I'm in love with my boss and he knows it, advice?

I 've told my boss that I"m in love with him. He says he knows it. He continues to tease me & flirt, he went out to dinner with me as he promised me he would shortly after my birthday. Recently I asked him to meet me to talk . During that conversation I again professed my love for him (he's known for about 1 yr) He again told me he knows that I do, but that he doesn't feel the same way .I'm currently married (unhappily..and he knows it) & planning to get divorced .He told me that I should focus on my plans. I asked him if we could give things a try afterward. He said he doesn't forsee that happening, & that he didn't want to say it could happen because he's afraid I would hold on to the possiblity. I love him so much. He is a wonderful sweet &

caring man. I've backed off... I'll wait it out... I'm in no huge hurry.

I guess I question most why he would say he doesn't forsee

us trying out a relationship, while in the same breath he says

"and I don't want to say it's possible".To me the comment after implies that he might consider it but doesn't want to commit to it

right now . I'll do anything I need to do to be with him. I don't want to scare him off, so I'm laying low until I change what I need to in my life. With that done who knows where it will go from there. Any comments/suggestions that you feel will help me to be with the man of my dreams greatly appreciated

FYI : I also said to him I think we compliment each other well, he agreed with me & I said that I feel very comfortable around him always have, he said he felt the same as well (although he was uncomfortable being there talking about this)

ok well maybe it wasn't a good idea to tell him so soon ... but on the other hand at least its out in the air ..you say you are happily married above how could you be in love with someone else if you're happily married does you're husband know about you and your boss?and also how long are you and you're husband married and have you got any children ? becasue what about yer relationship if you choose this man ? Anyways my advice is follow your heart NOT your head ,break the rules and stand apart this is my liitle line that keeps me going because I'm in love with an older married man so I understand what you feel ! it can be good and bad but just remember do what makes you happy NO ONE else ! god this is long anyways hope I helped :) x

I am "unhappily married"... have been for years... my boss knows of my situation and circumstances surrounding my marriage. I'm married 29 years & have been with him for 32 yrs. My children are all grown. He is single...divorced with no children.

well 32 years is a long time to be with some one ? you couldn't just fall for someone else after being with your partner that long I mean maybe its just lust many people get this mixed with being in love ?

I've known my boss for seven years, this was something that occurred over a period of time, it wasn't that one day I saw him and wanted him. I've gotten to know him for the really wonderful man that he is over time. He's such a genuinely sweet and caring man. My marriage has been going by the wayside for some years now. I'm no longer in love with my husband, there's no intimate connection. My boss knows that I'm not happy in my marriage and knows I'm planning on divorce.

My only advice, which I know you do not want to hear, is do not pursue this if you value your job. There are so many things that can (and often do) go wrong with inter-office dating, let alone dating a superior.

This is only a part time job. I've known him for 7yrs. It's been a secret for over a year. We work together and no one has figured it out. If this did come to be, I'd transfer to another location.
