HAHA. Typical triggered snow flake take. In the real world no one gives two fucks who you are or how you feel. Oh I'm sorry did I offend you? Maybe I should call you "IT" instead of He or She.
great post - excellent and timely reminders with the election stuff :)
May be sometime it depends on perspective but if anyone say a good thing in a harsh way than it does not relevant to anyone. So everyone must be careful about their newly born brain. It can handle any situation if anyone want to be.
I always choose my words wisely. You may never get a chance to reword or explain yourself
it is IMPOSSIBLE to make sure you NEVER offend anyone so my motto is. Don't offend anyone you care about and fuck everyone else.
The author of stcks and stones is the person known as, ' go away and leave me alone'
Think first, before you say /. type something ;)
Keep on thinking about it.
Words are indeed a very powerful strength or weapon.
I remember my younger days, after my studies when I changed myself fully. Diets, fitness and re-think the way I talked. I found out best is, starting the conversation but then let the other one talk a bit but listen carefully before taking over and leading the conversation in a way that I reached my coal. Playing this little trick made me get a better paid job and also taking home girls when I went out eventhough I've never been the most attractive one. And still nowadays I use this and are good in making friends. In fights, I only have used this ability and knowledge about my counterpart to win a fight - a sword formed by words he wasn't able to defend. But usually, I am a positive person using communication beneficiary.
That's good
Thanks, dear!
Thank you! 🙂
My pleasure! 🙏
You don't have the right not to be offended. And words like emotional or verbal ’abuse’ are, in general, is applied for cynical reasons.
Words only have effect if we allow them to have effect.
Censorship is far more dangerous than hurt feelings.
I call it wisely speaking manners, not censoring myself. I can say asshole to people who I think they deserve it but I'm careful and kind to my girlfriend as she doesn't like "friendly bullying", she loves harmony in her relationship.
I agree with you 100%
I try not to rage in my words.
That's good 🙂
Sometimes I don’t and I regret it.
Yeah sometimes we all do and then we learn or remember.
I generally feel like people hurt by words are major pussies.
One way true, if I'm called being an "asswipe", I hit the ignore/block button on social networks. In real life, they can kiss my ass.
Exactly... but it's the 'performative outrage' expressed online when it's so easy to just block or ignore it, that stuns me by the sheer 'weakness' of some people's minds emotionally.
And it's just as easy to act like an adult online. Make it a good experience for everyone. Your words don't hurt me. But they may hurt someone. Kids are online everyday. Set the example.
Was that a virtue signal? I hope not, but my paranoia of it exposes another side to those that claim outrage at anything they deem as "oppressive." Those that pander to weakness as the virtuous savior that's here to help... for virtue points instead of oppressed points.
For instance a comment like, "fuck the kids that come here, lie about their age to be here, and then whine when nobody agrees with their [fill in the blank stance here]!" Could attract 1) the poor oppressed triggered snowflake, or 2) their virtuous savior (which usually resemble a meddlesome self righteous individual).
I mean an opinion can be argued against, but offense taken to an opinion just isn't the opinion owners problem... it's a problem to those 'offended' by it.
The hell no if I've got something to say I'll say it
many people aren't careful with it. bad words come out of selfish and cruel people in general
No. and words are just words.
If what i say hurts your feelings its your problem not mine.
Depends on what someone says to me.
So you prefer people to you instead?
lie to you* instead?
How did I say that? You can tell the truth. I do all the time
Saying "I don't want people to label you as trashy because of your outfit." instead of "You look trashy in that outfit." isn't saying the truth at all.
It's refusing to accept responsibility for your opinion, you are straight up advocating being disingenuous in order to avoid conflict with someone, for your OWN sake.
First I don't wear trashy outfits lol second those were just examples.
Point is some people use words to name call verbally abuse people and that is wrong.
Its true word are of great importance.
Good take
Once again 🙂 thank you ♥️
You're welcome
