I'll tell ypu what it did... it stops men from meeting in their office one on one... and maybe even hiring females... same qualification employers will take men
No, accusation, whether true or not. It's great that the spotlight is being shined on so many evil fuckers who have committed those crimes. That kind of attention is always a double edged sword. The more momentum a movement involving justice or punishment is, the more likely innocent people will be accused and wrapped up in it as well. Virtually any sort of crusade for justice winds up becoming a far out of control witch hunt, especially if it has loads of social or political power backing it. Say, Spanish inquisition, crusades, jihad, witch trials, and too many to name.
"No, accusation, whether true or not." Wow, really? I can understand false allegations. But if you've been assaulted, and report it to the authorities, you're using it as a weapon against someone?
It's not the people telling the truth we have something to fear against! In those cases, justice is most likely going to be done. It is the false accusors that has makes us scared! Even a false allegatuon can ruin your life. If you consented to having sex, and then reget afterwards, that isn't a sexual offence! Neither is accidentally touching your arm.
That's not remotely close to what I said, nor anything I implied.
Let me ask this, what is the difference between a false allegation and a true allegation? In my opinion, the only difference is proof, evidence that it occurred.
Your second statement is making a huge assumption, that a person was *indisputably* assaulted, and then reported it to the authorities.
The current climate regarding sexual assaults causes knee jerk reactions like your own, a running leap to defend someone who was hurt and probably needs help. It's right and proper to offer support to people who make those claims, but anything beyond support should be done with care.
The desire to bring the accused to justice is often so intense that the accusation alone is enough to destroy their career, cause their family to feel ashamed of and possibly hate the accused, break up marriages, etc.
Since the accusation is often not made for months or years, evidence is usually missing in that case, rendering the accusation unprovable. Even if the accusation is made immediately, the available evidence may not be enough to corroborate the victims account of events, much less prove someone guilty. Remembering that virtually every justice system in the developed world is based on the notion of an individual's innocence until *proven* guilty, it is a little clearer why the emphasis on what is proven and what isn't is so important to me, as well as how making claims should never be done lightly.
It's admirable that people want to do whatever they can to step up and help those who have been assaulted. My admiration doesn't change the fact that amidst those brought to justice by this movement, there are tens of thousands of men being falsely accused, who aren't in the media spotlight, and who may be innocent. Their lives get ruined regardless.
Apologies to an innocent man after the fact are completely worthless in the face of a life ruined and dreams shattered by someone who saw an opportunity to make an accusation that they knew could be neither proved nor disproved by anyone.
I wanted to make the point that regardless of an accusation being truthful or not, and the accused guilty or not, the point of accusing someone is either to bring them to justice or to tarnish their reputation/harm/undermine them. *ANY* accusation, regardless of when, what, why, where or how, is the definition of a weapon. It initiates the entire system of punishment in any Justice system, anywhere in the world. Outside of the justice system it remains a weapon that clarifies, seeks the truth, initiates resolution as well as conflict. Despite the content of the accusation, it is without doubt, a very potent weapon.
I can't understand how the NYPD has a video from Anthony Wieners laptop that said insurance on it. Showing Uma Abadeen and Hirary Clinton having sex with a 13 year old girl and neither one is in jail yet? Talk about power and was said police detectives broke down in tears after seeing it.
Not a single bit. I've always been a respectful guy towards everyone including women, and I didn't wait for a hashtag to feel concerned about sexual harassment... I'll still approach women as I always done, kindly, respectfuly, and with sincerity... in a romantic way, or not... and if this is considered rude and earns me a "#metoo award", i'll gladly assume it!

Most males should be VERY hesitant to approach women, even to say Hi because as the MePoo movement has shown, women can and will claim ANY contact vocally or physically is sexual assault or harassment if they don't like the guy. These wannabe victims have destroyed all male female relationships because they so desperately want the attention of being a victim that a male simply showing interest is used to perpetuate false victimhood.
I've checked your little replies to other people. You are just a little SJW keyboard warrior. Well just remember that women agree with me, NOT you. Fewer than 20% of women identify as a feminist in the USA. In the UK it's about 8%.
Lost trust in women. Makes me apprehensive in general. So many accusations that have happened this year. Most with little to no evidence or prosecution. So anything goes I guess..
I am totally against sexual abuse etc.. But this free for all has no due process and is scary..
Definitely. I think it's important that women are more aware of what is really going on. We need to stop putting ourselves in boxes to fit what men needs us to become. I think this is great for the future generation of women.
Given the amount of dislikes you get from the guys you might want to think that trough. Because movements like this create a future where guys are no longer going to care about showing interest in women and you either work extremely hard to gain there trust or you end up alone. The old days where a physical compliment was seen as flirting and an initiation for a relationship if she was interested in him to should come back because they are creating a society full of depression and misery by going this far against tradition and human nature.
yeah because if we break up an she doesn't like me I'm going to jail on false rape charges. and if i try to talk to a girl or tell my friend i think a girl is hot i go to jail for false charges of sexual harassment. gotta love feminazis huh

oh and since I'm black if a white girl accuses me i won't make it to trial because not only do i have to put up with feminazis, but now actual nazis have been emboldened by the walking carrot in the whitehouse
Not really. Then again, these days I live in a situation where potential romantic interests mostly include cows, donkeys and pigs, and the prerequisite of turning into a zoophilic :p So it hardly matters how I look at anything really
It helped empower me a bit. As I used to make excuses for guys that weren't good for me and kind of rationalize their behavior. Now I listen to my inner voice more and recognize when to leave unhealthy relationships.
It has considerably changed the the way how some men (myself included) view and understand relationships and even casual dating for that matter.. take for instance the Aziz Ansari incident which was an absolute shambles.. I mean for goodness sakes.. what the hell is non verbal cues

