Often these people also have sexuality other than straight, gay and bisexual too.

My opinion: People should be allowed to do what they likes to and it's their freedom. But I finds all these labels confusing and I think it can confuse children and teenagers too who's trying to find their own identity. More than 10 genders makes a lot of confusion.

Yes it has gone to far. First and foremost the fact that we know with absolute certainty that their are only two genders, not once has any scientific research shown that their is any thing more or less then two genders. Two, transgenderism while existing (according to research they found neurological differences in the brains of non transitioned transgendered people that match the gender they identified with) is exceedingly rare making up less then 1% of the population. So forcing this on children who have not yet matured and thus have no real notion of what gender truly means at that point (as they have not hit puberty where most of the changes start occurring) it is going to be incredibly confusing and serves absolutely no purpose. Its like discussing polio in depth with them, they are more then likely never going to meet a person with it and it will have no baring on their life in any way so why waste the time? This is in fact worse as your adding confusion to the issue by implying that gender is fluid when it is not, by trying to force them to function differently then what they are biologically predisposed towards thus increasing their unhappiness. If when they have gone through puberty and they have had significant counciling done to show that they are in fact transgender then fine they and their parents can research it and discuss it and decide what they need to do, but before that point your putting added stress, confusion and problems on a child that doesn't need it and isn't prepared for it. You might as well force a child in kindergarten to decide what their future occupation will be, its simply not something they should be dealing with at that time. In many cases we can safely show that transgenderism, when found in children that young is being forced on them by their parent because again, they don't even know what it means to be a person let alone one gender or the other.

Because I said that a child who can barely speak should not make decisions that will adversely affect their life? Your aware that about 20% of those who transition regret the decision? So again, screwing with a childs life by expecting them to make life altering decisions when we don't even allow them to make decisions on when they should go to bed or what they can and cannot eat is absurd. Again, if after much counciling and seeing a professional it is deemed an appropriate response and the person in question is old enough to make decisions on their life (I personaly would say about 15 to 16 years of age would be about old enough to make those kinds of decisions) then that is fine, but before that point its absurd and again, its a rare condition that does not need to be shoved down every child's throat just because PC culture demands it.

Also, again, I have not once claimed that transgenderism isn't real, in fact I outright stated that their is a clear difference in brain structures, what I stated was having a child make that decisions when we don't trust them to make any other decision is wrong, studies show that most grow out of their "dysphoria" and in many cases the so called "dysphoria" isn't even real, its forced on them by parents. Its horribly damaging to do that to some one (their is a reason why so many serial killers where dressed as girls and treated as girls by their mothers). i feel like in 10 years will look back on this as a bit of a confusing time. personally am tolerant of whatever a person wants to be for the most part. i don't understand a lot of the labels thrown around and i don't have to.

I love the transgender and freedom of expression movement. I wish this would have happened a long time ago. There have been suicides and lifetime pain associated with people not understanding. I feel like this movement happened way to late and should have been much earlier. I am a straight. With a heart for the transsexual and drag communities. I feel I relate with them the best. Yes, all of the labels are confusing so why don't we just call everyone human with different sexual desires and interest. I have family members that are bisexual. The heart wants what it does. No one should be shamed for being normal. Society put people down for to long and called them names, beat them, exorcised and "prayed" for them, outcaste them, and made them monsters or "dirty". Had you understood the infographic, or the transgender community at all, you'd be aware that it isn't about one's chemical makeup and nobody thinks it is. That's why we differentiate between the concepts of "gender" and "biological sex".
Let me drive this point home a little more: biology - the science of chromosomes and chemical makeup and all that stuff folks like yourself enjoy talking about - is the science that defines what a human male and human female are. It is not the science that defines what a man and a woman is - that'd be psychology and sociology. So a biological or genetic based argument on this subject is moot.
It has become the trendy in-thing to be a new gender. I am a "Lolly lickin' loli that likes dick, especially when eating pizza and drinking a glass of gin and tonic!" There! That is a new one!
Of course it has gone too far! What does it matter to anyone else what YOU label YOURSELF as? It is personal and private. Do not like being male or female gender? Tough. You look male or female. The rest is irrelevant to anyone else!

