. Why didn't most people know about it until last year then?
It hadn't gone viral among white people until then.
@MlleCake What does race have to do with it?
I'm just talking about the fact that is had begun in the black community before it drifted over here.

@MlleCake Other races were being harassed, abused, raped etc before the metoo movement even begun.

This is still a thing? I give it another 6 months. There will be some legal reform, then it will be forgotten.
Uhh... nah man. It's not.
It's a hashtag. It means nothing. There is nothing new under the sun.
Why do people give this movement air time. honestly people will get out of this phase and it will be as irrelevant as it was years ago.
12yrs... shoulda been sooner
I don't think the MeToo will change much: it's mainly a present to tabloid publishers and hypocrites
