Not only is this hamburglar of president pissing off every conceivable ally. US allies now have to tell him to start governing for his people. Can the US be annexed by Canada? Just saying.

In reasonable fairness to both the US and Canada, we share a strong history in helping each other since colonial times, gaining political independence from our european predecessors. As a result we have one of the most peaceful international borders in the world. Because of this, I find it reasonable that at some point within the next century that Canada and the US may decide to dissolve the border in favor of a North American Nation. How the politics would play out would be the the difficult part, because there are laws that they have and we don't, and we have laws that they don't. At the most broad level, though, federal-to-federal integration would be a living nightmare. Should we follow the Canadian example of having prime minister, or try something innovative? One idea is to involve both systems by having presidents governing a limited number of states, and report to an elected prime minister.

Mr. Trudeau has no right to lecture the President of the United States about ANYTHING when his country doesn't meet its obligations under NATO to spend at least 2% of its GDP on the common defense. The same thing goes for France and Germany. Mr. Trudeau is perfectly content, as is Mr. Macron and Ms. Merkel, to have the taxpayers of the United States continue to pay for a disproportionate amount of their nations' defense. Their countries have ridden that gravy train for a long time, and now they're agitated because America has a president who has said "enough."

I’m giving you an upvote because it is certainly fair to say that we’ll off counties like France, Canada and Germany should be chipping in 2%, or if they don’t like to budget speaking up about it and why they aren’t paying.

That said we need to give some time for them to get there. Time for those countries being maybe just 3 years.

But the picture above speak 1,000 words. Do you know how far the US has to go to have Germany, France and Canada turning the table on the US?

In a conversation with Trudeau, trump accused Canada of burning down the original Whitehouse. Wrong country. We don’t antagonize Canada and call them a security threat.

I’ve done my best to engage you while asking you to qualify what area of the law you specialize in since you indicate that you are an attorney.

That gives you little qualification on international affairs but may seem to many as if it does. It doesn’t. These pictures are from two separate meetings with different people and Trump isn’t in the second nor are the very important leaders in the first.

The G7 summit started with Trump throwing a fit to let Russia back in, insisting it should again be the G8. Russia was kicked out for invading neighboring countries with force. But also poisoning of an exdouble agent on British soil cause the expelltion of Russian diplomats across Western powers.

It ended with world powers saying maybe it should now be the G6 excluding the US. Trump attacked Canada and Merkel has to step in to try and calm him down.

This cannot be undone. Merkel is reluctantly preparing for US Troops to leave Germany, Korea, Japan and abandon all relationships. Because this is what we are doing.

The American Dream has been dying a slow death but this is the nail in the coffin. We told all our allies to go fuck themselves and waged a tariff war against them.

Its his people who can't even own a firearm or say things that are offensive, therefore practicing a natural right.

This take is a bit tongue in check but also to acknowledge the happenings of the G7 summit resulting in allies contemplating a G6 excluding the US.

For some unprecedented or supported reason POTUS went after Canada hard and it isn’t okay. Canada has done nothing wrong, they are simply an easy target.

But Europe isn’t taking it and shouldn’t.

in my opinion the US needs centralised government not parting of states. I deal with different state regulations often and it’s a pain.

Our soft power is gone. The world views us as a lumbering, childish giant, throwing tantrums and incapable of doing the right thing. And half the country falls prey to a new conspiracy theory every week that makes them think the other half of the country along with the rest of the world is out to get them. I say, let that half sink or swim.

We'll see if the agitators still have time for all this imaginative thinking and manufactured outrage when they have real problems and when they can't mooch off the states that actually invest in their populace so they can support them.

There is nothing holy about America, we'll fall apart eventually. Best to do it amicably, if we still can.

No my friend. The border is effectively closed for any migrants entering through the south seeking Asylum. They are being tried as criminals in violation of international humanitarian law. People crossing with kids are having their kids ripped out of their arms and placed in foster care/ CPS.

Canada is free to say no more Americans at any time.

I was being tongue in cheek, about the border, referencing a popular series based on a dystopian future in which the US ceases to exist and becomes a police state.

But to be fair, when I was a teenager I made the decision to hold dual citizenship. The US doesn’t recognize it but at least I have another country to go home to Incase the US turns into a problem.

Everyone should try to earn dual citizenship. You can buy it in some Eastern European countries. Switzerland has requirements varying by Canton.
