I'm a proponent of Anti-Natalism! I don't care if MGTOW is or isn't fully supportive of Anti-natalism or whether they are proponents of Anti-Natalism. All I know is that if they don't approach then they will more than likely never marry and never have or create children of their own. And if that's the case MGTOW are Unintended Anti-Natalists or something.
Substantially less births meant substantially less unwanted suffering, pain, miseries and disappointments that someone must endure and face once they are brought into existence into this miserable unfair world and reality. I think that if they ever impose such a tax unfairly, then more men are going to sterilize and undergoing sterilization procedures such as vasectomies instead instead of having create more offspring which they may or may not be able to actually support for the long term. Please note that sterilization is not the same as abortion or suicide.
Besides nothing really is stable any more, you have technology such as fully automated machines in place of human workers to thank for taking away jobs and employers that want to save money and maximize profits by off-shoring and outsourcing jobs to other countries and then lay-off and downsize entire departments of workers who need their jobs to provide for their families.

that statistic about japanese men is really misleading. a huge reason so many japanese men are single is because the arranged marriage tradition ended so many japanese men find it hard to approach women. OR the men are opting for bachelor life because they can have the fun of casual relationships. No, I don't think that they will impose a bachelor tax, per se', instead they will keep ramping up services for women and children. I just read an article about how Amazon is offering a 30 hour work week that they call a "flex schedule" and how only women are taking these kinds of offers. So they proposed to make this mandatory rather then limit women's advancement opportunities because they choose to take this option. Obviously this is a program designed to help women, while limiting men. I think we'll see more of this, forcing men to conform to a workplace that is friendly to women, at their own expense.
We're a long way from that happening here but who's to say it won't? I personally think that a man shouldn't be forced to marry or mate if they don't want to & either should woman but the government is goign to do whatever it feels it can to try to get the population up and the economy stable which will start to fall apart with a dwindling and ageing population. Survival of the fittest. Many of these people will be letting their genes and linegage die out. Evolution. The people who want to find a way to continue the population will find away just everythign will go to crap first and populations will fall while the weaker genes die out then try to rebuild with the genes which show to be stronger by surviving.

Also when the Bachelor Tax is rolled out usually the No Child tax is as well and slapped on woman. They may even have to pay more taxes for not having enough children to fill quota.
As I said I think we are a long way out from all this though and hopefully it doesn't happen. If everyone's populations go down it may help and not effect us as much. Less is more anyway... the planet only has so much resources.

You know Japanese guys want to have a girlfriend but don't know how to have one because they are too shy... I have a Japanese friends and he explain me somethings about his country that they want to have a girlfriend but prefer put their study and career first for making their parents proud of them and be a sucsefull son. Plus you have to know that Japanese women loves money very much and you can't have a Japanese girlfriend if your poor or can't paid for every date. So you can compare Japan and America or anything
Japan is not heavily feminist. Herbivore men are a cultural thing. Because Japan is highly competitive, you have to be successful, or else you are shamefur dispray prease and are best hidden away where nobody can see you. Women are not interested in guys who have a full time steady job, something that can be difficult to find in Japan.

a bachelor tax is intended to either encourage partnering up OR at least create a stream of revenue for the state to attempt to offset the loss of lack of tax income from working people (due to the lower population)

@madhatters4 I'm not an expert on Japan's issues but my guess is they overspend (I think they have 3-4 times the debt the US has per person which last time I checked is about 120,000 per person lmao) and because they have like 2. something workers per retirees, funding their retirement is a pretty much unsustainable problem (which is where most of the population complaints come from). Overall their 130 million people seems like quite a bit of people to me in a place smaller than California lol (39 million). But I know people want support for retirement and economic growth (more labor).
They're pretty desperate over there I guess. I know they have negative interest rates (encouraging to spend instead of part interest saving). They basically want more revenue. Their lack of people with five times the density of California lol.
in short they have not said whether or not a tax would apply only to men. they haven't even seriously discussed a tax. this has all been mere speculation based on an idea thrown about in 2012 by a economic analyst (a man btw) Morinaga Takuro who proposed taxing "handsome/desirable" men. there hasn't been any legislation or even talk from politicians about instituting such a tax. the reality 1 in 4 japanese people are over 65. crazy right? 25% of of the current population will be gone in the next 20-35 years. there is fear that by 2050 they will lose more than a 1/3 of their population. about 30-40% of young men say they have no interest in marriage. about 15-20% among women... that's the truth.
@madhatters4 I guess the big issue would be less tax payers compared to retirees just like with here. I guess a lower gdp too due to less people. If supporting retirees wasn't a factor, the other expenses would scale with any population equally. Less people could actually be environmentally good and would probably lower housing costs and cost of living overall. Imagine competition of land with 250,000,000 people with a place smaller than California.
I think they're mostly concerned with funding those retirees to the point where they may penalize a person for choosing to be single. I can see a potential for an asexual rights movement lol.
