Today is International Women's Day. I don't agree with exclusive holidays since it segments a population instead of bringing it together. Inclusive holidays where everyone celebrates allows for everyone to participate. Holidays that allow for individuals to not participate or feel excluded only serves to isolate the celebration to those involved.
All other demographics go uncelebrated, leaving those outside looking in feeling left out. Inclusive celebration is better than having non participants who don't feel welcome or even shunned.
Already the response from some men goes like "Men have the rest of the year". Many of us don't want our own day for our own gender. We already have too many sausagefests in our lives already, please don't give us another. We realize there are consequences to giving preferential treatment due to skin color or creed or gender, often having been already subjugated to those types of abuse. Plus who wants to look like this guy: 
That's right, nobody. That's how women are coming across to men, as the guy above however they have their day so it's as if the guy above is now cramming his opinion down your throat by putting his opinion everywhere.
