It's entirely possible to selectively breed any creature including humans.
I believe the Nazis tried this in a few concentration camps, but it wasn't voluntary.
Also humans are smart enough that we subconsciously selectively breed, going for who we find most attractive so that our children will hopefully inherit the traits we find attractive.
