All this guy does is lie. His base doesn't like him because they think he's honest, they like him because they have fascist cravings and want a strong-man dictator. Most won't say it, but they want their own Franco, Pinochet, Duterte, Erdogan, Putin, Bolsonaro, etc. These are people who don't want liberal democracy, they want reactionary authoritarianism.
