The issue most people have are the family separations, not the actual family detention centers. They were whole families under Obama, not solely for kids. Family separation was a rare thing under Obama. He also instituted DACA at the same time to protect the kids who were here illegally and who had no choice. And the point of the detention centers was actually to make sure the families were coming in the right way. Trying to come to America from Mexico is extremely dangerous.
