  If he was, he would not have been killed by the Pharisees. They killed him because he wouldn't do their bidding or stop telling them that their conformist system was on it way out. They were the conformists, not he.

  He said that to follow Him, you had to get rid of your material possessions (give them all to the poor). That really irked someone.
  He ate with NON-JEWS.
  He said that you can't be good AND serve money.
  He said that the big-time donors to the Temple were giving LESS than was a poor widow who gave a single tiny coin.
  He said that the well-dressed, properly-behaved pharisee was LESS virtuous than the sinner who sat in the back.