It makes me want to be more up front about everything. If I make any girl uncomfortable, please let me know. I don't want to ever be compared to these monsters. This shows the importance of communication. I don't want to bring back traumatic memories
Yes, now the women can complain to instagram, if the dating doesn't go as they want.

Well I know I won't ever get accused of any of that mess because I don't go to women at all , I don't interact with women unless i'm forced to like a cashier at a store, paying a bill over the phone, etc to or they talk to me first hell, i hardly give women any eye contact either and this #MeToo thing won't faze me because I've already taken all of the actions i need to take so I'm good, I will never have to even worry about any type of accusations.
It seemed to me like you did, because you said you would reject any women raster because some women are feminists. So it is like blaming her for the fact that their are females that are feminists so she also has to suffer for it. Basically, I'm gonna cut off this girl because she is a women and that's what most feminists are.
I don't understand it some times. I try to be nice and they do the same, they come on strong and then when it goes somewhere I'm instantly in the wrong and there was no recollection of it. I hate being lied to.

Absolutely, it's an old weapon in the toolkit if one wants to abuse it. It's just gotten sharper and gained infinite reach
Rape? Assault?

It's shit like this that makes me hesitant to ever date.
@Hotterpop If women getting basic rights and justice makes you hesitant to date, then I hope you never do.
Sure sure that's what it's about. Luckily I don't give a shit about what you hope. This isn't about rights, it's about false rape accusations.
@Hotterpop Good riddance...:)
I've checked your little replies to other people. You are just a little SJW keyboard warrior. Well just remember that women agree with me, NOT you. Fewer than 20% of women identify as a feminist in the USA. In the UK it's about 8%.
@Hotterpop First of all, I don't identify as a feminist. Second of all, why should I care?
Didn't say you should
@Hotterpop Then why write it? It makes no sense. If most women agree with you, then why do you feel so threatened by this?
I'm not threatened by your comments. It's more for anyone else rather than you.
@Hotterpop I didn't mean my comments. I meant the question.
I'm not threatened by that either. Why are you still wasting my time? Didn't you say "good riddance?"
@Hotterpop Nothing better than that. Good riddance...
Bye then
@Hotterpop You're the one who kept answering me afterwards...
@cherryphi82 HA HA Western Women already have more rights than men FFS.
Spit out the Kool-Aid, you are old enough to know better.
Lost trust in women. Makes me apprehensive in general. So many accusations that have happened this year. Most with little to no evidence or prosecution. So anything goes I guess..
I am totally against sexual abuse etc.. But this free for all has no due process and is scary..
Relationships were ruined long before me. Hookup, groupie, causal sex culture my def change. Will be a lot more risky if you're a guy
yip.
It makes me even more wary of wanting to associate with women, that's about it
Awareness is great.
That it is. If only things weren't like this now...
Definitely. I think it's important that women are more aware of what is really going on. We need to stop putting ourselves in boxes to fit what men needs us to become. I think this is great for the future generation of women.

No. The me too thing is about liberal Hollywood filth raping women. I am not that. No issues.
It helped empower me a bit. As I used to make excuses for guys that weren't good for me and kind of rationalize their behavior. Now I listen to my inner voice more and recognize when to leave unhealthy relationships.
Yes. I am now afraid of being accused for something I didn't do when women can go around accusing anyone without evidence and ruin a man's life
It has considerably changed the the way how some men (myself included) view and understand relationships and even casual dating for that matter.. take for instance the Aziz Ansari incident which was an absolute shambles.. I mean for goodness sakes.. what the hell is non verbal cues

It should be pretty obvious if she's into it or not. I don't think any of these people who have been accused were unaware of what they were doing.
Feminism in general has made me less forgiving towards women and made me reject them much faster.
Your fault for assuming all women are feminists
@HenryThePooper I have made no statement that can be interpreted as such that I assume anything about women. You are assuming that. Now begone.
Any woman that is a feminist is a deal breaker for me.
It seemed to me like you did, because you said you would reject any women raster because some women are feminists. So it is like blaming her for the fact that their are females that are feminists so she also has to suffer for it. Basically, I'm gonna cut off this girl because she is a women and that's what most feminists are.
Unless you mean you are now much more weary of women because of the likely hood of her being a feminist. That I can agree with
I don't understand it some times. I try to be nice and they do the same, they come on strong and then when it goes somewhere I'm instantly in the wrong and there was no recollection of it. I hate being lied to.
