That statistic about the percentage of black women who were abused before the age of 18 was derived from a sample size of just 300 women. That is a ridiculously small sample and cannot possibly be used to accurately predict a trend across millions of black women. This is a classic example of the abuse of statistics rather than an accurate representation of the abuse of black women.

That cannot be quantified though and it was still only a sample size of 300 people which tells you little to nothing. I have yet to see evidence that black girls are any less likely to report sexual abuse than any other girls and actually men are probably even less likely to report sexual abuse than girls full stop.
That's a huge assumption on your part, that I don't care. Trying to make me out to be a bad person rather than just discussing the issue is a weak tactic. There is no proof that 60% of black girls in any major western democracy are abused before the age of 18, nor is there any clarification of what was used to define abuse, nor is that percentage even vaguely credible. A sample size of 300 women from one single nation is no representation at all.

the problem with sexual assault in our community is partially because people let abusers slide. i see a lot of single mothers who let their new boyfriends be alone with their children too early. poor women will move themselves and their kids in with a man they hardly know. thats a recipe for disaster
also in my opinion there aren't enough men around to be protectors against that thing. i know you think every man is bad, and while some are, if you have good men around they will protect you and your family and their children.

Who are raising these so called "evil black men" is it not the black women themselves? Every successful black comedian talks about the abuse that their mothers put them through, and it's such a common thing in the black American community that people think it's normal. Is it not black women who choose to commit their own crimes that end in them being arrested? Is it not black women who choose to have sex with no good men and wonder why they're in their predicament? Is it not black women who are poor and have no education yet choose to have unprotected sex with violent criminals and introduce generation after generation to a life of poverty and crime. Don't blame black men for shitty black women who produce shitty offspring. It's an endless cycle of retarded people.

No. I think women need to stay in mainstream society to reform it. We have every right to be where we are, and safe where we are. We have a right not to be driven away. Abusers are the ones who don't belong. It's the abusers that need to be removed from society.
But I don't condemn these women, or women who feel they must get away.
I condemn abusers.

Umoja was founded in 1990, 27 years ago- and it only survives today because the boys of the female founders grew up into men, and now handle the village's administration and heavy labor themselves, with the natural patriarchal order of things restored.

Umoja doesn't depend on men and never has. Its been thriving on female leadership and doesn't depend on men for any thing

What do you think happened to all of those single black mothers' sons, dumbass? You got marshmallow for brains? Umoja depends on men for EVERYTHING- without the men, it wouldn't even exist. You think that a pacifist women's only commune would have a chance of surviving, out in the wilderness, less than 100 miles away from Al-Shabab controlled, IS-aligned Somali territory? Without the exclusively male Kenyan army, that place would've gone the same way as Chibok, guaranteed.
Sell to what tourists? Where do they get the raw materials from? Do they dig it up themselves? Of course not- their men dig it up for them. How do the tourists get there? Via the road that the locals originally destroyed, but which their grown-up sons subsequently repaired, rebuilt and still maintain. The average number of children which women in Umoja have currently stands at over 6; there are now roughly 60 adult women, with over 400 children- and 10-15 adult men, sons who were born and raised in Umoja by their mothers. I'd say that it's pretty blatant that the women of Umoja depend on men and their baby batter an awful lot, wouldn't you say?

That domestic abuse figure is so wrong, statistics say the figures are almost equal/ actually show more domestic abuse against men. I think the problem with men being incarcerated is much more important yet no one does anything about it. It's a whole gender which is being treated more harshly and it gets worse if your a man who's from an ethic background. There are problems for everyone lol. It's actually quite equal between men and women in terms of the problems we have, the only difference is that women are getting help with there problems and men aren't.
It is in Papua New Guinea that women really need a separate community. In 1994 in a survey 60% of men admitted to raping a woman. Note that 60% of black girls being abused does not mean that an equal number of men are rapists in that community. Men who rape one woman rape another and another until they get caught.

Those statistics are probably wrong. The sample size used in the study was very small. Another study with almost 2000 women showed the percentage of black women who were treated like that to be about 37%.
