Why do people lack compassion when it comes to transgender topics?

Whenever I come across a question on GAG relating to trans people, there’s always someone who calls them delusional, insane or puts a political spin on the topic. And yes there are those who claim to be transgender but are really identifying as non-binary or whatever and have no desire to medically transition, which suggests that they’re comfortable in their body, and therefore don’t fit the description of someone who actually has gender dysphoria. When I say trans I’m talking about those who want to have the body of the sex they weren’t born as, which is something one is born with just like how gays are born gay too. I have theories about why there appears to be more people identifying as LGBT than ever before but I’ll leave that for another MyTake (also I don’t want to piss anyone off or turn anyone’s focus away from the main topic).

The point is that gender dysphoria seems to be more of a biological thing, like for example, some MRI scans have reveal that male to female transgender people have brains that are more similar to biological women’s brains than the brain of a cis man.

So why are some people so harsh towards trans girls and guys? I understand why some get annoyed when they hear about trans sexual predators, parents who raise their kids as trans or trans kick-boxers who nearly kill their cis women opponents but those people don’t represent the vast majority of trans men and women who just want to live their lives however they wish without bothering anyone else, just like gays and lesbians.

And as for the delusional or insanity argument. You wouldn’t call autistic people anything like that so why is it any different for transgender people.

And finally, to those on the right or those who identify as classic liberals or libertarians or anyone else like myself who’s not on the far left or just dislikes wokeness, we’re not going to convince any LGBT people that radical left wing ideas aren’t going to help them if we keep dismissing them as nutters.

My only issues with that community follow..

1. Forcing young children to transition and trust me on this, it happens.

2. Expecting the world to adapt to them, Change how they speak, how they interact, because of their situation, and calling someone transphobic if they disagree.

3. Expecting straight men to want them, as if straight men owe them something. And calling them transphobic whwn they indicate they only want a biological woman.

4. Drag queen reading hour... Need I say more?

Beyond that, if they aren't harming anyone, they just don't hit my radar.

As to the forcing kids to transition bit. There is a kid in Texas, he is only 10.. His mother is forcing him to take puberty blockers, and female hormones because his mom feels like he should be a girl. His dad fought against it and lost. When he is around his dad he is a normal little boy.. Around mom it's a different story.. He has been told he will go to prison if he continues trying to block the transitioning ot the little boy. I am sorry children should not be transitioned, it should wait until they are adults and can make an informed decision.. It's not something an idiot mother should decide for him. It sickens me. There is a special place in hell for people like that..

Sounds like a conservative problem because I don't have any problems with transgender people, I mean when it comes to a sports event I think trans women might have a slight advantage against biological women while trans men have a slight disadvantage against biological men but besides sports I honestly have zero issues against trans people I am actually happy people is starting to feel comfortable with who they really are.

That’s fine but I was talking more about the condition itself, like how would you deal with your child if they had gender dysphoria? Like you wouldn’t just dismiss them as being delusional.

Gender dysphoria is definitely a thing. "The DSM-5 estimates that about 0.005% to 0.014% of people assigned male at birth and 0.002% to 0.003% of people assigned female at birth are diagnosable with gender dysphoria. According to Black's Medical Dictionary, gender dysphoria “occurs in one in 30,000 male births and one in 100,000 female births."

But that doesn't account for the sudden epidemic in people who believe they are "transgender". There are kids who never showed any sign of gender dysphoria but suddenly in around middle school or the onset of puberty, claim that they are "trans". That would indicate that social pressure is being exerted to put thoughts in their heads. School curriculum is confusing kids. And it is now virtually illegal to question a kid's sudden confusion or to have them seek counseling to find out if they truly suffer from gender dysphoria or if there is something else going on.

I think kids are being socially engineered for the purpose of undermining society and limiting sexual reproduction. Transitioning drugs and medical procedures are also extremely profitable. It's a growth industry. So the pharma, medical and psychiatric industries are putting money into pushing the agenda.

