Playing devil's advocate, strip clubs reinforce the idea of women being sex objects and being tradeable commodities. You pay, you see tits and ass. Okay, some guys might argue that they talk to the girls and get to know them but let's be perfectly honest, they only want your money and you wouldn't be there if they didn't get naked. Strip clubs don't tend to offer completion, they offer arousal and then they put you out on the street at stupid o'clock, drunk and horny. Most guys will go on home. The odd few will harass girls on the street, having now got the raging horn after objectifying women for however long.
These are just logical arguments against strip clubs, they are not my arguments as such. There aren't too many situations where men are objectified as the result of a financial exchange. Yes, there are male strip clubs and male strip shows but they are absolutely tiny in number compared to their female counterparts.
I agree with you that female strippers can make a shit ton of money and most are not being forced or coerced into their work. The argument is whether that line of work should even be available, because money can tempt many people into doing things that they wouldn't do otherwise.
Whether or not you believe that strip clubs demean women it would be hard to argue that they promote or celebrate women on any level that could be deemed of great value. We don't need strippers to remind us that we like tits and ass, I think we've got that one covered.21 Reply

+1 yif a woman willfully decides to dance and take off her clothes for money exploiting many people's desire to objectify the female body there is nothing demeaning about it
there is an issue that many women are forced or coerced into the job. but that's a different story00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 ySociety has such a big emphasis on whether or not women are objectified that people would say that a strip club would objectify women and therefore demean them but if the question was concerning male strip clubs then I doubt that people would give the same response therefore I'd say that it's not demeaning to women if male strip clubs are not demeaning to men since they are both being objectified but if no one's rights are breached and that their own limitations aren't passed e. g. if they didn't want to do something then they wouldn't have to do it.
If they make that much money off of it then I'm surprised that there aren't more around for both genders.10 Reply

IT's not like strippers are being forced into that career. It's not like it's their choice to forgo pursuing an education. They choose to go down that road for easy money and the fact that they happen to have tits+a vagina is coincidental.
(there is no logic to making such claims. Just like many people online think giving blowjobs is demeaning or humiliating because you're literally on your knees in front of a man. Sounds more like a bad case of mostly women who are power-tripping.)20 Reply
+1 yIt's demeaning, but a lot of jobs are demeaning for less pay. I'd be a stripper if I could conceal my identity like a superhero. I'd be like SuperHoe or something, and the one song I'd never dance to is Mask Off.

Cosplay stripping is a bad idea. There are people out there who are psychotically obsessed with characters a girl may strip as. You don't want someone killing you because he doesn't like the hoe his waifu turned out to be.

it reminds me of when the UN wanted to control Japanese Anime as they found the fan service one's "demeaning to women" well if I recall Kumiko Yamada, representative of the Japanese wing of the Womenβs Institute Of Contemporary Media Culture, basically told the UN to fuck off.
how does this connect? nothing is demeaning to women if women voluntarily participate. some feminist cunt may not like someone 1000 times hotter than them to shake their ass for more money than they would make in a month but that does not make it demeaning23 Reply- +1 y
@Nancy_321 Ik. to top it off a lot of ecchi is written by women for women like Citrus if i recall
I don't feel like they are necessarily demeaning. it depends on why a woman is stripping, the way she is treated at the establishment, and how she feels about it. i love strip clubs because I love women, how could I not I am a woman, I love seeing confident women use something they're proud of to make money. I say a strip club has every chance to be a place where women are celebrated as a place where women are looked at as strictly entertainment and are demeaned by bosses or customers.
30 ReplyThere's nothing wrong with stripping and strip clubs per se, but some women are forced into it, or get abused, or get all their money taken by the person who owns it. Therefore I don't support them, because you never know if the stripper is a stripper because she wants to be.

+1 yAlthough it would of course be improper for a taken man to go to a strip club, I would guess that the reason single women hate that single men go to strip clubs is because they see those establishments as competitors for male attention, much the same way they dislike whores for the same reason.
Saying that it is demeaning to women is just the way to hide this borderline selfishness.00 Reply
+1 yAs in a lot of questions on GaG - I think there is a depends in there - I would look at how it affects the girl - I met one girl who did seem affected by it but I think she had outside issues that contributed to it but I have also talked to others who seemed totally comfortable with it - The true answer probably somewhere in the middle.
00 Replywhen it comes to men, the "high" from sex comes with men feeling it physically i mean, "most" men would be physically attracted to a naked women, but for women it is all mental! they want a guy who is trusted but naughty in bed. so some loyal wives just think these clubs are ruining their husband and their relationships. simple.

Supply and demand. Easy.
Plus society everywhere has this issue where a womans body is considered much more worthy than a mans body.
How it's demeaning to women? They get sexually objectified often for it, leaves them with a bad reputation and they may run into some other risks.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yBecause people like judging women how they love their life. If a grown woman wants to strip for men and women to get paid there's nothing wrong with that. If they enjoy it let them. Maybe they think it's fun, maybe they like the money, maybe they're paying for college.
Hell, if I wasn't clumsy I'd probably become a stripper. 😂31 Reply
+1 yYeah my girl friend got paid $20 just to go dance with a guy and the same night she went up on the stripper pole for fun and a guy slipped a $1 in her boot lol

She's not even a stripper, we were just out having a good time!
Women are sexually objectified. They are reduced to mere objects. They feel vulnerable and abused by men telling them nasty things. Or even harrasing them. Isn't that demeaning enough?
65 Reply3.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. If they're reduced to mere objects many would would consider that demeaning. Other theorists would say that it's the ultimate form of female empowerment.
00 Reply414 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Those chicks are awesome, their confidence and prowess deserve admiration.
30 Reply715 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The term you're looking for is "sex negative feminism" wherein all sex is rape, dressing sexily is self objectifying, but women should still be able to enjoy the benefits of being 'empowered.'
