Does gynocentrism harm men?

For anyone not knowing what gynocentrism means: Gynocentrism refers to a dominant or exclusive focus on women in theory or practice; or to the advocacy of this. Anything can be considered gynocentric when it is concerned exclusively with a female (or specifically a feminist) point of view.

it's just, that i am in some places. These places can be okay or be gynocentric.
And i think gynocentrism just leaves the men out. I am just glad, that i live in a place where both men and women are mostly equal. I study in an organization, which doesn't favor any sex over the other and i work in a cool little company valuing it's employees regardless of gender *wipes sweat off from forehead*. I am happy about that because I used to be in a gynocentric place and that did not feel adequate.

I honestly think it'd be as bad as an androcentric (i'm guessing with that word but i'm sure that's what it's spelled) society. Boys and girls and everyone in between deserve to focus on themselves, not prepare themselves to focus on others.

Then why are men not allowed to join YWCA but women can join YMCA? Why do feminists want girls to be allowed to join the boy scouts but boys are not allowed to join the girl scouts?

Something about safe spaces I guess, but I don't like feminists who think only girls (usually only girls who were born female) deserve a safe space. I do know that for some victims of assault or abuse, seeing someone the same gender as their abuser can upset them but that erases male victims. Radfems are gynocentric and usually aren't interesectional with feminism. I'm more of an egalitarian feminist, especially because I think boys deserve to join "girl" things as much as girls deserve to join boyish things.

Yes, mostly. Although some gynocentrism is good and is instinctual. For example the desire not to hit women is gynocentric. However that desire stopped men from beating and possibly killing/rendering infertile, the women who they have to reproduce with. But overall yes, gynocentrism is bad.
