What is small to large?

Small to large is a new MyTake concept where you explain logical concepts from a small to large scale. Since large concepts are often far away from home and can be difficult to understand if everyone keeps telling you different, these takes are designed to help you understand an issue in the most logical simple way i can possibly make it. To many people these takes will be beyond obvious, but for some it will hopefully be eye opening.

Nationalism, Sovereignty and Borders

These days there is quite a bit of controversy around the idea of Nationalism and Borders, the politicians, certain companies and especially news outlets constantly try to impose opinions about borders, letting people in and if we should or should not have borders. So lets dig in what it is really about.

The Small: Your house

#SmallToLarge: Nationalism, Sovereignty and Borders

When we look at the small scale we can conclude a few things:

* A house has walls and windows protecting you from the outside.

* The house has a door that can let people in and out.

* The family has keys to lock, unlock and open the doors at there will.

* The family decides who gets in and who stays out.

* The walls and doors protect the people and items inside the house from outsiders.

* The garden typically has a way of telling what is and what isn't private property.

* The family dictates the rules inside the house for those that wish to life there, they typically do this together but that does not mean everyone can get what they want.

On the small scale this will probably be a very familiar picture, i assume most if not all of you life inside a house of some sort which is equipped to protect you and where you alone can decide who gets in and who does not get in. You can choose to let people stay over if they ask, you can chose to reject them and leave them outside. Perhaps people just visit, and perhaps people simply stop by to drop things off. In anyway the visitors have to conform to the house rules, for example in some families smoking inside is forbidden, or they want no dogs in there home.

Now what if, the media would tell you to sell your door? To let anyone in that wants to come into your house? Or that the people in the government decide what your house rules are going to be since they want to have one unified rule for everyone where everyone can enter every house and
feel welcomed". It would make the house look more like this :

House without doors, the globalist version of a home
House without doors, the globalist version of a home

Would you accept this and sell your door just because they tell you its the morally right thing to do? Or would you rather leave the house your own, protect your space and life as you life now?

The Medium: The Office Complex

Door separating the company from the general hall of the building
Door separating the company from the general hall of the building

The office is where things get more interesting, the idea that an office building is actually a micro nation is what let me to write this concept of a series as you can often find the same elements in both a country and a larger company.

So lets make the summary :

* The part the company hires often has a wall separating there section from the other sections of the office complex.

* The company has there own door that can let people in and out.

* The company has a security system / keys to lock, unlock and open the doors at there will.
This is usually limited to people with the right access tokens to make the decision or access a certain subset of departments. Interestingly enough there can be departments with there own sealed off sections to prevent even co-workers from getting into dangerous or protected area's.

* The company (leaders) decides who gets in and who stays out.

* The walls and doors (and in this case often an expensive security system) protect the people and items inside the building from outsiders.

* The outside typically has a sign informing you that your about to enter the space of this company rather then anything publicly accessible in the building.

* The company leaders and in some case workers dictate the rules inside the company for those that work or visit.

In this case the same elements are present in a slightly different variation and a different scale. But the parallel is quite clear. Not everyone is supposed to walk into every department as otherwise valuable information might leak, the walls and especially security system protect the many computers and other expensive items that could otherwise easily be stolen. And of course you have to abide by the agree'd upon rules to be allowed to enter to make sure your not causing damage and your not disturbing the other workers.

The more globalistic no border version also exists, and in this case it has its purpose.

There are companies who offer flexible workspaces for a small fee that anyone can sign up for and use as a space to work.

But as you can see there is a bit of a twist, these are usually empty spaces where you have to bring your own equipment. That means they face much less risk of anyone coming in and taking items. And even in these the space is ultimately surrounded by walls, a security system and a door to once again protect the items that are there.

If you where to truly open up the buildings of a company it would make them a very easy target for theft since at night nobody is there and there are usually valuable secrets or technological items to be found.

The Large: The Nation

#SmallToLarge: Nationalism, Sovereignty and Borders

And we arrived at the large scale, the nation state. The concept of countries with borders where the people inside them defend these borders and make there own rules as opposed to having no borders at all. Lets once again make the list.

* The country always has borders of some sort, it doesn't need to be a physical border but there are borders in place that dictate what belongs to who and which rules apply in a certain territory.

* The country typically has a screening process to make sure you are who you say you are although in some federated cases such as the United States of America and the EU (United States of Europe / European Union) you can travel between the different states (/ countries) without having to re-identify yourself but you still fall under a new state law.

* The country may have border security and otherwise has a police force to arrest those who do harm.

* The country (civilization / leaders) decides who gets in and who stays out.

* The security measures such as walls, border patrol and checkpoints help defend the country from outside threats and help protect there citizens and belongings.

* The outside typically has a sign informing you that your about to enter the country, or in some cases where to enter and where not to enter if you wish to abide by the countries rules.

* The government and in some cases society directly make up the rules you must follow inside the nation.

Yet again the same elements come back serving the same purpose, that means you can draw a parallel between a house, a company and a nation. These things exist at every scale, have existed for thousands of years to originally protect from raiders and invaders and have been so normalized that globalists are capable of convincing people its actually not a natural state and we should just life in one world without borders.

But if you draw the parallel what would that imply? If anyone can come into your country that your allowed to give up the key's for. What does that mean?

It means that just like the house you no longer have your own space you can make the rules over, it means that others can come in and take your belongings and it means the very thing that keeps you safe from outside invaders is no longer there. This is what the globalists want you to advocate for by making nationalism such a taboo and playing on your feelings that some people have it worse in the world. And that is true, some have nice houses and some do not. But that does not mean that you should give up your protection so anyone can take it from you. Just like with the keys of the house and the company it should be up to you to decide who gets in and what the rules are if they do so.

Conclusion

The fact you see these elements at every scale pretty much without exception means there is inherent value of having physical separations and protections. Its in our very nature to want our own space and protection and claim our ground. The animals in nature do a similar thing where they guard there territory.

I hope that you enjoy this MyTake concept, feel free to make your own or recommend another subject to me to apply this to.
