I think racial preferences are rooted in the idea that one or more races is better or worse than others. Those ideas are usually based on stereotypes and prejudice.

Some people just are naturally not attracted to opposite races while others hide and deny there attraction to an opposite race because of others beliefs or opinions that's the people I'd call racists