I actually happen to agree with you here. I remember a couple of years back when things were just coming out into the open. Seemed everyone I met was pansexual and genderfluid, and I can tell the difference between real ones and fake ones.
So yes, it's cool to be a pansexual genderfluid person these days.
I just don't understand why people get riled up over this. Somebody wants to call themselves "gender-fluid" because that's how they feel? Good for them. I have no problem with that, it doesn't concern me. I might not understand why "gender fluid" means but that's completely irrelevant because it's none of my business anyway. It's kinda like when conservatives get angry over people being gay. Like, why do you even care? It has nothing to do with you.
I think it's ironic that some right-wingers claim they don't care about gay or transgender people but they spend about 2 hours a day screaming and swearing about them. Personally, I never even think about this issue, unless I come across a question like this on GaG.
Hopefully it will die down in a few years. I certainly don't think it should be taught in school beyond maybe psychology when discussing mental illness.

Though I would, as curtesy to them, call them as whatever pronoun, I personally don't think transgender is a thing or logical.
Like for one, an argument/explanation trans activists give for transness is what I'll call the "wrong brain theory". This is the idea that a normal person with normal male/female or x-y/x-x chromosome pairs, who is not intersex, can have organs of the opposite sex. This claim is scientifically impossible and illogical because in order for one to be born with the "wrong" sex-determined organ, their chromosomes, responsible for sex organ development, would have to not be "normal" or would have to deviate from the norm, as it does in intersex individuals
Secondly, another explanation they give for transness is that without the "wrong brain theory" someone who feels they are a certain sex they were not born as is that sex their gender dysphoria makes them think they are. Now this argument is metaphysical and that's a simple reason why this argument is unscientific/has no rigid measurable or reproducible scientific basis and shouldn't be forced on anyone. No one should be coerced into living according to any particular individual's or group's metaphysical beliefs, such as the trans ideology. But since they force these metaphysical and scientifically unmeasurable beliefs on everyone, they have gone to far, in my opinion

I think that they should teach children that these sort of people do exist, but I do not think that schools should teach that being trans or identifying as another gender is a good thing.
I think anything that people feel is being pushed on them they arenât going to like. This is all so new and just became acceptable. People feel inconvenienced by them because a lot of people think they are asking for special treatment and maybe battling the persons way of thinking. Like the whole bathroom thing. I think people are ok with you using whichever bathroom you want as long as you look like that gender and once you donât it confuses people. I mean I donât care but you can see how it all can be annoying. I personally think that being trans is ok but being a trans woman/man and being a cis woman/man are too different things.

I'm sorry, but transphobia is a fear of vans/other light commercial vehicles. It comes from 'phobia', meaning fear and 'trans', meaning transit van.
I personally don't like how gender is a thing. The problem with it is that people are trying really hard to fit into a category of a type of gender. We live in a society were you can't really do "feminine" actions or have feminine mannerisms, without being categorized as a female. One of the best examples of being at peace with your gender and sex is probably a "tomboy" someone who dresses in guy cloths, and does heavy lifting and things that are usually categorized as Masculine actions, yet they never claim to be male. They are just females doing whatever they want, and that what I feel everyone should just accept.
However society isn't kind to people with this sort of identity, so them transitioning is probably the best with the society we have now.
in my opinion there are 2 genders, male and female. then there are people who have genderdysforia which is a disorder that prevents you from identifying with the gender you are born with. to help people identify with themselves and their body, they often transition into the other gender. these changes involving change once hormone balance, removing or adding breasts and change the genitalia to represent the other genders. these changes make a person completely sterile.
I do agree that all these extra genders are completely rubbish, but transgenderism is not. in my opinion we shouldn't teach children these things till they are at least 14.
Yes, I think it's absolutely nuts and the nuts are winning. Like a lot of movements, they target the children. And these ideologues have succeeded in getting their warped world view into the schools in many cases. So you've got a lot of what would otherwise be normal, healthy, well-adjusted children having their psycho-social development messed up by this fruitcake ideology.

I did write a big ass paragraph. But I thought it was too long and got off point many times.
Long story short, yes, it has gone too far.
People only care about what you are, what you do and what you identify as... when you shove it in their face.
Example: "Oh my god, did you just assume my gender?" (Not everyone does this I understand that, just a stereotypical example)
To be offended by someone who assumes that everyone is a standard human being of "You are male, therefore you are male, and you like boobs." or vice versa with female, is just not worth stressing themselves out over. You can't be offended by someone assuming what is perfectly... well, normal.
Now for any of you who may get annoyed by my opinion... I don't care what you have to say if you wish to argue with me. And the reason I remain anon is because I don't want the triggered people to message me and get all !!! with me.

