She got hurt at work a free years ago but she wasn't approved for disability. She couldn't work for a while and no matter what we did we couldn't get anything but stamps. I worked a bunch of jobs for a while but learned no matter how hard I tried some kind of mental barrier was preventing me from being a "subordinate" employee. I am a hard worker who never took breaks as I hated to loose my groove. But I am more than simply an impatient person and because of that i often criticized criteria and plans as well as other employees for not being professional or rational. I'm also prone to anxiety attacks.
So after a few years of small jobs and alimony that went away once I turned 20, we just ran out of money. Things got higher in price while we were barely making anything, and by this point my mom was working again yet it still didn't do anything.
Damn sorry to hear man. That's an issue within the U. S., there is hardly any backup for the ones that really need it. I hope times will get better for you and your mom, don't ever give up trying. If possible try to move to a city with more job oppertunity. Sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom to be able to get back up.
Good take. I spent many night homeless living in cars sleeping in places that were not “my home” but I still think just like myself homelessness is a choice. There are plenty of ways to not be homeless. And if I ever had to do it again I would do it different. First of all I would go south by any means I had and at least be homeless in a warm place.
@Viperkiss You're the fool for even thinking I'm remotely serious, in fact, you passed judgement before looking at my entire profile and realising it's a complete joke, just like a 32 year old looking for a place to belong online, how sad.

If I may ask how did you and your mom end up in poverty?

"I am a 22 year old homeless man " How'd you type this, huh? On your cardboard box? What a poser.
Wow pass judgement before even reading. That makes you a special kind of fool.
They go to public libraries.

Yup, special kind of fool...
This is a great take
I used to be homeless from the age of 17 to 21.
What happened to get out?
I got into a homeless shelter, got a part time job, went to college and now I have my own place.
Great post!
