
Something I realized is, that there is more acceptance in these "blue" states, there are even laws regarding LBGT communities.
There are some here too of course but they're less known, and as a FTM I actually get harrassed at public places and even work for my identity.
I believe just as religion you can show it off, yes, but you can't sit there and judge people for that what they do, and you shouldn't shove it down someone's throat.
There however should be something more along the lines of gender neutral bathrooms, and at least more basis on equality in areas of customer service and workplace decency,
(due to the fact that there is more sexual harassment happening to the transgender community at work)
These ideas don't have to be totally forced, and they don't have to be shoved down people's throats, but it would be more respectful for people to take notice of these things so that way no one gets judged feeling or harassed.
Just sayin, sorta venting...