Also didn't read the description until now... the way the world is going. It should be taught in schools yes. Because like it or not, this IS the normal now, and the more people ignore that fact. The more these people of none standard genders and sexualities are going to feel supressed.
Either pay no mind to it or treat it as normal. Best way to deal with any problem relating to what people are.
Anything that spreads awareness and kills ignorance is welcome in my opinion. Acknowledging transgender people as real people and trying to understand them is not âtoo farâ. I think it will also mediate some of the hate crimes transgender people experience (trans women in particular). These concepts of identity, expression, sex and attraction are intuitive
The whole point of the Transgender movement in my opinion (I dont know what their views are really since I was never interested) is that gender are more complicated than simply "Man" and "Woman". It is not they that are pushing to strictly categorize everything into neat little boxes but to express that it is individualistic. It is only "Going too far" because you can't let go of old stereotypes and clearly defined genders. It is far easier to just let people be people.
Those labels have nothing to do with the transgender movement. Transgenderism is the belief that you are the opposite gender and want to transition to that gender in order to feel right in your own skin. These other labels were made up by people who are not transgender, but either wanted to feel special and different, or really have some other kind of body dysmorphic disorder.
EVERYTHING is going to far. It's confusing young children and their force feeding down your throats. Yet complain how 'religion' is the one that's doing it. This is a sick world we are living in.

Not a good point. Gender is not forced. There are certain roles that have been pushed like men have to be macho and aggressive or women have to stay at home and cook but this is not attributes of one gender.
Men and women think differently and use different parts of the brain to find solutions. This is something we've known for years. Gender roles society has created are bad, gender itself is not. Being a male and having "feminine" interests does not change your gender.

In America and most Western countries this is simply not true. Women have more opportunities to grow and be equal than ever before. The women own the house house hence the term "what the wife says, goes" and as statistics have proven time as time again, the wage gap is a myth.

@SirRexington, nowadays the gender equality have improved a lot in the Western world. But gender equality don't exist in every countries and not every Western countries have always been like how it's today.

My main point is that it was EXTREMELY enforced in the past, and that has left a mark that continues on today. Women are looked down upon if they do not want to be a stay at home mother. If they do not want to be a mother at all they are thought to have something wrong with them (And do not try to deny this. There are very good reasons why societies created gender roles. Only 4% of women can even meet the male minimum standards for the military. That isn't even taking into account if these women get pregnant. A woman trying to keep up with the men physically, is at risk for destroying her own reproductive system, do to the stress she is putting on her body just to keep up with the men.
Gender roles may be less important with modern technology, but humans are a sexually dimorphic species. It makes no sense that we would never have developed gender roles. Gender roles were important to the development of society, as shown by the fact that there are no great matriarchal societies that ever formed. The matriarchal societies that do exist live in horrible conditions, and aren't invaded and destroyed, only because they have nothing worth taking. There are differences between men and women, and enhancing those differences with social pressure has helped society develop to this point.

That was underage age sex, rape because of her age but it was consentual. The law did state that he had to know she was underage and she did obviously not look underage. If she didn't want to have sex why did she consent?

If she didn't consent then he would have been done for rape because she didn't consent, he got let off on a technicality within the law that stated he must have known she was underage before having sex and due to her looking older than her age, he got away with it. If she had been violently raped then that part of the law wouldn't have made an ounce of difference.

That man did not put a knife to her throat and rape her. He simply made a mistake because she looked older than she really was. "statutory rape" there, if you are an expert then you should realise what that means, that there was no violence, no forcing just the fact she was underage.
@Maddie03 Once again, that does not say she consented. statutory rape means sex with a minor. Okay lets look at this. Lets say the sex was consensual. She was in a foster home so she has no parents (Caring for her at least). She wanted the sex. She did not get pregnant. This means that in order for a rape case to start, she had to file for a rape case. If it was consensual, that case would not have been started because you don't go to the courts and go "I decided to have sex with a dude and I would like to file rape!" She was a runaway, hungry and tired. She never consented and if she had consented at least a few articles would've said that she consented
or she thought this guy is going to look after me ill give him some sex then when he told her he didn't want a relationship she decided yeah he raped me, you dont know exactly what happened so you simply cannot judge! the man didn't know she was 13, he also didn't know she was homeless and from foster care.. its ok making decisions afterwards when everything is out in the open but you cannot say people are guilty when they thought they were perfectly within their rights to do what they did.
you think i am disagreeing with you, i am not! i agree totally that rape needs to be dealt with and anyone found guilty should be in jail for a long long time but you are pointing out these cases and only looking at them from one side and you just can't do that in a democratic society

