Actually they are entirely a woman's fault, she's the one that agreed to have sex knowing there was a possibility of pregnancy. That's why years ago women waited until marraige before having sex or just remained abstainate. Contraception is 99.9999 percent effective so there's no excuse for unwanted pregnancies.

@mistixs yeah he's not the one that has the baby growing inside him or has to give birth. We women need to take responsibility for ourselves and our bodies and not rely on men to do it for us.

If the law can guarantee equal parental rights for men, then it can guarantee equal responsibility

@mistixs men don't get equal choice on being a parent. Also they are largely discriminate against in child custody cases.

@mistixs no but they should have the option to abort themselves from the child's life personally and finacially if the decides to keep the child. Like the woman they should have the choice of being a parent.

So should women be able to have abortions? And if so, should they need the fathers' permission?

I think the idea is. If the girl wants the kid to happen and the guy doesn't. It's her choice and his opinion doesn't matter.

So the flip where the girl wants to abort works the same. Girls get the choice so they get all the benefit of choice once the conception has occurred and those benefits come with consequences.

    That's stupid.

It's your mistake if you are having sex with someone you don't love. So don't complain about that.
You sleep with random people that's your fault. Don't kill.

If you're having sex with your love , then forget that you didn't want to get pregnant "now"
    What's happened has happened.
    Now, don't kill it.

You're stupid defending people who make dumb decisions, making an excuse that they were blindly horny.
      That's stupid.

Man, if she was sooo horny, then why didn't she get herself a boyfriend?

That's not a single mistake. She made two mistakes

      1) it was hookup not an act of love and it's a shame you try to defend it. Excuses excuses and excuses.

      2) she made a dumb decision and still went through it.

Of course, it's both men and women's fault.

And people are not perfect. But they ought to be perfect.

If "sex" is important for you, it doesn't mean you'll take it for granted. You have to means you have to take it seriously.

See ex is important and that's why we don't do it with random people who're not trustworthy.

You said exactly what I wanted to say. Yes men have a huge part in this but it's still "her body her choice" the men who were a reason for this are no better, if I could bring a law that executes both I would apply it on both. But whatever the reason is, whoever fault it is, you can't kill a baby that is older than 6 months. That's why it was better when sex before marriage was illegal. We didn't have to pay for murders.

If you're having sex there is chance of getting pregnant. You know the risks and still you go ahead doin it and if end up getting pregnant then you have to accept the consequences.

It's nobodies fault but you have to own up to it. Guys get a get out of jail free card because biology. You could say it is unfair but life isn't fair.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that. To the extent that there is any focus from pro-lifers on women rather than men it's because ONLY the woman can make the decision to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. Even though conception was 50% woman, 50% man, the decision to abort is 100% woman, 0% man.

Sadly it takes 2 to tango. If you want to have sex it costs the woman the most. Should be well prepared to stop any babies. The guy is just interested in sex and gets stressed out to wear a condom no mind actually carrying one with him. So I'm sorry for putting this a on the lady but he will not bother. Soon as you get pregnant it's get rid or he does a runner. Sorry ladies !!!

Well don't have sex with a guy with no condom?

Those kind of guys don't care, should be enough of a red flag there. Yeah you're horny or drunk but that's not an excuse.

Most guys are horny 24/7 but we can't get sex the second we want it.

Plus there are a lot of girls who can control their urges and even are waiting till marriage.

That type of guy isn't going to care if you get pregnant or not... Anyone with the slightest amount of responsibility will have protection or at least go buy some from the gas station around the corner of the street.

So hypothetically, if you were fooling around with a man... Things were getting "hot".

And he tells you, "Hey, I don't have a condom, I'll just pull out"

Would you be okay with that? Or would you say, well maybe we should go buy some/wait till next time/do oral? etc...

Not saying it's fully the womens fault, but you have to take some responsibility at some point. A guy like that obviously doesn't care about pregnancies or STDs and that should be raising a HUGE RED FLAG.

      If we flip the situation:

If a girl I didn't really know so well wanted to have sex...

And she says she's on birth control, knows her cycle etc.

And I get her pregnant, in that cause I would say "Oh she lied to me and it's 100% her fault"... No obviously that's not true...

And I guess even if she was on birth control, I would wear protection just for the STDs and if she isn't okay with me doing so, then she is not a girl I want to sleep with... I don't take STDs lightly, you never know who has what.

Abortion is not an alternative to contraception, stop being so apologetic for bad decisions. Abortion has its purposes but being a back up for lack of contraception is not one of them.

If you don't wear a condom, you're making that bad decision too. My point isn't about abortion being the alternative, jack-fuck. It's about owning the fact that it isn't JUST the woman's fault and it isn't as easy as take a magical free pill (news flash, many of em' aren't free) and no one gets hurt.

Wear a condom or don't fuck. Then there will be no unwanted pregnancies OR abortions. <3

I wouldn't want to have sex with a woman that I couldn't see as the mother of my children anyway.

Also, most pregnancies are unwanted, just accept that fact. Sex is supposed to be a mechanism for reproduction, many people may do it for other purposes but that doesn't take away humans have in-built instincts that are going to make them want to reproduce whether you like it not.

Abortion has its purposes but being a back up for lack of contraception is not one of them. You are either responsible with your reproductive organs, or you dont have sex. Its not that difficult. End of discussion.

Except no pro lifer does that. Did you even think that through? The argument is that its life and therefore killing it is murder by definition. That's the argument made. The other arguments made are that the child wouldn't even exist (in 99% of cases (statistically speaking less then 1% of abortions are due to incest, rape, and risk to mother combined)), if the woman simply used protection ergo the fact that the child exists at all is entirely the man and womans fault and they should have to accept responsibility for their actions because they are adults and that's what we expect from adults, to be responsible and take responsibility for the consequences of their actions. The third argument that is frequently given is that abortion exists solely to get a woman out of taking responsibility for her actions which can be shown by the simple fact that she can abort a child without the fathers consent but if she wishes to keep it she can extort money from him for that child, again, without his consent so the argument that its about self autonomy is factually incorrect, or at least only applies to the woman not the fetus nor the man involved, and even then ignores that the child exists purely because of her choices (as she can demand the man use protection, use a contraceptive herself, or decide not to have sex at all just as he can do these things). Meanwhile the only arguments for abortion are rape, which again is almost never the cause of abortions, women's choice, which again ignores that she is in that situation because of her choices to begin with (and then turns around and treats women like children because you argue she can't be held accountable for her actions), its a "clump of cells" which is vague as all living things are a clump of cells and is a misleading statement as the fetus is quite visible and has distinctive apendages and a head. The fact is their is no logical argument for abortion beyond wanting to avoid responsibility (with the exception of rape).

If the father wanted the child and she wanted an abortion, nd if the father agreed to pay her expenses through the pregnancy and not ask for any child support I don't see why the girl wouldn't agree to that. And just think, sometime in the future if she changed her mind and wanted to know her child it would still be around for that to happen. There are women who have given their child up for adoption and years later they find them, or are found by their child, and when they meet for the first time they both cry like babiesand hug each other like Care Bears.

Pro life’s are typical sleeve wearing Christians. Have to shame in order to show how Christian they are. Completely opposite of what Christ was about. Those who wear Christ on their sleeve are Insincere and more more like fake Christians. .
