So as Im shivering in my room, I am reading a few mundane articles. And this one I came upon.
They touch on certain things which makes us "happy"
You buy something, and you think that makes you happy.
You hook up with people, and think that makes you happy.
You get a well-paying job you don’t like, and think that makes you happy.
You go on holiday, and you think that makes you happy.
That’s why we collectively buy shit we don’t need, go to bed with people we don’t love, and try to work hard to get approval of people we don’t like.
Does this make you happy? Maybe for a fleeting moment. Not fully. You may even see a suit or an electronic device, but are you honestly happy? What happens if your not happy to begin with. Then what? all the money is gone to waste.
The article then goes to show how to be useful:
1)Help your boss with something that’s not your responsibility.
2)Take your mother to a spa.
3)Create a collage with pictures (not a digital one) for your spouse.
4)Write an article about the stuff you learned in life.
5) Help the pregnant lady who also has a 2-year old with her stroller.
6) Call your friend and ask if you can help with something.
7) Build a standing desk.
8) Start a business and hire an employee and treat them well.
What I find with the following:
1 - would seem as if your kissing ass. May work...
2 - what if your mother does like that stuff? or enjoy that stuff
3 - they may think you fucked up somewhere and being nice.
4 - Something like on here (GaG :) )
5 - Thats more of common sense and etiquette I think personally
6 - Can work
7 - Veridesk :)
