Islam should be banned period. Not just the niqab. Any religion that proposes killing all non members of that religion (infidels) and refers to Jews as pigs and apes can simply be eliminated in my opinion.
Exactly! No idea why so many people tolerate a religion that's caused so much female genital mutilation, child brides, "honour killings", and terrorism... it is NOT a religion of peace. And it is NOT "racist" to oppose this violent, aggressive, and hateful ideology.
@softrosie lmfao female genital mutilation has nothing to do with islam, go watch and read about it its about cultures. Some cultures that caused this
"FGM was introduced in Southeast Asia by the spread of Shafi'i version of Islamic jurisprudence, which considers it obligatory." en.m.wikipedia.org/.../Religious_views_on_female_genital_mutilation
Can't believe you're defending them on this. "Some cultures"? Yeah, WHICH cultures? Cause it sure as hell isn't in civilised ones.
@softrosie i do a course in college about ethnic groups and cultures its part of my psychology lesson and we talked about it. And it had nothing to do with islam but rather some cultures in Africa. Thats why mos middle eastern countries dont even do it most Islamic. countries dont do it.
Yeah and those cultures in Africa, which religion do they follow. I'm just saying, there's a REALLY strong correlation between Islam and FGM. And even if there weren't, all the other factors still stand - Islam is not, and never has been, and never will be, a religion of peace, and we need to do away with it before it becomes an even bigger problem than it already is.
its not islamic at all its some cultures that practice it. You can go and watch documentaries about it and read about it from reliable sources. No arab countries practice this
Seriously? you're going to come on here and plainly claim that NO ARAB COUNTRIES, NONE at all, practice FGM? Not even ONE? You're so wrong it's not even funny.
Iraq. Egypt. Yemen. You could argue that Sudan and Somalia are culturally Arab countries, and yes, they practice a LOT of FGM.
@softrosie iraq nah fam lmao I have Iraqi friends and they dont practice it
I don't give a shit about your Iraqi friends!!! I'm talking national reports, not "oh my friend says it doesn't happen lmao"
http://www.stopfgmmideast.org/countries/iraq/
It's LEGAL to commit female genital mutilation in central Iraq! Are you serious?
Nope. If it's cold outside can I not wear a ski mask?
In France it's actually banned, but if cops try to enforce the law, they have a high risk of being physically attacked by all the muslims around.
When ban , or force things, prepare for war. You young people say it like people are waiting in line to be told what to do.
The trouble with the niqab is, most women who wear it *are* being told to wear it - by male relatives.
Banning it sends a clear message that it's not acceptable.
@JimRSmith Banning them gets your ass blown up too
That happens whether you ban them or not.
@JimRSmith The funny thing all the 20 and nothings on here are critical of Army, yet want all this stuff forced on people. You need the Army to force it. Millenials will never get it.
the question is do you want ninjas taking over the world?
Do not ban their is freedom of religion and part of their belief is wearing that outfit also if you ban that what's next are you gonna ban hoodies they are very similar in use and structure
Hmm I don't know really i am slightly on the side of it being banned.
Hijab looks better
My friend wears it and she got the swag 🤟
While I voted B. I think the ninja look should be saved for Halloween.
I get your point... but freedom of expression and all, so no ban.
Yeah, you can't refuse to have a picture of your face on your passport for religious reasons, i'm not saying this happens all the time but it could happen that they commit crimes and no one knows how they look because of the niqab.
Yeah, banning migrants and the Quran too will be as good
You are so ignore. Quran is the best book between other religions. Have you read Quran? Noooo
Real religion is not that. Quran is the freedom book and Islam is the indepence
Sorry girl but you don't know what you're talking about.