People are also pissed off about insane laws that require women's only facilities and women's sporting competitions to allow the admittance of men who claim to be women.

Here's the thing, I am friends with two people who genuinely suffer from gender dysphoria and underwent full transition in adulthood. One is a man and one is a woman. They are really good people who just want to live their lives. They aren't trying to call attention to themselves. They are not pushing any agenda.

But I fucking hate the militant LGBTQ agenda. I supported it when it was about tolerance, understanding, acceptance, gay marriage, and stuff like that. But I strongly oppose this tranny shit that's going on. It's damaging young people, making women unsafe, destroying the progress that women have made in gaining equality, especially in regards to Title IX, and I believe the overall goal is to undermine society. I suspect that it's part of the globalist agenda, which means that people with unimaginable wealth and power are behind it.

Because of this, I am hostile to the idea of preferred pronouns and non gender specific pronouns. I do not accept the existence of more than two genders. And whenever I encounter that shit, I grimace and walk away as if the person doesn't exist. It's not my responsibility to humor their delusions. I will resist the agenda.

They don't lack compassion. They're just not willing to bend over backwards and change their entire vocabulary and understanding of objective biology and science to appease 1% or less of the population, who for the lack of a better term, are a bit crazy.

And as @And as @catlover1999worldscolide said, many trans people are just entitled, immature little sh*ts who expect the entire world to revolve around them. That's not how the world works and you can't force acceptance onto people by throwing temper tantrums and buzzwords like "transphobe" around whenever you don't get your way. Nor is it right for biological men to compete against women in professional sports, just because your "feelings" tell you you're not the sex you objectively and biologically are. It's the same way my 181 cm short ass can't just tell people I'm 6'5"/195 cm and "identify" as tall.

Acceptance comes in small doses, one small step at a time. It doesn't come by f*cking up society just to kiss your hairy asses and calling people "transphobes" whenever you don't get to metaphorically cut to the front of the line in life. Transpeople like this cause normal people to just hate them and deny any forms of acceptance to them, overall. All the Jessica Yanivs, Caitlin Jenners, and Tiffany "It's Ma'am!" Moores of the world.

I'm a classical liberal and hate wokeness, so I couldn't give a flaying f*ck what the Alphabet Community thinks (not gay and transpeople, but "the Alphabet Community"). My thoughts on this have ALWAYS been the same:

"You can live however you want. You DON'T get to make others live however you want."

Too many transpeople have crossed this line in modern society, even if they're the "fringe" SJW crowd. The trans community is too small for us to even be able to tell who is not-that-insane and who is a full SJW. But I do know of that one conservative transperson on here, and you OP, so that's at least two transpeople I've met who aren't insane, childish, or narcissitic.

Because it is being romanticized as there are no rules as to who actually has gender dysphoria so people can just say that they are the opposite gender with no proof and then boom you are instantly the opposite gender and people then must respect you for that.

Celebrities like "Elliot" Page seem to do this to virtue signaling and many parents instantly try to ruin their child's body by interpreting them experimenting with the toys typically enjoyed by the opposite sex as them being trans.

If I had been diagnosed with gender dysphoria, I wouldn't find this flattering. In fact, I would find it disgusting that people would use my condition as a crass attempt to gain favor with the woke cult. Much like how people who are bothered by a slightly tilted picture claim to be OCD or how being constantly distracted by their phone when they should be studying means that they have ADHD.

The biggest issue for me is the fact that they feel the need to push these ideas onto young, impressionable children.

I have my opinions on transgenderism, and gay people. I don’t hate them, but my opinions would probably offend them.

At the same time as a child I was taught not to be a bully. I was taught not to disrespect people who are different for whatever reason.

I still don’t, unless you’re an asshole towards me in some way I’ll treat you with respect or should I say common courtesy.

Transgenders give transgenders a bad name because a lot of them are very vicious towards anyone that disagrees with their point of view.