He found a girl who he did NOT know was homeless (apparently according to you) and decided "she needs a place to sleep right? cuz girls who are not homeless need a place to sleep at night" That seems odd... He must have known she was a runaway if she needed a place to stay! But if you find a runaway... aren't you supposed to report that to the police?
Or he from his point of view he met this girl in the park who seemed into him and wanted some sex and a few drinks.. he didn't know she needed somewhere to stay, he didn't know she was homeless. You are making it up to suit your argument and in a court of law you can't do that, you need to look at both sides equally
@Maddie03 If you are homeless you do not look all fresh and nice. You have old clothes on and no money. No makeup and no nice hair. Maybe she looked older than 15 but there is no way she looked like an adult that is impossible. Most 16 year olds couldn't even pass for an adult. So this man saw someone who probably looked in their late teens, who had old clothes on, no makeup and probably at the most, just brushed hair (if she had a brush). And decided to offer her a place to sleep and food and drink. CLEARLY he knew she was not just out for a walk

Anyways, alright fine. Lets say she has access to a shower, makeup, and freshly washed clothes because we know homeless runaways have access to that, right? She may have looked older than 13, but there is no way she looked 5 years older than her age. So here is a girl who is probably still in school - but above the age of consent - so I shall offer her a place to sleep, and some food and drink because thats a normal thing to offer girls out on a walk who aren't homeless?
I am not insulting you, when I say you know nothing, I am referring to the case - you don't KNOW how old she looked, you dont know what she was wearing, when her last shower was, if she had make up on, brushed hair etc. You aren't privvy to that information, so you can't just assume things. The article states he asked her back to his for "drinks" that usually means alcohol, he asked her back to his house for a few drinks not because he thought she was homeless but because he thought she was interested in sex with him.
@Maddie03 Alright so lets assume she's a homeless runaway but looks GREAT. There was NO WAY at all that he could've known she was homeless Minimum age of drinking in Sweden is 18. There is literally no way a girl could look above 18 at age 13. Her body may but her face? No way at all. So he was still committing a crime of offering alcohol to a minor.
it actually is, if you are on trial for one crime you cannot be punished for another.. unless they start another case, presumably they didn't see a case to answer so didn't bother,.
@Maddie03 my issue issue is that chart up there. If ALL those people were rapists as in they were all proven to be, why were they not jailed. It shows they were not convicted so how can we say for sure that they were...
@SirRexington While that is a good point, the chart even has unreported rapists on it, which is crazy. There would be no evidence of a rape even happening, so there is no telling how many unreported rapes actually occur. It is clearly based on some man hating feminist propaganda, which seeks to brainwash young girls, such as this young lady, into the cult of feminism. What feminists have been doing is changing the definition of rape, so that even if a husband sleeps with his wife after she takes some cold medicine, it can be counted as an unreported rape, whenever feminists do these types of surveys. Feminists commonly count women as being raped, even as the woman denies ever having been raped. To some feminists, all sex is rape, so it really shows how they twist their studies to get such high numbers of "rapists". Even of the reported but not prosecuted rapes, roughly 40% of reported rapes turn out to be the woman lying, which is why a lot of reported rapes are never prosecuted.
I think it has gone overboard when you have people being fired over "misgendering". Why should anyone give a shit what you call yourself? That's for you to decide. It gets really annoying when people call themselves all those new terms because it is trendy when there are people that actually identify as these things. Nearly every woman I saw on OKC was a pansexual genderfluid non-binary manic pixie.
I think before we go teaching this in schools, we need to have the psychological and social science communites weigh in on the matter. That is, to separate what's actually a sociological/psychological phenomenon versus what's just a cultural thing.

It goes beyond just wanting to be left to live as they please. It has become about telling others how they must behave. Like making a big deal about "misgendering" even when it's unintentional.