I've read the Quran, I'm sure more than you did.. and it's full of hate, pedophilia, violence, racism, sexism, and sex slavery. And it is not wrong translation. I'm Egyptian and I know Arabic and I've compared translations and they're right. In fact the English translation on Google are wrong
l don't mind if they wear it as long as they are not been forced to wear it from family or husband to be? Would any one ever think of Banning the wearing of the kilt in Scotland l don't think so
I'm not a fan of banning stuff in general, but it's always a bit scary, and in some parts of Europe can be dangerous even, you have no idea if they might have a gun under that
No it is not right to ban it in public.
Basically I believe it should be left up to the end user whether she wants to wear or not...
No It should not be banned.
Absolutely not.
Why not?
You're 14, I can almost 100% guarantee you're going by an emotional argument instead of a rational one. Think for yourself.
@softrosie I am thinking for myself.
I became Muslim for a reason
You still gave no reason why it shouldn't be banned.
@softrosie Because, why should a woman be forced to not wear Niqab.
That's terrible.
They have other options. Like, so many other options to choose from.
@softrosie You are saying if i want to wear Niqab I should be forced to not wear it?
Yeah. Wear literally any other headscarf.
@softrosie That's crazy, that's just as bad as forcing a woman to wear it.
Banning Niqab is an infringement on people's personal and religious rights.
They're not banning all religious headwear, just the ones that cover your face.
If I started a religion where half of my followers were required to wear masks everywhere, would you be completely comfortable with that? You can't tell who's behind the mask, so if they hurt you, you can never find them again.
Doesn't matter. It's still someone's religion belief and your banning because of potential dangers. Do we ban catholic priest and they rape little boys all the time. More importantly, allowing the government to ban any form of religious freedom sets a dangerous precedent.
Christ so much to unpack here.
1) "banning because of potential dangers"? YES, actually. What's wrong with defending ourselves against a potential threat? Like I said, I haven't seen any country propose banning any headwear, just the ones that hide faces. And Islam actually only talks about covering hair, not the full face, so it's not even a part of their religion.
2) "do we ban Catholic priest... all the time" At least people are addressing this issue. Even the fucking pope is addressing this. But ask any Muslim, they don't address the problem with burkas and niqabs. You're using a strawman argument - not all priests "rape little boys all the time", and when they do, they get punished. Not sure what this has to do with banning the niqab, unless you're equating wearing the niqab to a crime like raping children, which is pretty Islamophobic™️ of you :)
3) "allowing the government... dangerous precedent" the thing is, they're NOT BANNING THE RELIGION (as much as I honestly think they should). It has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with public safety. If you walked around your city with a full face mask on, I'm sure you would get questioned for it. It's not "discrimination against wearing full face masks", it's just a matter of safety. It's suspicious to want to cover your face all the time out in public, and you have LITERALLY NO IDEA who is under a burka.
They're not banning religious freedom, they're still allowing Muslims to practice their ways, but they can't allow for Muslims to have special privileges over everyone else. They can't just go around hiding their faces all day and scream "religious freedom!!!" When someone calls them out for it. It's dangerous, and it's a good thing to prevent problems before they start.
Allow me to quote one of the founding fathers. Anyone that is willing to compromise essential liberties for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Two potential dangers is how xenophobia begins
Three if you can't see how banning this could turn into a slippery slope than I'm not going to explain it to you.
Go along now, and become blind to how this could, using the word you stated earlier, "potentially" lead to the end of freedom. Do you think that government control happens all at once. No it doesn't. It happens slowly, with people telling others to give something up because it's for safety. Smh. And yes I contradicted myself by explaining this to you.
It's her choice. You are very pretty by the way.
Thanks
No here in merica we believe in freedom
In public, women should be forced to wear full burkas, with dark sunglasses.
It should be banned in entire world
If they demand wearing it then let to go back home a d wear it all they want. In these days of terror its not tooo much yo ask
Like that yes... only in non Muslim countries.
It seems more of a threat to others.
Yes, it is a threat.
You can't ban people's beliefs!
No, it shouldn't be.
Yes it should
no it is expressing freedom of religion.
it is kind've unnerving
The full body one maybe
no..
